When does Disney usually put out the itinerary for the the upcoming cruises??? When do you think they will advertise the 2009 cruise itineraries?>????

When we cruise the last week of March, 2006 they had just announced the Mediterran Cruise the week before. They were not taking reservations until the Monday after we returned and would not take reservations on the ship that week. We filled out our request on the ship for the on board reservation for the Mediterranean Cruise to get the on board discounts, etc. so they called us to book the first day they would take bookings which was the day after we returned....March 31, 2006...so if you could us that for a time frame for 2009 dates we might have to wait for spring!:scared1:

The Panama's and Mexico's had an earlier release date of January 31st this year, so my guess will be January 2008 for 2009.

PALERMO

Erice

After visiting Segesta we all visited a medieval town called Erice. It is up a mountainside, and we elected (if I remember correctly, it was by unanimous vote, except for Bill & Alice, who decided to take the bus) to the little town.

This was such an enjoyable day for us, especially sharing it with Lynn, JoAnn, and their families -- just wonderful.

Our Naples adventures were shared with Izzy & her family (Paul, Josh, & Ethan), and Brian and his family (Angie, Megan, & Madeleine). We had an excellent trip, with our driver Aarone & our guide at Pompeii, Veronica.

Those are really nice, Andrew. These pictures really don't do justice to the beauty of the Med, but they help us remember incredible days with fantastic people. :)

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to thank all of you for your thoughts, prayers, and condolences during this very difficult time for our family. My dad's death came as a shock as we believed he was on the road to recovery and would be back in the States in a few days.According to our dr. who read some of the medical reports, his injuries were more severe than we realized. My dad died doing what he loved- cruisung with his family and Disney. He was a very special person.

My son's wedding will go on as scheduled. It was what my dad would have wanted. It was a difficult decision for us to make. I'm hoping to leave for Fla. tomorrow or Tuesday.

My dad's body is still in Italy. We've been told it could be here tomorrow or Tuesday. My mom has decided to have the funeral after my son's wedding. Emotionally this will be difficult but it's what she wants.

As of now the wake will be Aug. 29 and the funeral will be Aug. 30.Plans should be finalized in the next couple of days.

We plan on leaving tomorow afternoon or Tuesday for my son's wedding. It will be bittersweet.

This disboard "ROMEancing the Mouse" family is a great comfort to me during this very difficult time. It means more to me than you'll ever know to read your posts and smile. Thank-you again.

I wish you and your son all the best for the Wedding, and I am sorry again for the loss of your father, all the best.

I wonder of the Magic is going to run into any hurricanes on the way back:eek:

At the moment the storms are going further away towards Mexico via Cozumel and Cayman, the issue will be if they get too much damage for the Magic to call into them when it returns.

Hi Wendy,

The kids & I read about your dad with shock and sadness. We followed along whenever we could get news about him, and were hoping for the best for your family.

Thank you for taking some time to let us know what is going on with your family. You do have our deepest condolences. :grouphug:

I wonder of the Magic is going to run into any hurricanes on the way back:eek:

My understanding is that the Magic will be able to stay away from the hurricanes, but I wonder what kind of ports it will have to go to in case there are hurricanes.

Two DISers, I think Karen & Mary, went on the outbound trans Atlantic cruise, and are bringing the Magic home. They & Laura will have stories to tell us, I'm sure.

Hi Everyone,

Can't remember who was staying on the Magic for the 11 N., 10N. and translantic. Was it Laura?

Wendy - glad to see you posting.

My brother and his family are on the Wonder today - I hope they don't have rough seas (I know the path is not directly their way).

I am enjoying all the wonderful pictures posted MaryJo.

I agree, I LOVED THIS EXCURSION, ESPECIALLY ERICI!! Overall, Italy was a jewel of a country!!! I can't wait to go back!! DCL in 2009???

How's the jetlag?? It seems like you had a really nice time w/ your kids as well!!!:goodvibes :thumbsup2

Unfortunately over this weekend we've had to cancel our April 2009 cruise due to a HUGE party we've now got to make in 2009.

Ok long story short. As we're Jewish both boys are going to be barmitzvahed. We had hoped that as there are only 22 months between them that they could both do it together however we've been advised that this would not be a good thing and so we've now got TWO barmitzvahs to do and the first one will be Joshua's in June/July 2009 so our reunion cruise is just not financially possible.

I hope loads of you can make it and you have one or two coffees in the Quiet Cove and think about us.
