Hi Harole Ann -

Thanks for asking and thinking of me (and everyone).

My dh went in on Tuesday the fourth and came home that Friday. We went to the cardio. He told him he needs to take it easy for now and had two tests done (ekg and the sonogram (?) to check the vein on the neck - sorry can't remember the medical term for this- and it was good.

He is scheduled for blood work and a stress test October 1st. We will see how that turns out to see if he can go back to work, when and what kind of work. He told him again that he is lucky to be alive and now he must change is lifestyle (eating habits - low salt, low-fat, you know the diet that we should all be on ). He looks good and feels very good so he must remember not to do heavy lifting and excessive walking/excercise for now.

He is already bored and I don't think he could stay home if he had to.

I know Wendy is also waiting to see if DCL has any new itineraries for 09. My sil and I had discussed before the med. cruise that we were going to put in for a search in Cancun for July 09. We are both dvc members and have started the search. We will wait til 9/08 and if nothing, will cancel and make other plans.

I hope someday some of will run into each other on another cruise or an Advenuture by Disney vacation.

Hi Everyone,

Things are going ok here. My mom has her good days and bad days as we all do. This past week has been difficult. My Mom's birhtday was the 16th and my parent's anniversary was the 18th.(It would've have been 53 years). I have to say I'm glad this week is over.

Now for some good news- My brother and his wife are expecting thier first baby Sept. 29th. It 's a boy and we can't wait until he arrives!
My nephew ( a graduate of West Point who has served in Iraq) and his wife just received approval to adopt a 5 year old boy from Viet Nam. We've seen pictures and he is adorable! We hope the adoption wiull be final by Christmas.

We're going to WDW for the Food & Wine Festival Oct31- Nov.4. My sister and her family are going and so is my mom. I think this
will be good for her.

I know I've missed so much on this thread the last few weeks so I aplogise if I've missed any congratulations, birthday wishes,etc. I'll never be able to catch up.

We just had a phone call this evening from DCL because we had put in for travel for 2009. They wanted to know if we cared where the ship was going and I said it did not matter. The lady who called said they should know as early as December. They may not have anything different to offer for 2009. I guess we will have to wait, she said if there was anything different she would call me. I am just happy to be on board! I have never been disappointed!

Maryann--the room we have for 2008 is the same room you had for this past summer and we had last March!

Garry just surprised me with a trip to WDW for our anniversary! We are leaving December 4 and returning December 11. He found really great air fare and DVC had rooms at Yacht Club for 4 nights and Saratoga Springs for 3 nights. Beach Club is our favorite so I know we will be happy at the Yacht Club and I always like something different so it will be fun to try out Saratoga Springs. I love that time of year in the parks.

Is anyone else going to be at WDW December 4 thru 11?

Have a good transition from summer to fall. Just hope it does not go too fast! I don't want cold weather!

Well, one thing for sure when you look at the price you think it is nearly free by comparison! ! That is what we thought when we booked the November cruise for 2008! Of course it is 7 days compared to 11 days for starters!

Hey Harole Ann........thx for the updates, I noticed how much cheaper it will be to go to Mexico next summer........we're still on the fence right now.......two of my DD will be in Europe next summer, so I may switch gears and go to Europe while they're there and then go DCL in 2009 and enjoy the Caribbean.

I guess we have to call my TA and get the booking when it's announced in December!

The boys finished baseball while we were on the cruise. They are now in full swing of football. Chad's team is not doing too well, but Nathan's 8th grade team is having an excellent season. Chad said "Life does not get any better than being the starting quarterback and your girlfriend is the cheerleader!" What a life to be in 4th grade!!

We'd love a new itinierary for 09 but will happily go to the Carribbean. We did the Western and will probably do the Eastern if that's where the Magic will be. We'll be in Yellowstone with Adventures by Disney next summer so we'll be looking to go south in 09. But if Disney wants to surprise us with a new itinerary, we're game!!!!

Good to hear from you, Julie! It would be so nice to cruise with you and those lovely girls again. How are they doing? We are so looking forward to the cruise next November just to relax on a cruise. We loved this past summer and knew it would be hectic; however, we did pace ourselves pretty well. I don't think there was anything we would have changed. There is hardly a day goes by that we don't mention something about it or think of someone we met. It was just the most incredible vacation anyone could ever have. I don't think anything could top this!

Thanks for the comments on the boys! We think they are the greatest, but we are a little prejudice!
I don't know why Disney people I have talked to seem to think there will be no big cruise for 2009. There is usually a leak before the big announcement comes out.

DH would prefer to cruise Mid July as many of his staff go to Greece for a few weeks and tend to go the end of July beginning of Aug. However, if our Brit friends can only cruise toward the end of July after their school year ends, I'm sure he can be swayed to go the same time we did the Med.

Our vacay time is dependent upon our girls' schedules so, we never know.......I just miss CC, so I'm hoping to get back there soon!!!

We've sailed Eastern once and Western 3x, either itinerary is fantastic!!! We also have vacationed on St. Thomas a few times (eastern itinerary) and it is really beautiful!!

The boys are adorable HA, but I'm a little nervous about the 4th grade couple....... (I teach 4th grade!!)

Hi Harole Ann, we are fine -- looking forward to our Panama Canal repo cruise next August, but it's never too soon to start thinking about 2009! We are usually fairly flexible on dates provided we plan enough ahead of time and travel between mid-June and Labor day . . . I really do hope they do a special itinerary in summer 2009, but I wouldn't want to miss a summer's cruise on the Magic even if it was back to the Caribbean. It will be fun to see the flurry of activity once they announce what they are doing! Hopefully at least some of us will end up together again.

I am also looking forward to the Panama cruise in 2008, i do not think we will see any release of special cruises until end of January at the earliest, the standard Wonder and Magic cruises January to April might be out soon.
