Hello all

Just thought I'd drop in and introduce myself. I'll be on the cruise along with 5 other family members.

Though new to DISboards, this will be my 4th or 5th cruise (ok, so I'm not known for my good memory).

High point on this one so far was a stunning an miraculous transition from a category 11 stateroom (reserved over a year ago on the first day reservations were open), to a mysterious category 12 at a savings of about $5900 for 2 cabins. I'm still in shock. Can't wait to see what we get.

Would be glad to sign up for lanyards, but it seems the board won't let me Email Kyla because of a low post count - so hopefully someone might drop her a note? (or she'll spot this post...)

Okay, one more - Secret Deck 7 -

How do you get to the secret decks? We've only been on one cruise (Disney in 04?) - we weren't very adventurous then, I plan to be this time

Does anyone here know anything about the "noisy" rooms - one of ours is in that area - it is my kids' room. Two of them are heavy sleepers and the other one is an early bird - I think it'll be fine, but I just want to be prepared.

I did the CAT 9 to CAT 12 for one cabin and we saved $5300 for the one cabin!!
It makes it much more fun!! We won't be in the cabin much anyway. How many kids?? Ages??

Well, one of our gang still qualifies as a "kid" just barely at 17 (and is rather annoyed by it), two just graduated high school (call this a graduation gift - any excuse will do), and the rest of us qualify more or less as adults

I am still undecided if I should go with the reel thingy or just the vertical badges - can we oder both?

The vertical badge holder comes with all the lanyards. The badge reel is the only thing separate. You can add that on for $1

I have seen neck wraps that you soak in water overnight, and they supposedly keep you cool in hot weather- has anyone tried them?

I've tried the neck cooler. I use them at dog shows sometimes. They seem pretty good at keeping your neck cool.

Well to add some fuel to the fire!!

Now I need to go find the last lanyard post. Which page did I leave it on? I'm lost.

News on the lanyards. I got an email from DCL. It was very generic and just said that they can't give permission for use of copyrighted materials due to agreements they have with other vendors. This pertains to when we use an independent vendor to create the lanyards. If we make them at home, no problem. I had wanted a more specific answer than that but thats what I got. So I emailed back asking them to please identify what is copyrighted on our lanyard design.
