She had very very long blonde hair, like Alice in Wonderland, but just cut off 12 inches to donate to locks of love. She looks so grownup with her short hair! Looking forward to all the kids meeting and becoming friends.

THe shopping is complete.

At least everything on the list has been purchased, for sure there will be other things come up but at least for now it's done.

WE are going to dress up even if the semiformal nights have been cancelled. We just really enjoy getting dressed up for each other. And remember we don't have kids coming so we actually have some privacy on this cruise.

So I can start packing everything except the clothes. But it seems so early, I feel like I must be missing something.

Anyway,
I have to get ready for DH's oldest son and his wife who are coming to celebrate DH's birthday. The Bday was yesterday. It's kind of weird that his birthday is exactly 2 weeks before we leave and mine is exactly 2 weeks after we get back. Of course he's much older.

Well, I just got back from a private audience with the pope!!!!! I wanted to explain my hot flashes and my deep concern about the high temperatures in Rome. I asked for special dispensation concerning the use of his beautiful fountains. He was very sympathetic and quite friendly. He couldn't believe how red my face got and the amount of steam pouring through my clothing during one of my flashes. Sooooooo... He granted me a special dispensation- and I now I CAN-COOL OFF IN THE FOUNTAINS WITHOUT GETTING ARRESTED!!!!!!
And guess what?????? He loved my propellor hat so much that he sent his pope shopper out to get him and his whole entourage one !!!!
Wait.. Im not done..... the best part was when he asked if I would like to go for a ride in his POPE mobile!!!!!!!! I thought I would faint!!! I quickly said 10 Hail Mary's, 5 Our Fathers and a quick Glory be!!!!!!
I didn't think any of you would believe me... so here is a picture me and my Pope !!!!!!! What a great guy!!!!!

I needed to post this picture mostly for Andrew, because I know he was concerned about touring with me and my need to either rip my clothes off, or find a fountain to cool off in. I know he didn't want his children to witness this, and he didn't want to spend his vacation helping Jimmy bail me out of jail.. soooo, I made the supreme sacrifice of traveling all the way to Rome just for him!!!!!

God loves me!!! He waits everyday for me to get up to see what kind trouble he must get me out of- he says it keeps him young!!!! We talk everyday!!!!!

No, No !! Never- ever wish for a hot flash!!! They are horrible !!! Pray you never get them !!! But- yes- if you do I will be there with my propeller spinning in your direction!!!
