Ok here's a question? How many of us have started to pack?

I just thought - uh oh! Maybe I should start. These suitcases I bought today really put things into perspective for me.

Not yet... school still going- I cant do anything until it ends- but I decided to do nothing the first week, then begin shopping and list making for the packing- I always keep the cosmetic/bathroom sundries bag replenished ands ready to go, so at least that part is 80% done.. The clothes part always scares me.. I am a "just in case" packer-

SHHHHHHH. Don't tell Sallie. It might give her an idea. She had this thing about flashing and removing clothing.............

Sandra, you reminded me to post some scrapbook pages- as soon as school gets out. Did you see on one of the live posts that they had a crop??? I want to try that one again to see how they did it- maybe we work on one common page just about this thread on one of sea days??? There are a few of us who scrap.

Do you mean they actually did scrapbooking on the trip. DH would have a heart attack if he saw Scrapbooking stuff in my suitcases.

It's a great idea though. May be we could somehow do it digitally. I haven't done too much that way but we are bringing a lap top and I could load on my scrapbooking software. If we did 8 1/2 x 11 pages we could post them for any one to print if they wanted to when they get back.

Someone asked about packing!!

DH packed last weekend all but the formal stuff. Well this morning DD is looking for the battery charger for her camera, today is the last day of school and we're having a picnic. Well we couldn't find it so I told her to call dad. It's packed already.

Yes-!! They actually had a crop - it looked like a LOT of people too- It also looked like they had a private room or something- I will try to find that post and pic when I have my break today... I know- my DH will FINALLY have me committed - and he might win this time!

I was having a nice dream about the cruise (been happening a lot lately) and woke up at 4am -- My first thought -- Gee, I'd better get caught up on the thread! . So, I'm listening to the DIS Anniversary podcast and trying to catch up. (I'm on page 516 now)... I'll be falling asleep at work this afternoon. lol

Um, no, but my mind is geared to what I need to take. I've already started to buy outfits for Kelly (I'll worry about me later).

Thats about 10% of cruisers.

Tracy was interviewed on the DIS Podcast, and she said that they acknowledged the DIS on the cruise and there was loud applause. That would be so cool if that happened on our cruise.

Okay, off to read more.

I haven't really begun packing yet, but I've started to pile a few things in the corner of our bedroom that I've been buying for the cruise. Once school ends, I'll get a little more organized. If I pack too early, I forget if I packed certain things and wind up unpacking and repacking. Just when I think I'm finished, DH gets involved and repacks again (he has great packing skills and can fit everything easily while I take up much more room). So, I've learned to be patient and just pile.

Hi all - we are looking forward to joining the Med cruise on July 28th.

Brief introduction:
Our names are Mark & Heidi Smithson and we hail from the northern burbs of Chicago. Our daughters (7 & 9) will be with us. We booked this trip about a year ago. We have a cat 8 room on deck 5 (5516), right near the relevant kids' clubs. This is the 2nd sailing on the Magic for the 4 of us. Our 1st trip was during Christmas 2005 (a last-minute decision, when our planned vacation to a resort in Mexico was disrupted by hurricane damage). We had a wonderful experience on our cruise, vowing to return.

Pre-trip, we'll be spending a few nights in Seville, Spain (visiting Heidi's host family from when she studied there during college), then a night in Barcelona. Post-trip, we're spending a night in London.

We're in the process of planning non-Disney excursions. It's quite an undertaking. Fortunately, the wealth of knowledge on this board makes it easier. So thank you!

I need to do a bit of ketchup as I wasn't around last night. I actually went out to the PUB with a crowd of mum's from Josuas class. We were celebrating their school journey and just gossiping. Believe it or not this is actually the 1st time I've been able to get to go out with them in the 7 years I've know them !!!!!

I love going out with the moms. I have a group of softball moms - we go out once a month. Not everyone can make it all the time, but it's fun.

... and they're sharing a drink they call lonliness, but it's better than drinking alone...

Which suburb? I grew up in Palatine and my husband grew up in Lake Bluff. He went to high school in Lake Forest.
