My concern: if we match CC lanyard, then we will have to take a second look or possible just confuse the two. I for one - like the thought of being singled out as a fellow DISser instantly!

Well, that's definitely something to think about - this is my first time crusing as a CC member, so I haven't gotten a lanyard in the past. What does everyone else think? How about the badge reel? Who thinks that would be a good thing to have? Why?

Regarding the badge reels: I thought they would be good to have for whoever wants them. The minimum order is 10. So we might meet that. Its removable from the lanyard so you can use it when you don't want to use the lanyard, like when you are dressed up for dinner or when you are off on your own and don't want to stand out as a tourist. You can just clip it to your belt or purse. For me it becomes convenient if you need to "touch" your card to unlock doors or use it to hold a pass that you need to wave in front of someone without having to remove the pass/card from the badge holder. Obviously, thats not needed on the Disney magic since the key to the world card isn't used in that way to unlock doors. You have to remove it from the badge holder. Anyway, its not something you need to vote for. You can just add on the badge reel to your lanyard if you want it. I just need to have that minimum order of 10 to get them.

Hi!

Kidcoos3, we have a DD15 who is bringing her best friend who is 16. We also have two boys, one will turn 13 in Pompeii and one that will be 11 when we sail.

Even though my kids are excited about the trip, I'm not sure how social they will be on the cruise. DD is traumatized by the thought of being away from her BF for 3 weeks - how will she ever manage (I need a "drama smiley" here). She plans to work on her tan. My DS13 is a pretty quiet guy and takes awhile to join a group. My DS12 is bummed that he has to be in the group with the younger kids - he thinks he belongs with the 16 year olds I'm the social one - and after being married to a "quiet guy" for 20 years, I'm a lot quieter than I used to be.

Kind of worried about Andrew DEREK UK He's much quieter today than usual. Feeling any better Andrew??

Cost should be around $2.50 to $3.50 depending on what we choose. I was thinking of ordering once I get everyone's payment and bringing them to Barcelona or the DIS meetup to pass out.

There are two decisions needed, the lanyard (custom printed w/ or w/o reel or plain lanyard with custom printed reel) and lanyard design (see formerCPer's designs)
Lanyard Options:

1a) Same as option 1 but adds a badge reel for about a $1. (Really, this is an add-on option) The badge reel is removable, so you can just wear it clipped to you belt or purse when you don't want to use the lanyard. I would vote for 1pm as if we are lucky we could be having our palo brunch @11:30 (fingers x)

Is 1pm ok for everybody?

Last year our dis group met at the promenade lounge on deck 3. It worked out well. What do you think? We could use one of the tables to put the grab bags on.

I agree with the 1 grab bag from our home town - perhaps if we put a label on the front eg "Best wishes from Sunderland" then people who live in the same town (I think we have a few New yorkers) would be able to get something from else where. Does that make sense?

Talking of where people come from - I find it so interesting looking to see where you guys are from but Im not familair with the initals of the states (or even where some of the states are )

Dave and I are from the North East of England, we live right on the coast. Its great to walk the dogs and I really love the sea.

It's very disconcerting to wake up here in US and not see a post from Andrew- I'm a bit worried

Helen- I am going to try to post a map of the USA with little stars where we are all from, I too wonder where in England you are all from, of course I picture everyone right near Buckingham Palace !!

I dont remember too much about the layout of the ship- but how about a particular place outside ,near the sun and the lounge chairs- or- would that be too noisy ??This way anyone who comes late wont have to worry, cause many of us ,I think, would be lounging on deck when crusin??

But you guys are much more knowledgeable than me-
I also think one gift bag- I like the place of origin idea on the bag!!!

I only have 27 school days left!!!! I love being a teacher-!!

However when I have done the brunch before it is everybit of 2 hours....if not longer. If your Palo is 11:30, I do not think a 1pm brunch will be possible....

How about 10am or 10:30am ... would that be too early?

Im just wondering - how will you guys be with the time difference after travelling over from the states?

I know when we go to WDW the first few days we are up @ 4-5am as our bodies take a couple of days to adjust.
