WELL DONE DCL...........WHAT A FANTASTIC MESS

I can not do my online check in because DCL do not think anyone is flying in to Barcelona from anywhere other than the U.S so therefore there is only U.S airports listed. Not even an "other" to select.

Also I can't put in the hotel we are staying in after the cruise because all the hotels anyone can stay in after a DCL cruise have to be in a U.S state and surprise, surpise my hotel in Barcelona doesn't have a state in the address.

Izzi, I don't think that information is crucial to the onsite checkin . . . I think they like to have that information but if it is not correct and all the personal information, credit card, passport, etc., etc., is correct your online checkin will go through with no problems. It is pretty silly of SCL not to have adjusted those drop downs for these cruises, though.

We r lucky in a way that it happened now and that hopefully things can get back to norm in 3 weeks.

Dave actually thinks its him and hes jinxed. I'll explain why.

He had a business meeting in ireland - when he got back home it was the day they broke the goodfriday ceasefire.

He had a meeting in London last yeat 6th July -7th was the transport bombs

Last year we were coming home from WDW on the Thursday 10th Aug when we got to Sanford we were told the country was on red alert as it was the actual day of the liquid scare - we were at Sanford 9 hours before flying.

He also went Diving in Thailand a month before the tusarmi (sp) ALTHOUGH THAT WAS A NATURAL AND DOSEN'T REALLY COUNT

You will be, Anna. We are entering into the more stressful time of trip planning when everything is no longer an abstraction and we actually have to be sure we have all the pieces in place, but we do it -- and you will be so happy you did all this once you are in Barcelona.

I've managed to do the "Payment Authorization" form but they still want the "Guest Information" form completed and submitted by 26th July and you can't submit it if the boxes are not completed properly.

I'm going to give DCL a call later and see if anything can be done. I'm assuming that they've had this problem before as this is not the 1st Med cruise us Europeans are on

OK Sallie I know these hats are no way near as cooooooooool as yours but these are the ones I'm going to get the boys for our cruise.

They are Disboard green and very bright so I should be able to spot them when we're out and about

Once you've filled out ALL 3 forms you then have to print out and sign the contract. The contract is a PDF that only becomes available to you once you filled out and submitted all the other forms. All passengers must sign the contract and this has to be handed in at the Barcelona port.

I can't print my contract because I can't fill out the forms because I don't "fit" what DCL assumes everybody is doing. More short sightedness from DCL assuming all cruisers come from the U.S

I advised DCL through DREAMS and they put it all on. Yes DCL forgets about UK, but contact T/A or DCL direct say E.mail and it will go on.

As I recall, there was one page that you had to print and others that you could if you wanted to. Once it is all complete, the info shows up on the screens whenever you log in. Previously, they only had US airports that you could leave from, they did fix that part - definitely some kinks going on in the system, so frustrating when you are ready to do your registrations

As before, contact your T/A or DCL direct by e.mail DREAMS arranged for mine to be put on and it shows all my BA flights from Gatwick, and also my pre cruise hotel which is not sponsored by DCL.

If I use the "contact us" email I'm wondering how long it will be before they do contact me. It may well be quicker to make the phone call amd then at least I know that's one thing crossed off my list of "to do" things.

I have found them very quick, on weekdays at least within 24 hours. No phone cost!
