July 28, 2007 - "Rome-ancing the Mouse Cruisers" -11 days! Part 3

I was just teasing anyway - I'm always psyched when there is a post from DanfromCA - great writer! (and no, DH doesn't know)

Well, it's only 8:00 here, but it's 10:00 in Maryland, and that's where I was born - so, I'm going to bed. I got 3 1/2 hrs of sleep Fri nite and then the exhausting weekend - so, who cares if I go to bed before all of my kids, right? I'm entitled to this.

HEE HEE HEE - I just googled Manhole cover and I got World's largest Manhole Cover in China! If I could link it I would- I think that would be able to fit at least a few of us onboard!

Maybe that could be your door decoration?? Do you think it would win the contest?

Did it take long? We just got our room number this week and I was thinking of starting the on line registration. It's one of those things that I'm afraid I will forget to do.

I cleaned the house last week, lots of company on Firday. If anyone makes a mess between now and the cruise they are in big trouble.
Fabric for the fish extender is next to the sewing machine. I'm hoping the sewing fairy will whip it up while I'm sleeping.
Toilet paper is available pre rolled at Walmart or we can use the order form Andrew found for us. so TP is not an issue anymore.
So many other projects to do before we leave in 32 days

Have your passports, credit card, airline reservations all in front of you when you sit down to do the online registration. It took me about 20-25 minutes to do it all.
You guys have to remember I live on a TINY island in the Caribbean....beautiful and peaceful...but NO Walmart..which is too bad.

It's 10:13 here and DH is already in bed. I'm waiting for DD13 to finish watching her movie so I can go to bed. She's watching the Lizzie McGuire Movie where she's in Italy. So DD13 keeps asking if we are going there whenever they show a different part of Rome.

Hey all - on a dark note - walked into mom's house today - DD wanted to spend some time with her. Usually my mom comes out running to greet us - well all 4'11" of her that is - today she didn't she sent dad to intercept me.

Finally figured out why. DS was in the living room and they were trying to delay me so he can make an escape.

Just wondering JoAnn, they do become sensible again right?

Someday, when he becomes sensible again, we'll talk again, I'm sure.

In the meantime, I have to admit - It hurt but such is life right?

BTW, had to leave when I found that out least they see my tears. I have an image to uphold anyway, according to my mom, I'm the strong one.

So I have been repeating that over and over for the last 3 hours.

Wonder if I should put on Gloria Gaynor's I will Survive!

Laura, I'm sorry to hear about your situation today. DS15 has been at his father's this weekend and won't answer the phone or return my calls. I haven't heard from him since Thursday when I dropped him off. It hurts to have him cut me off or to have my family ask why he's not here to visit relatives from out of town. But I have to put up a good front and not let anyone see that bothers me. Gloria Gaynor is sounding pretty good right about now.

I hear you on the teen age years. I have a 17 year old who is just starting to be somewhat tolerable....I did not enjoy last year with him...ugh

We also watched Under the Tuscan Sun. Or at least started it yesterday. We are getting so excited about this trip it's fun to see where we will be going.

We are doing the Wine tasting and Sarzana excurison through DCL and watching the movie shows a lot of the area we will be driving through. We just couldn't sit on a bus for 2 1/2 hours each way to see Florence.
