Enjoy Sandra!!! You don't want to take me along. Every time I go tent camping it rains. We've given up on it. That's not such a bad thing. Now we stay in a hotel!!!!!:rotfl2:

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Heellllooo Everyone!

I'm Back - well sort of! I am off the Magic and am sitting in a 1 bedroom villa in Old Key West. DH is sawing away in the bedroom and DD Megan and I are catching up. April is sleeping away.

LOTS AND LOTS TO DIS about especially about how certain people were treated but that's for another time. Right now, I am debating on going to sleep or taking and car and exploring.

Let me clarify - DH and the girls went home and flew on a red-eye last night to FL. I went on the repo with Pam and Christie and her dear DH - Ken - had a blast caught up with Julie and her girls got some awesome shots of her.

I will dish later on my blog about certain escapades and I promise to name names if I can but remember - this is my blog and so what I say is what I felt at the time. I have lots to update - didn't do it on the ship as the bandwidth was tooooooooo slllloooooowwwwwww.

So - later on I promise to post lots and lots of pictures. For now, I think I may go exploring with Megan.

Later everyone!

Welcome ''home''

Thanks for the welcome Andrew - I had decided to go shopping (as if I really needd too) :lmao: but Megan just rolled over and went back to sleep. Guess I'd better take a nap huh?

The weather was FANTASTIC and coupled with the price of the cruise- I made out like a bandit!

Now if I could only remember how to type and post icons. Amazing how after 2 weeks off you forget certain things.

I'm sure that I will be posting repeat pictures and if I get time I will go back and look but I'm sure you'll all tell me if you have seen some of them. However, I can post some of the Gibralter and Cadiz ones if I get too them.

Later -

Welcome home Laura. Can't wait to see your pics!!!

Laura, I am so glad that they weather was so nice. I was reading about it on the "Bringing the Magic Home" thread...I thought of you. I bet you are glad to be back in the USA though. As wonderful as the trip was, I was glad to be home!!

I guess I will see you in May!!

Hey Lisa - went to check in the May thread but somehow lost the post. Your right - I am glad to be back on American soil. Nothing against any of the countries I went too but it sure is nice not to have to worry about the correct adaptor and all.

I will check in again on the May one later - did you all catch the Cruise board where they said all the PC cruises are sold out? I'm not sure where I have posted this already so bear with me if its been repeated on here.

Oh yeah -did I mention my art participation? I got a wee bit carried away. :rotfl2: But as I told my DH - you should have taken me on the inaugural West Coast 7 day. ROTFL.

Lisa - was glad to see a picture of your DD in the pool that is how I came to suspect that you did make after all. Hope all went well. Did I miss anything major? Let me know. Wanted to post this while you were still on hopefully - this single processor is for the birds.

BTW, it just now stopped thundering and raining - while I hear they needed it - I'm hungry and didn't want to step out in the HARD rain. :wave2:

glad that you are back laura. i can't wait to see your pics.

Looks like you already found a place, but we stayed at the Hyatt at the airport several times---got good prices on line and could use Disney transportation to port. I really admire how you and Gerry can keep a secret! I think I would explode before Christmas!:rotfl2: I am excited for you!

JoAnn--have a great school year! Your summer memories will keep a smile on your face all year long!

Jeanne--Hope you feel better and can enjoy the long weekend. I hope everyone is having our weather. It is absolutely beautiful with high 70's, clear skies and a breeze---it almost makes me think I am on vacation---if I close my eyes!

That's why I told you---take a vacation in November, 2008!!!

Sorry you have not been feeling well, Mary Jo, but glad you are better now! It was so much fun meeting everyone and I don't think there was anyone who did not want to see Nick to be sure he really got there!

:yay: :yay:  HAPPY HOLIDAY WEEKEND TO EVERYONE!!!:yay: :yay:
TY, Harole Ann.............I AM STILL SMILING...........I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK..........DCL IN THE MED 2009........................:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I guess everyone is enjoying their last weekend of summer!!!:cool1:

Hi all -- we've got relatives visiting from El Paso, Texas, this weekend. My brother took him out on his boat yesterday & they went fishing by Catalina. Didn't catch any fish, but they said that they saw this 'wall' of dolphins. They said that there were literally hundreds & hundreds of dolphins and they were soon driving amongst them & the dolphins were swimming alongside the boat & jumping in the air. How cool is that!

Hi Guys,
Hope you are all ok.

Well its 6am here and I'm up because I am going back to work today. :sad2: We have a 8 am staff meeting  I'm normally still in bed @ 8am!

I am worse than the kids - I really dont wantto go to school!

I am always the same first thing after a hol, but this year the hol was soooo amazing!!!

Oh well at least I can spend the morning break, making everyone jealous, when I tell them about my hols:rolleyes1

Got to rush!

Hope you had a good first day. All our students will be back tomorrow so it is our first day with everyone in the building. You are right, though, the memories of our cruise really have put a spring in my step this year!

My boss keeps telling me I look so refreshed. I told her everyone should take a month of for vacation. She said managers can't do that.... guess I'll never be a manager then. ;)

I know how you feel, it took me forever to update my blog, but I finally stayed up really late and did it.............Happy Labor Day!!!:goodvibes

Good for you. I keep talking about it, but I guess it's time to put pen to paper... or rather, finger to keyboard & just do it before I forget everything! I think I'll do some trip report reading tonight. :)

Hi, we booked out hotel for Orlando next Feb. We'll be staying at the Airport Wingate. It gets great reviews. We don't arrive until after 9 pm so we didn't want to have a long drive. Also, we may go to WDW for the day on Friday

Our airfare is booked so all we need is tansportation and we're done.:cool1:

WE are off to NH for a camping (in a tent:eek: )with our church. Over 100 of us are going to be there. Camping is not my favorite activity but it's the only way to go.

I hope everyone has a great Labor Day Weekend.

Sandra

Labor Day weekend has been HOT here! Disneyland was a 104/106 degrees fahrenheit yesterday (40 degrees C). It's been in the 90's where I live. My cousins went to Redondo Beach Pier last night at midnight & they said there were more people there than during the day. It was in the 80s.

I love camping! We usually go to Sequoia/Yosemite every year when we can, and tent-camp there. I'm getting a hankerin'... lol

I hope your trip was fun, Sandra.

Thanks so much, Harole Ann. We were glad Nick's passport came in, too. He loves to tell people that these "Internet" friends were coming up to him and telling him they were glad to see him (I had kind of forgotten to tell him that I had been discussing my concerns with you guys), but when he talks about it he has a huge smile. I know he liked it.

So, thanks everyone, for making my kids feel special, too. :)

Heellllooo Everyone!

Later everyone!

I read some of the repo thread, and man, what a shame that some people were rude. I mean, I can understand that people want to be with their own families, and that is perfectly fine (it happened on our cruise & that was fine - there were no issues), but there is never a call to be rude to anyone. I won't say anymore because I wasn't there, but I am so glad that I was able to go on the July 28 cruise where there were some really fantastic people, and the kids & I have some memories we'll treasure forever.

Laura, I am so glad that they weather was so nice. I was reading about it on the "Bringing the Magic Home" thread...I thought of you. I bet you are glad to be back in the USA though. As wonderful as the trip was, I was glad to be home!!

You know, even though we were gone for about a month, I could have been gone for longer. It was so much fun for us.

i'm so jealous of you teachers. i think this has been the first time in six years that i actually took a real summer vacation. i also forgot what it feels like. i usually take a week off in the fall to go on a cruise and a week in january to go to wdw. man, i wish i had tought about being a teacher when i think about the vacation time.

I'm seriously thinking of a part-time job teaching when I "retire" from my job. I know it is a lot of work, but the time off is wonderful.

Great new, MJ! GL with your college students!

I can't believe that month flew by so fast! (Time went very slow prior to the cruise!) I was reading another trip report and those who booked our excursion in Sicily thru DCL didn't have the fun (or time) that we enjoyed.......thx again to Lynn!

I'm obsessed with Italy right now, I'm thinking about postponing our next DCL until 2009 and going back to Italy next summer......we'll see!

I agree, JoAnne. It was fantastic. And, thanks to Lynn for our excursion in Sicily. We really enjoyed it.

A month ago we were all enjoying a day at sea. Nick is also obsessed with Italy. We'd all like to go back again. ::::: sigh :::::

So, how're the rest of you doing?

Hi Everyone,
We are back from our camping trip and for the 1st time in my life we camped and it didn't rain, not even a drop. :cool1: We had a nice and relaxing time.

Harole Ann, thanks for the suggestion we have already booked a hotel and I think it will be fine.

I have a staff meeting tomorrow morning at 9 and then start school on Thursday, Sept 6th. It's hard to believe vacation is over. But it was the best summer vacation ever!!!!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend and is home safe and sound.

Sandra
