My wife (Perdie -on the boards) and I made a last minute booking for the July 28 Cruise as we are Americans living in London and since the price dropped so much we decided it was kind of a no brainer. We have never been on a Disney Cruise before in fact I made suprise reservations to take my wife on the Eastern Caribbean in Feb 2008 for her 30th birthday. Needless to say were excited about this trip and why we haven't had quite the countdown most have had on this thread we still can't wait to take our first Disney Cruise.
Welcome.................American Brits!!!:thumbsup2 We are a lively, blimey, crazy bunch...................good luck!!

Today I received price quote for private excursion in Naples for Amalfi/Pompeii. We are family of four looking for 2-4 to join us. Here is breakdown on price...

The cost for 4/6 passengers it is 550 Euros (US $650) and for 7/8 passengers it is 650 Euros (US $797) all excluding lunch and entrance fees.

I read on a couple of blogs that lunch was about 20 Euros (US $30) and well worth it. Tix to Pompeii are 10 (US $14.50) Euros each and audio tours are 2 for 9 Euros (US $13).

Any takers?

Well, we have the American Indians covered (nearly EVERYBODY from Oklahoma is part AI :)

I'll keep looking. DW and I are sitting down this weekend and deciding which to keep and which to switch. Still looking for others to share private excursions, but no luck thus far. Don't know what the problem is (sniffing underarm to check for odor).

I am the primary organizer of our trip and I'm getting stressed. So much to do. I know I'm going to forget something. The lists and spreadsheets you guys have provided are going to be a great help. Mary Jo, if you would share your PPT with Navigators that would be great.

Finally, send some pixie dust our way. We're on week 13 waiting for our passports to arrive. It's a big mess here in the U.S. right now for anyone trying to get one. I have contacted the office of our Congressman and they are on standby to jump in if we don't have them by July 12. But I wasn't too comforted by the statement of the staff member who took my call: "We've only had a few instances this summer where people weren't able to make their trip." :scared1:
OMG, good luck, I really think it will come very soon, when we got ours its was a 8 week wait, so you should get it anyday!!1:scared:

We're also waiting for our passports. Well, I have mine, but we're waiting on the kids. If they don't come in today/tomorrow, then I'm going to start calling on Monday. I don't want to be caught in the same boat as Marla. She got her passport in time, but her daughter's arrived the Tuesday AFTER the cruise set off. That has me worried.

We're on Passport Watch.

I know the feeling about being the primary planner. My kids say, "whatever you decide, Mom" - but I just want to make the right decisions.

I just decided to drop our 1st day in Barcelona excursion, I had booked us for the Spanish village/tapas/flamenco excursion, but I think we would rather explore the ship and get settled in our room, maybe take a nap, instead of running around, so that's the plan. Plus, I also want to TRY and get Palos when we're on board. If we don't make it, that's okay, but I think it would be a nice experience for us.

Okay, Brian, I uploaded the Navigators. I tried to put the ship itineraries & shore excursions in the correct order, but haven't proofed them yet. It's a huge file, so give it time to open. If you right-click on the slide, you should get an option to either edit slide or close slideshow. That will allow you to see them in normal view & then you can increase the view & actually be able to read them.

Okay, I'm way late for work. TTY guys later. Have a great day!
OMG! All this passport worry..........let us all know as soon as you get them!! I am reconsidering the Barcelona tour as well.............I have a feeling we won't want to leave the ship once we get on it.............I'll have to take a family poll!!!!!!!:hyper2:

Hi, I sent you a PM.
Does this excursion go to Herculaneum and Pompeii or just Pompeii. We'd like to try to do both if possible.
Sandra

MaryJo, I'm not sure if you got our room number. 2017 No upgrade.:sad1:

Sandra

This sounds pretty good but we're a group of 5 or 7 (depending on the Rents)

Good Morning Everyone! I thought someone would have a pirate: by now! I know it won't be me, have to run kids all day!!

JoAnn,

Sounds like a fun day. It's a little overcast here today and thunderstorms expected. Not really a beach day. But I have 13-14 people coming for dinner tonight so I really have to clean. I just find any excuse not to and then 1/2 hour before they arrive I go into panic mode.

I don't like to be that way but I'd rather do almost anything than clean.

Sandra

Oh my, I got a pirate and I wasn't even trying.

I hadn't been paying attention to the post # until after I posted and saw someone had started a count down.

Sandra

1 Too late!! Too funny, Harole Ann swoops in out of nowhere....................but this time................congrats to Sandra!!!:goodvibes

All this cleaning talk!! I HAVE TO CLEAN SOOOOOO MUCH but instead I took the girls to the beach...............next week, I'm ripping my house apart....................

I have a similar cleaning style to yours, BTW!!!:rotfl2:

I've been doing everything else but clean. I've made curtains for DD13 bedroom. painted woodwork, made dining room chair slipcovers, installed a new light in DD13 room, re wired all her electrical outlets and switches.

I even went to the store and bought meatballs already made and shells already stuffed. I've never done that before. I always cook from scratch but I really have to clean and I told myself that I could use the extra time saved from cooking to get the cleaning done and intead I'm happily typing away.

AS dd13 would say. "MM BAD"
