Just read on the "All in one place- Med Excursion thread" that if you are planning on visiting the beach in Sardinia, you might want to bring insect repellent. Someone did say that they were glad they did. A tidbit from one post said that Sardinians don't fish because of the volume of mosquitoes on the water. I wonder if we'll be affected? We're doing the Archepelago excursion. Better bring it just in case.

I just received an email from a tablemate on the cruise my youngest daughter and I just took a few weeks ago. They had taken a picture of us the last night and wanted to send it. You will eventually see that I do have two other daughters, but at least with this one you can see our faces, so I will post it:
Don't have time to ketchup right now. I just wanted to pop in and say that I am thinking of all our friends in the UK right now.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon. May the stars watch over you.
When are the two groups dining? I am faxing in a request for our group,
Sandra, I don't know where I found it, but it had to be on the DCL web site someplace because I have a printed sheet with arrival and departure times for each port.
Arrival-Palermo-7:00am
Arrival-Naples-8:00am
Arrival-Olbia-9:30am---interesting since our shore excursion begins at 9:15
Arrival-Rome-7:30am
Arrival-Florence/Pisa-7:30am
Arrival-Marseille-8:00am
Arrival-Nice(Villefranche)-8:30am
I printed this sheet quite some time ago and they may have updated it or just removed it. I have not looked for it recently.

I'll try to post one or two of each port. Here's La Rambla in Barcelona on 6/16/07:

Honestly, as much as DH & I want to be away from home, etc. it is sure nice to be able to stay in contact. My kids called from Scotland today and it was very nice to hear their voices and that they were OK. So even though cell phones are like an umbilical cord to home, it sure is nice to have.

I've been sneaking in a peak now & then this weekend. Hopefully, I can ketchup tomorrow, but I also wanted all of you across the Pond to know I'm thinking of you, too, & said a prayer for you at Mass this afternoon.
