FOR BRITS,

You can vote in the British travel awards, it covers many different things from UK holidays and travel agents, city break holidays, long distance, airlines, hotel's on-line booking, WDW and Universal.

There is a cruise section as well, please consider voting for DISNEY CRUISE LINE, if you have enjoyed your cruise, you will have to select OTHER and type in Disney cruise line. Lets get them noticed! They are far better than other cruise lines.

Also there are prizes of holidays etc, so you might win something,

Andrew,

If I talk with a British accent, tell them I have "bangers and mash" for breakfast and "toads in the hole" for lunch, do you think they'll let me enter the contest????:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

If you can pull off the accent and the obscure food references and make them THINK you're a Brit, I'll give you a prize!!!!!!!!

For breakfast today I had hash browns and for lunch, 'a New York burger' at McDonald's! Last time I had toad in the hole was when I lived with my parents!

My brother and sister-in-law had a beautiful baby boy last night at 11:45 pm. He wieghed 6 lbs. 3 oz. His name is Dylan Santo ( my dad's name was Santo). He was born with a cleft palate and cleft lip. He'll be having surgery in the next few weeks and more down the road but once it's all completed he'll be fine. I can't wait until he's home and I can hold him!

Congratulations Auntie!!!!!!

Today that type of surgery is pretty routine so he will be fine. We'll pray that everything will go well. Please give them our congratulations!

Congratulations, Aunt Wendy and to the entire family! I am sure everyone is so thrilled. What a wonderful name.

Wendy, Congratulations on the new nephew!!! How wonderful they honored your Dad by naming the baby after him.

Harole Ann, please keep us in mind as you plan for 2009. We'd love to go cruising with the group again. Like MaryAnn, the end of July or first of August works best.

JoAnn, The Wonder is nice but it is way toooooooo short. We did a 4 day in Feb. 06 and felt like we were being thrown off the ship before we were ready. We live near Boston so the airfare is outrageous and it's not really worth paying that much money for flights for only 4 days on board.

I'm really disappointed in the Disboard group for our 2/08 cruise. One person dominates the thread and all they do is brag about the fact they live in Celebration, FL and go to WDW etc... every day. Once someone comes on and reads one or two of his posts they leave and don't come back. I know we'll probably never have a group like we did in theMED but I was hoping for something better than this.

We are excited though about the cruise. I've almost slipped so many times. I don't know if I'll make it to Christmas without blowing the surprise. Since the cruise is the majority of their gift it would be a real bummer if they found out early.

Well, I hope everyone is doing well, we also talk about the cruise and the people we met just about every day. I still don't have much done on my scrapbook but Gerry has put together a short DVD as a thankyou to our friends who sent us on the cruise. It came out nice. Now we just have to do one for us. Then I wouldn't feel so guilty for not having the scrapbook done and not keeping up with the blog. There is never enough time.

Of course I have a lot more time now that I'm not on the Disboards every day.

:dance3: :dance3: Congrats to Wendy and family..............

Sorry Brits............LET'S TALK BASEBALL................THE PHILLIES ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS!!Our first division win in too many years.........what an exciting weekend of baseball.............:dance3: :dance3:

i started working on my scrapbook. it is turning out great. i bought a lot of colored paper so I don't have to worry about borders around my pictures. I'll have to take a couple of pictures and post some of the pages. the one thing i've been slack on is journaling. my plan is to put all of my pictures in, then go back and write something down.

If you want a real New York burger, don't go to McDonald's!!!!!! The next time you are in New York, go to Shake Shack in Madison Square Park or go to the Burger Joint in the Parker Meridian . . .

Congrats to you and all your family, Wendy! Don't worry about the surgery -- it will heal up so quickly that one day no one will even think about him having had it . . .

Hi Sandra -- don't worry about the group for your Feb cruise . . . you will have a great time regardless. I am booked for the 2008 NYE cruise and haven't joined in on that thread at all. The more threads we experience, the more we appreciate how special this one was.

I agree Julie. We had a special group.

Maryann is right about the group on the board, Sandra! There is no doubt we had something special, but your February cruise will be so special for you and Gerry to have the children with you!

I can only imagine how difficult it must be not saying something about it! I know Garry would have "spilled the beans" by now!:lmao:

:thumbsup2 :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Anyone else still obsessed with last summer's cruise!! I keep talking about it to anyone's who's been to Italy! Hope all are well!!:goodvibes

How could we not be obsessed with it?????? I keep working on a big photobook on Shutterfly, and every time I get back to working on it all those memories come back. What a trip!

I know that I am absolutely obsessed with it (good word JoAnn). I even loaded my scenic pics to my homeroom school computer and put one up as a background to my "Good Morning" slide to welcome my homeroom each day. As I flip through the pics to decide which one to choose, I get nostalgic. :cloud9:
