I would love to ask a question...it may sound stupid.....why would you want the reels?

Most times people don't get them but they are convenient especially if you don't want to be wearing your lanyard all the time, you can remove your badge reel and clip it to your belt or pocket or purse.

I called DCL again and got an email address that I could send a picture of the lanyard design. I was told they would research it and get back to me in writing. Lets cross our fingers and toes.

Dear Disney Cruise Line,
I'm on the mediterranean cruise in July and a group of us from the DIS forum wanted to make lanyards (about 100) to hold our Key to the World card. I called DCL last week and explained the design and was told there was not problem but thought I would email you a picture of the lanyard design to see if you see any problems with us making them up. The lanyards will not be sold and is strictly for personal use. We will place one consolidated order to have them made up. Do you see any problems with the design? Right now everyone seems to favor design E, the black lanyard. If you do see a problem, can you be specific about what it is so we can hopefully re-design the lanyard to make it acceptable to the cruise line.

I work in a school and we have tight security and everything is locked. So as Asst. Administrator I have to have keys and be able to get into any room. I've been wanting something to clip the keys onto and the reel looks like it will do the job perfectly. Also, it will remind me of my great cruise while I'm running around the school next fall doing everything I have to do.

I watched the Med DVD. SO I don't remember that big screen on deck 10 Is that new? did anyone else get their new CC cards in the mail yet? Or am i the last one to get them? (like the Med DVD). I need to watch that DVD again, so I can remember how to pronounce some of the port names like Citivavechia (Ok, I can't even spell it).

I'm already packing. Anyone else?

Caution: these are not heavy duty reels. I doubt they will be able to handle keys. They only really can handle the weight of the badge holders. Its a string reel and will break. The reel is going to be plain (no writing on it).

I heard from my sister that the Med DVD is the same as the iPod video. The Med DVD came separate from anything else.

We got our CC cards several weeks ago, but nothing else. What is the video like?

The big screen has been on Deck 10 for a couple of years on the Magic and just recently on the Wonder.

If Disney will not let us wear the lanyards on the ship, what about on land and have them for a momento of our cruise?? There has been so much hard work put into them and they are so neat!!

And all of you teachers out there...my dh is a former high school band director and I have been a secretary in the school system until I retired a year ago St. Patrick's Day!

It looks like maybe we should do 10am or 4pm in the Promenade Lounge....I'm thinking 10am b/c at 4pm, we may be involved in swimming, ship activities or sleeping off the traveling?

Is anyone planning on using a fanny pack in Europe? I always use one at WDW and put my camera in it, too, I find them very convenient. but I'm not sure about what to use on this trip.

Promenade lounge at 10 am is fine but we'll go along with whatever is decided.

Thanks everyone for the welcome backs - got back last night - woke up tired and rundown so am taking it easy until this afternoon where I will kick back into exercise mode!

Anyway, I am in the process of opening up a Sony imagestation as I have too much trouble with photobucket to share pictures. I was looking at the Magic Sendoff and I managed to capture a clear picture of the banner with some of those DISsers behind it - however, since the ship didn't leave until 5:26 when it passed us at the park next to the restaurant Grills, I am assuming that those with early dinner were getting ready. The ship didn't seem that crowded but the time could have something to do with it.

I am excited to be back - tired but back. Also, managed to hook up with friends from the UK and boy did they tell me some insights on scams being run so will post those at a later date. If I forget - someone remind me. Tuesdays are usually pretty busy for me so I will probably be on late this evening.

In the meantime, thanks all - had a blast, regrouped and am re-dedicating myself to having a happy life and marriage. Highly recommend this trip.

Where are all these posters? I know of one who is not cruising anymore. Were all these posters on our cruise? or just posting? I know I have posted on two other cruise meet threads (one in May and one in June).
