Happy Birthday Laura :cool1: :cool1: and congratulations on the iphone.

Andrew - I hope you feel better soon. I have not felt like myself since coming back from WDW. I also always get like this when coming back.

No documents here yet.

Ordered a few more euros today. The bank told me if I have any euros left to exchange them back at the airport (I need to ask which airport when I pick up the euors - here or in Spain). She also suggested using the debit card.

Went to the Post Office to mail to Italy a few packages of pancacke mix, 2 boxes of Goya Yellow Rice and two bottles of Bulls Eye barbecuse Sauce. It used to be a lot cheaper when it went there by boat. Now only air. I could have bought an extra luggage or even paid for extra weight for what I paid. I won't even tell my dh.

Need to activate my Disney Reward card - I think I will do that as soon as I get off.

My middle son is done w/clothes shopping and just received his zip-off pants.

Well :snooty: I figured it would be better than saying I farted! :lmao:

(Which BTW, I didn't - I took a shower that day - I promise!) :teeth:

OK on to ketchup!

You just gave me a laugh after a terrible day, I was in and out of this thread for a quick ketchup this morning, went to the train for London two canceled, then a packed train, then an awful meeting when you feel you are in the wrong job.

Then back to train station and the first few trains didn't stop, no announcement thought the drivers were just having a bad day, then trains canceled and then after 10 mins or so staff/police tell everyone to leave a security alter for a bomb.

Outside train station for an hour then after re starting service went back.

Anyway made me laugh thank you

Hey everyone, love you all. Thanks to all those that volunteered to give up one of their lanyards. I believe we are covered since I'm short only one lanyard. Sorry for the mess up and panic. I'm totally willing to give up my lanyard but it sounds like some of you have one that no one will miss. I just hate taking away from someone. I didn't think hubby would give a snoot about a lanyard but I ordered him one anyway and when he saw it, he snatched it. Sounds like one person ordered extras, so I might go with that person if they truly don't mind. Thanks for all the generosity from you all.

ETA: OK, everyone, lovebeast generously gave up one of her lanyards. thanks so much lovebeast, I will be refunding you.

There's always a few laughs on this board!! Thx for suggestion about the online postal service, I'll try that next time! Really, it was worth the wait when the "older" women started yelling after we waited a half hour!:rotfl: They literally told off the supervisor who then slammed the door in our faces and then a man felt bad and didn't mail his 50 envelopes so we didn't have to wait even longer!:rotfl:

I picked up my euros today.......one step closer!:goodvibes

The list is on page 878 post 13157 if you want to double check.

Sandra

Thanks! :thumbsup2

You can buy a small scale that hooks onto your suitcase handle, and when you pick it up by the scale, it weighs the suitcase and leaves the total weight visible. This is a good thing to have not only when packing before leaving, but also to take with you since you will be buying things during the cruise and may need to redistribute things to be sure no suitcase weighs too much. You can get one for about $10 at baggage stores, online travel stores (Magellan, etc.). .....

Congrats on the iPhone!!!!!!! I know how hard it is to keep a secret when you feel you have gotten someone something really special, so I sympathize with your husband giving it early . . . however, my take on giving presents too early is that it distracts from the enjoyment of the actual day celebrated -- so my advice would be to wait and give him his present on the actual day. Otherwise the day itself might be a bit of a letdown.

Congrats to those who received their docs yesterday (we didn't)!!!!!!

Same here - no docs and no possibilities until next week! But on the bright side - I think its hilarious in making DH wait. He gave me the puppy dog look when he handed me my present but I just coolly said - thanks. Then almost gave in to the temptation to give him his but I agree with those to say wait - when your b-day comes along and no one gives you anything - that is so sad. So I wrapped everything - sometimes even 1 suit into 2 or 3 boxes. I like to drag things out! :lmao:

Hi Laura!!! So excited about your phone!! It the best best toy I ever got!!!! I love it so much!!!!! It was sooo easy to set up. All I did was hook the cradle to my mac, set the phone in it, and it came up all by itself and started downloading all my information- my mail, address book, contacts, itune library, bookmarks etc. It loaded itunes which is where it does its downloading from, and then it literally walked me through a 3 step process to Att to get my new number and service. It took all but 3 minutes-!! Each time I set the phone in the cradle, it updates all my info!!! I do not know if its easier because I have a mac, but I couldn't believe I came home with the phone in the box, plugged it into the computer and was making a call 5 minutes later!!!

Cool - I have been doing some last minuting arranging with DD's school trying to arrange her taking her finals on the 24th instead so that we aren't as rushed to get to the airport on the 25th. But I wish Windows was as easy as that! I tend to make anything electronic triply slow!

Happy Birthday, Laura!:bday: Enjoy your new phone. I am betting you give him gifts early! My dh can never keep a secret. He gets too excited with himself when he buys something and hints around until I know what it is so he might as well just give me the gift!

Thank you guys - its actually the 23rd so I'll miss the ship by a few days but that's ok - next year I will be again celebrating on the Magic but in the Mexican Rivera instead! ;)

Have you designed that man hole cover yet??:upsidedow See you soon!:rotfl:

OMG! I forgot about that - I will have to print that up - thanks for the reminder! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Andrew sounds like such a bad day = although I'm sorta glad you posted that because I thought I was the only one that had days like that.

I worried about posting that but figured if it made anyone laugh - it was worth it! :upsidedow

Andrew, sorry you had a bad day. Laura, good decision with holding off on your husband's present -- maybe you will get your docs for July 28 and Aug. 18 at the same time -- I received the following email from my TA today:

Hi Julie
I just received a call from the documents department at Disney cruise line
They are trying to print up the August documents for you this week and will make both sets to you. They are hoping that they will go out early next week and will arrive UPS 3 day delivery

On another note - I finally broke out the French CD's. The first one I started to listen to - the Conversational French in 7 days is really made for those that know some info on the language. Luckily - a compulsive worrywart like me planned and I had bought another one that sat in my bookcase until last night. This ones is a bit more basic and explains some of the rules and why some letters are silent and some not. You know - like English.

But my tongue has a hard time wrapping around some of the sounds. It keeps trying to pronounce with a Spanish accent! :scared1:

I can say Bonjour Misour (ok - so I spell phonetically) and Madam but Lordy - it can't say madameselle. What's wrong with it???????? :confused3

It has a mind of its own! :rotfl2:

Julie - that is both exciting and worrying. pixiedust that it gets to you in time. My Aug paperwork is being sent to the lady that booked me - I will be meeting her in Barcelona and she will carry my docs with her. One less thing for me to worry about! ;)

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Well, we got the Disney Rewards card today - that'll help pay off the fruity drink bill :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

TA called, she got our documents for the one room. Guess I'll get the other documents here at home.

Yipee - getting excited and stressed and excited and nervous and excited and tired!!

:lmao: :lmao:

Actually my amount is not too bad - I guess it's sad since I have charged so much on it - but they are bills that had to be paid regardless. (Homeowners policy, car insurance for 4 cars, college tuition and some other large items purchased). With my $200 on-board credit and my rewards card - I will only need a few more dollars and this should cover all the tips (without counting Palo).

Yipee - getting excited and stressed and excited and nervous and excited and tired!!

I hear you.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

Thanks I must say I want and need a holiday now ASAP.

Good luck on tickets must say very little in the package, I noticed this last year if you comple online registration there isnt a lot in the mail. Far less than the previous MED package.

I am sure you could still get on at port with ID if they didnt turn up.

Yay! Docs arrived (at least mine - still waiting to hear from others in my party). This is beginning to get very real.....

Congrats the tickets stream is becoming a fast river now!

Now all set for my flights to LAX Los Angeles, or is that 2008????:rotfl2:

HINT for the day.

If you have prescription medicines order them now and have enough for a week or so after.

If using your credit/debit cards, tell your bank one week in advance of travel that you are going and where to cut down on security checks.

Hello, just in very very bad day at work, got my headache back!!!

But

1/ DCL Tickets arrived by UPS!

2/ PISA refunding the extra tickets!

So a bit more happy!

Andrew--So sorry about your day, but the important thing is that you are safe! Rest your eyes and relax and have a nice evening with your family.
Looking forward to meeting all of you soon!:grouphug:

:goodvibes Hi all,

Sorry I have not been posting much - too much to do and toooooooo little time.

I have been reading though so I think Im uptodate.

:happybirthday: Laura - I can just picture you and Sally on Deck, both with your toys ;)

Joann, I have made an attempt at a pirate costume for my self - Think I might see if there is a t- shirt on board that Dave could wear. (That will be as near as I can get for him).

ok well I feel I am getting somewhere.

Today I have bought my giftbag and its contents ( warning there is some china in so it is fragile for whoever gets it).:goodvibes

I have also managed to complete the Guest part of the online checkin. ( The way I got round it was in the disembarkation bit - I filled in the hotel in barcelonas address , then put in state FL and DVC zipcode. Hopefully they will work out that Barcelona is not a district of FL !;)

I also picked up a perscription from my docs of all the medication I take. I also picked up a signed list of all the perscribed drugs I take - so I can show anyone of the authorities that need it.

I have taken my mam shopping - only one more shop till we go away.

Going to go and have to lie down. I am still reading - if not posting as much. This last week my back has been the worst for a long while. I am really nervous now in case anything happens before the holiday - I need this holiday -so badly.

I'm sure you'll feel much better Helen. When my back used to be very bad for a while, it was a good thing because it always got worse before it got better.:grouphug:

Thought you needed a smile, Andrew, so searched for a pic to make you laugh. Guess what, I found a picture of the person that made you so annoyed. This is what they really look like!
