DH is home...the boys have been "spoken to" and they are now allowed out of their rooms

My wife (Perdie -on the boards) and I made a last minute booking for the July 28 Cruise as we are Americans living in London and since the price dropped so much we decided it was kind of a no brainer. We have never been on a Disney Cruise before in fact I made suprise reservations to take my wife on the Eastern Caribbean in Feb 2008 for her 30th birthday. Needless to say were excited about this trip and why we haven't had quite the countdown most have had on this thread we still can't wait to take our first Disney Cruise.

WELCOME!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

I've been doing everything else but clean. I've made curtains for DD13 bedroom. painted woodwork, made dining room chair slipcovers, installed a new light in DD13 room, re wired all her electrical outlets and switches.

I even went to the store and bought meatballs already made and shells already stuffed. I've never done that before. I always cook from scratch but I really have to clean and I told myself that I could use the extra time saved from cooking to get the cleaning done and intead I'm happily typing away.

AS dd13 would say. "MM BAD"

SHHHHHH Sandra, don't say this too loudly. DH might be listening and he doesn't realize that women can do all these things.:rotfl: :rotfl:
Welcome everyone

Your Vacation begins in 35 Days

Thanks for my daily smile, Andrew.
:dance3: :dance3:

Mary Jo,

We are in 8032 and 8034, not sure what my mom and sisters room numbers are - but they are also both in category 3 staterooms.

Pixie dust,

Susy

Morning, Andrew.... Pssst, Julie --- he was lamenting not being abused by you. You have a lot of ketchuping up to do!;)

Don't tell her that, it will not do my reputation any good to say I missed her!

OK, now I do have to figure out how to go back and "ketchup!" And I've been trying to load some vacation photos for you guys . . . maybe I'll have it done today.

It looks like about 60 DISers will be on our cruise, and we're bringing over 270 people! :woohoo:

Standard capacity is 2,400, ( 1750 at double occupancy) maximum is 3,000.

So we are close to 10% of the ship, if it isn't full, the percentage is higher!

Cool! :thumbsup2 Can't beat FREE and DELIVERY TOO! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Leslie, you must be my other twin. For some reason - I'm not a very good housekeeper either. But when I clean, I deep clean and that's what the kids hate. I even get on my hands and knees and 'mop' the floors in the bathroom. I have tiny ones except for my master so its not really all that. But I do have to clean the toilet, the caulking ring, the baseboard, the mirror, beat the rugs (which the kids find hilarious for some crazy reason) and wipe down the walls, etc. Once that is done, then I can sit down and feel as if I accomplished something! But I don't have the same attn to detail in the kitchen. That is too weird! :confused3

You are scaring me. You know - I supposedly have a 1/2 sister that was born late 60's - 71. I don't know her name as my dad died before i could ask.

I have white tile with tiny white grout lines in the kitchen. When I clean I break out the clorox pens and do the grout lines. Leave it overnight, then clean it up in the morning. Makes the grout look great. in fact, i think tonight I will be doing that as DH has told me he is working from now till July 15th. Of course, there's always more walls to paint...

Anyone else feeling like we're running out of time and there's too much left to do to prepare??????????????????????????:confused3

you too? Just dropped off our prescriptions from the DR today at target. He's going on vacation next week and doesn't get back until it's time for us to leave. Figured I better get stocked up before then.

I started gathering all the little things I want to bring and dumping them into the suit case to see how much room they take up. I'm always thinking of something more. Eventually I will make a list and sort it by priority. that way, I pack in order, and when the bag is full, whatever is left stays home.
HEY!!!! :yay: :woohoo: :yay:

I got a new tag and I absolutely  this one. :rotfl2:

Fits me to a tee - I haven't figured out when to leave well enough alone!:lmao:

Carrie - can I have this new one on my transfer/shirt?

This one just makes me :teeth: from :listen: to :listen:

I love it. Of course you can.

So - i had my friend who is an art major play with the quotes. What we decided was to take the image of mickey and center it, then wrap all the quotes around it. We have two ideas, either make them swirl around the circle, or just plain back and forth. The standard back and forth is easy. the swirl is hard to read, but looks cool. I need to set a deadline, perhaps first week of July. And then those will be the taglines I go with. With all the new tags, I am updating the list daily.

Also - Pirate or Mickey shape between each person? I thought about doing a multi pirate based on how many pirates you have gotten, but then I think Helen would have a whole line of just Pirates, then her name. :cool2:

I'll let Ethan know that there is hope for him to catch up he'll be so happy. We used to call him "little legs" until he realised that he was smaller than his peer group so now we just call him "legs". When he was born he was 1lb 10oz and was 7 inches long. He has just had a growing spurt. In my sig pic which was taken just last christmas he is wearnig age 6 pants, now he's wearing age 8 pants so he is slowly catching up.

My 9 year old was only 3 lbs and 5 ounces, he was born at 32-33 weeks too. He can wear a 10 with a belt, but really he barely fills an 8. We always pass down his brothers close to him if they are still in good shape. I also buy for both when I get new, usually matching outfits. So poor Garet has a lot of double clothes because he still hasn't outgrown his. We started going through his closet today to give away to church. i found size 4 and 5 that fit him.

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'm so mad right now       If you could see me you'd see the steam coming out of my ears

I won't bore you with all the details surfice it to say that right now both the kids are banished to their bedrooms and are not allowed to come out until their Father gets home. All this and I've only been home 5 mins !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had a night like this the other day and.......................apparently my family felt that I had "issues." They ended up with issues of their own before I was thru with them!! :scared: :rotfl2:

1 room down 5 to go and that's only if I skip the family room.

I just had to take a break as a reward for finishing one room.

I'm pathetic I know.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Only 34 days to go:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
Well done! I'm going to clean my whole house before we leave............it's about 2 years overdue..................:confused3

Welcome. I saw your wife Perdie post on another thread. I am so glad you came over to join us. There are two other lurkers out there. I am still on page 645 - so perhaps they did join us. Still catching up.

And if I get any pirates - by accident ;) - I am reply while on page 645 or something

I would like to add my welcome as well, seemed to have missed you-sorry on ketchup today!

JoAnn,

Sounds like a fun day. It's a little overcast here today and thunderstorms expected. Not really a beach day. But I have 13-14 people coming for dinner tonight so I really have to clean. I just find any excuse not to and then 1/2 hour before they arrive I go into panic mode.

I don't like to be that way but I'd rather do almost anything than clean.

Sandra

That was a pirate, yes?

Congratulations Sandra.

We booked for that Barcelona Segway tour on July 25 at 5pm, is anybody else from our cruise doing it?
