My sister just switched from cat 11 to 12 and saved $3000. I guess I better get serious if I want to do this. Currently, we are on deck 5 and my husband wants to stay there, halfway up and halfway down. But it would be a $2000 savings to switch!:coffee:

OMG

Color me purple and green. When did this happen?

Palo Dessert:

This is our FAVORITE dessert on the ship. I even make it at home ( it takes a while and isn't as nice looking but the flavor is there) we got the recipe off the CC website.

My daughter's name is eLISAbeth does that count?:)

I have been sick for the past week and a half and that has been my excuse for not getting the house clean or meals cooked or laundry done. Now that I'm getting better they might catch on to how much time I spend on the DIS board. I can't believe what a mess this place is.

Welcome Dan and family.

What is it? We are doing brunch - is there yummy stuff there too?

OMG

Welcome Dan & Lisa :welcome:

Post here how many lanyards you want.
Now I need to go find the last lanyard post. Which page did I leave it on? I'm lost.

News on the lanyards. I got an email from DCL. It was very generic and just said that they can't give permission for use of copyrighted materials due to agreements they have with other vendors. This pertains to when we use an independent vendor to create the lanyards. If we make them at home, no problem. I had wanted a more specific answer than that but thats what I got. So I emailed back asking them to please identify what is copyrighted on our lanyard design.

Thanks for the welcome. We'll take six without the string pull thing.

Good luck with the rights thing. I can't help but wonder if this is one of those situations where it's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission:-)

Then again, they could make us all walk the plank on Pirate's night.
On the other hand, med waters are pretty warm.... Hmmm....

I once wanted to use Micky Mouse as the sorcerer's apprentice in a book, but it quickly became obvious that even if I got permission, there would be too many strings attached. So we had to create our own apprentice. Oh well.

You have all made my day!! I'm laughing sitting here by myself. Good thing DH isn't home yet.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Although he already thinks I'm crazy. When I talk about Sallie, Andrew, Helen, etc. and he originally thought I was talking about teachers at work. Then I explained that Sallie & Helen are teachers, but Andrew is not and we are worried about his BP and then he really thinks I've lost it.

No matter, we all get it don't we????:rolleyes1

Helen,
I have used relief bands on our past cruises for motion sickness. DH said they work great. I just have mine just in case. They are about $100 but are reusable. They are like a watch that you can set the intensity. Airline pilots use them and they are approved by the FAA for motion sickness. This site was more expensive but has a good picture. Speaking of which, I have to check my batteries to make sure they are good. They use a watch battery.

Hi - 1st time here.

My husband Dean and I will be joining you on the Med cruise 7/28. This will be our 1st cruise but not our 1st Disney experience... we went to Disney World for our Honeymoon in 2001. We are lucky to be traveling with DisneyMagic315's group (my BIL, SIL, their kids, her parents and some of their friends). To say we are "VERY EXCITED" doesn't say it. I can't stop talking about the trip to anyone who will listen. My sister in law just told me about these disboards this past weekend so I've been trying to read everything I can about excursions, packing etc etc.
Anyway - just wanted to say Hi. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Sallie,

Thanks for the cool bandana idea. Anything that will help is great.

Welcome MaryJo and Dean,

You will find that we are a friendly bunch, albeit a little nutty. But we have a lot of laughs and a lot of fun.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

If you check the first page of our thread, Andrew has made a list of very valuable info, and Kyla (Joanne) is taking care of ordering DIS layards for us for the cruise. If you go back a few pages, you will see her posts. The cost is around $3 or so. If you want any, just post to the board and she will see your thread.

Again, WELCOME ABOARD!!!!!:cheer2:

OMG I'm getting as bad as SOME people around her (who shall remain nameless) who will do anything for a pirate. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Guilty!:cool1:

Wendy -

Did you ask me about lanyards this weekend?
If I remember correctly, I think you asked if Dean and I wanted two and I said yes but I just want to make sure.

Mary Jo

We have been moving a lot slower on this one than the 'other' repo thread, their pirates are at the thousands, the 59,000 pirate went last night.

If you want we can say.

Hundred's ie 100/200/300/400 (like yours) etc, are Pirates, the thousands and 500's if we get to them again will be 'PIRATE CAPTAINS' not sure who has got them before but you are now a pirate:

So major pirates so far

JLAWALL 1000 1500pirate: pirate:

Okay, now I have no idea what you guys are talking about

Hello all

Just thought I'd drop in and introduce myself. I'll be on the cruise along with 5 other family members.

Though new to DISboards, this will be my 4th or 5th cruise (ok, so I'm not known for my good memory).

High point on this one so far was a stunning an miraculous transition from a category 11 stateroom (reserved over a year ago on the first day reservations were open), to a mysterious category 12 at a savings of about $5900 for 2 cabins. I'm still in shock. Can't wait to see what we get.

Would be glad to sign up for lanyards, but it seems the board won't let me Email Kyla because of a low post count - so hopefully someone might drop her a note? (or she'll spot this post...)

Dan

Welcome to the disboards and to our July 28th Med. cruise.

Try to read and catch up - even though I have been here since day one - I have no idea what they are talking about  -

No, seriously - enjoy the reading, planning and looking forward to your input.

Did you book any excursions? Palo? Spa?

We all want to know. :goodvibes
