We are flying out of Newark on Friday, July 27th. Non-stop. Coming home on Wed., August 8th (also non-stop) - fare right now is $1,250 with Continental. This is just about what we paid many months ago. There are at least 10 seats available scattered all over (don't remember though what your plans/pre-cruise if any were).

Sorry to hear that - can they just cancel a flight like that? Keep us posted.

Non stop sounds AWESOME!! I am going to check Continentalnow.

I am so sorry to return our discussion to airfare....we discussed this so many months ago.....

If I get off of the ship in the 8th and have a 12:55pm flight, will I be able to make that flight?

Those of you going home onthe 8th, what time is your flight?

You should make that mines 13:05 ten mins after yours, even with three hour check in should be ok.

I vote to keep the design I love it and I'm sure the CMs aboard will too, It's all advertising and as long as we aren't trying to make money from it and are giving positive publicity I'm certain they won't have a problem, they are used to seeing groups with door magnets, tee shirts lanyards etc.

I start back to work next Monday, as I've been off since my surgery. 10weeks Im really nervous about going back, but at least the sats will be over and also my school had ofsted the week after my operation.

I called DCL again and got an email address that I could send a picture of the lanyard design. I was told they would research it and get back to me in writing. Lets cross our fingers and toes.

I'm on the mediterranean cruise in July and a group of us from the DIS forum wanted to make lanyards (about 100) to hold our Key to the World card. I called DCL last week and explained the design and was told there was not problem but thought I would email you a picture of the lanyard design to see if you see any problems with us making them up. The lanyards will not be sold and is strictly for personal use. We will place one consolidated order to have them made up. Do you see any problems with the design? Right now everyone seems to favor design E, the black lanyard. If you do see a problem, can you be specific about what it is so we can hopefully re-design the lanyard to make it acceptable to the cruise line.

If a castmember says something, I think we should all agree to tell them that we called DCL and were assured that what we chose is fine.

What a nightmare - our original flights had some time changes - that is annoying enough because it affects the connection time we have. I think the airline should find flights for you - if we aren't allowed to cancel, they shouldn't be able to either!!

Thanks, the science papers were today it seemed fair to us and the children seemed happy, quite a bias towards changes of state and very little forces work!

Good luck with going back to work I can understand your nervousness things move so fast in school you can feel out of the loop really fast, however by the same logic it also means that by the end of week one you'll feel like you were never away!

I'm glad you had Ofsted thats one of my big stressors right now. We've not been done for 6 years 2 terms, so we're well overdue, everyday I'm waiting for the call and it's becoming more and more stressful, I don't think we'll do too badly but I just want it to be over

Still 9 more working days until half term and then we can really start to count the days to the cruise.

When do you break up Helen? I notice you will be in Barcelona precruise we finish on Wednesday 25th July.

We set our alarm for 2:55 am and tried to get on to make Palo reservations. They didn't add any availability for Palo or excursions. I looked to see if new cruisers were complaining about not being able to book Palo or excursions but there doesn't seem to be anything.
However, this morning we called our TA and changed our room to a Cat 12. they are refunding us almost $3000. There seems to be lots of room on the ship and they have dropped the price of the Cat 12 to 3700. for 2 people.
The savings will pay for our excursions, tips and other costs on board.

Kyla (Jeanne), I really think you and CPer(Brian) have done an outstanding job organizing, designing and checking to see what everyone wants, etc.....I don't think the cruise staff is spending their time checking for lanyard infringements..........(they're too busy at the adult pool, chasing out the youngins' ) Worse case scenario.........let's wear them when we're on excursions when we're off the ship! I know Laura was just trying to help but it's a really big ship!!

Sorry about the flight cancellation, we are leaving on the 8th at around 12...remember, you can leave the ship really early on departure day....I'm more worried about our arrival time (early Saturday morning).....BTW, we are traveling out of Philadelphia, nonstop to BAR for under $1000. I think the best I can find is Air France $1079 RT Dulles to Paris and Paris to BCN.

I have decided to switch to CAT 12....my TA Sue Ellen at Dreams is going to do this in the morning for me.

I just e-mailed Sue Ellen (does anyone use her at Dreams?? she is awesome and takes such good care of me) we have been batting back and forth on e-mail all night.....I decided to switch to CAT 12 I save about $5300.....and that will pay for the extra airfare. I wish I could use that $5300 to pay for excursions.....but all in all this is just better for my family. This is really no ones fault...just one of the little bumps in life.

How can I complain?? I am going to spend 2 weeks in the MED on a Disney cruise.....WHO cares if I have a balcony or a window or an inside room???

I have thought a lot about this tonight....I watch two families who live less than a mile from me bury their children last month after a crazy gunman killed them at the school my son will attend. I have nothing to complain about. My family is safe and happy and we are going on vacation.

Well as a newbie, I had to wait until today to book excursions. I was a little dissapointed to find that the only excursion that was of any interest to me, is already sold-out. I'm really thankful for Andrew and all the help he has posted in doing it privately.

I haven't even bothered with Palo as unless you were cat 3 it seems you couldn't get any reservations. At this point, I probably wont be able to book anything in the spa either. Unless I rush straight there and book onboard as soon as possible.

I can only say that it seems that Disney only caters to those that have cruised before. I can understand that, as being a repeat cruiser you should have some perks. But, I have heard from a lot of other people that their whole experience, such as not being able to book this or that, has left a sour taste in their mouth.

Great news on the savings. Did you have to pay a cancellation fee to rebook at category 12?
