Lanyard Design Options (by formerCPer)

Design E is the Winner!

Cost for lanyard design E will be about $3.00

I was thinking of ordering once I get everyone's payment and bringing them to Barcelona or the DIS meetup to pass out.
OK, I think we should probably get the order in no later than June 15th, preferably closer to June 1. I'm waiting on samples of the badge holders and see what the lanyard maker needs to start on the lanyards.
If anyone else wants to order a lanyard, please let me know before June 1
Please note: I called the lanyard maker and DCL regarding the design of these lanyards and if there were any copyright or trademarked problems. Both told me they were OK with it since we are using them for personal use and not selling them (thats why I need your payment first before I put the order in). Although DCL said that the design is OK, they said there is a small chance that guest services may request that we not wear the lanyard (I guess if the Disney police are onboard).

I posted this on the previous page, but in case you haven't seen. Some people were confused on how things attach together. Hopefully, this will clear it up:

Here is the lanyard with the badge holder (except ours will be vertical)

Here is the lanyard with badge reel (except ours will come as two pieces: a lanyard with J hook (as shown in the above pic). Each badge reels has a belt clip in back. The J hook hooks on the belt clip of the badge reel. See the little tab on the badge reel? That will snap onto the top of the badge holder. The badge holder will hold your Key to the World card.

On my on line reservation where can I see that we are linked I can't seem to find it

Lynn, if you go into my cruise plans and retrieve your reservation, if you click on book excursions it brings up availabilty on all the excursions, scroll right down to the bottom of the page and you will see who is linked in your reservation.

I am still keeping my old passporter for 2008 as it has the Mexican ports of call.

I like the lines in the new Passporter, that they feel its unlikley the Magic would go back to West coast and Mexican riveria again!!!!!!

I've downloaded the podcasts fine here in the Uk.
I installed the itunes store software and then you can just download the podcasts it's taken quite a while but they are quite good, my hubby and I think they'll be the programmes that they show in your staeroom on board.

Say all you UK people I hadn't thought about VAT being added onto prices at 16% it will make me think twice about on board purchases as we can't claim it back. I know it's hidden in all our purchases normally but to have it as an added extra on the DCL prices I'll wait until I'm on board in the states again I think!!

I have been on the repo cruise board once or twice but it moves way too fast for me.
I'll appear more once this cruise has finished, but work has been so bonkers this year I can't juggle all the balls!

To view the podcasts you have to download the Itunes software, then once you have that search the store for the disney med cruise and then download it's all free a bit timeconsuming but the videos are great once you've got them.

I managed to download everything except villefranche

Hi Guys - Laura here - I love the design but have one thought and am going to throw it out there again. Please don't get mad at me but I feel I have to say this:

I LOVE to wear my DIS lanyard. I try and wear it everynight and on any excursions. This helps me in identifying other DISsers and vice a versa. As I mentioned before, I've had lots of fun experiences while wearing it. I am concerned however with this: I too like the black but am SERIOUSLY concerned that should the police patrol ask us not to wear it -no matter that we aren't selling it - I'm going to be awfully . Not to mention upset that I can't display something that I paid $$ for as I am buying it all - the badge and reel. While not a lot of $$, it stills adds up.

Again, this is somewhat similar to the CC lanyard and if someone complains - "How come they got that one - why didn't we? And yes - it will happen - even as adults - this happens - I've been there when someone complained at guest services as to why someone had 2 CC lanyards while they only got one. Childish but it happens. Anyway, if someone complains and we're asked to stop wearing them, what then?

OK - anyone else with thoughts on this? As I mentioned, I like this design also, however, if its going to include a chance that we can't wear it due to conflicts - you know that MICKEY will win. What then?

I think tommorrow is the day for the new cruisers to book their Shore trips and Palo's etc. The website has been updated since the CC 90 day ones were booked, it is far easier to navigate now and shows all the time what you have booked and whats availabile so if you see for example something better, you can book it and cancel out the old one at the same time, rather than cancel and hope.

Did we decide on a Dismeet location??? I will update front page if we have.

Yes, here in the states we have Father's Day this year on June 17th. It's always on a June Sunday, mid month.
