all right - baseball got cancelled tonite due to rain, so I'm finally here to get the pirate: ball rolling - although the 40 sec rule always kills me

40 sec nothing--how about a computer that is on it's last leg!! No chance for a pirate:

We look at the top of the list but I wonder how many people have maybe dropped off the cruise, does anyone notice whos gone?

Sam sent me an email that she's not going to be able to make it.

26 pages behind and not able to stay on until after 9 tonight! :faint:
Me either. I have to spend "real" family time with the family tonight. :)

I guess this would not be a good time to tell you that DD14 graduates 8th grade on Friday.
Congrats to your dd! Mine graduates high school next week -- too fast too fast

:sad2: Ok...Laura has informed me that I am NOT going on this cruise! I am going on the WB TransAtlantic in August! :sad2: I am so excited that I didnt realize that I was on the wrong thread!

Oh well.....It has been a hectic day and alot to look forward to. I hope you all have a great cruise....I know I will!

Pam
It was almost nice to meet you. ;) Have a great time on the cruise.

come on guys - I see green lights out there-

I see Mary Jo
I see Harole Anne
I see . . .

Doesn't it kind of make you wonder if Disney did their usual background work before shore excursions were planned. We have been told on different shore excursions how throughly Disney checked out the vendors even down to their water supply. I just wonder how much time they had to really check things like they normally do with this being totally new territory for Disney?? We got a call several weeks ago to reschedule the time for our shore excursion in Marselle for the Historic Santons Figurines. We picked the afternoon tour and they changed it to the morning saying they were having only one tour. Time was of no consequence to us, but it does seem unusual to have so many changes already.:surfweb: I guess we will have to keep reading the trip reports to see how things are going and see if they have any changes to report. I think we have a wide variety of shore excursions in our group.:cutie:
I hope they straighten everything out soon, and especially before we go!

the 40 sec rule is a drag!
Congrats on the pirate:

There's a 40 second rule? :rolleyes1

Regarding tags on the back of the shirt. There's a tradeoff - put on too many and nobody will be able to read them. I'd tend to suggest using one tag per person and keep the font larger.

I agree, we were talking of each of us just picking one.

LOL - I'm at a baseball game right now. And since it looks like my Pirates are losing, we will be playing again tomorrow.

OK guys - my fingers are numb and my notebook battery is dying. I caught up since my conference call. I'll catch up again later.

Hello everyone,

Just letting you know I'm still here. By the time I ketchup there isn't any time left for me to post.

Harole Ann
We'd love to meet for drinks before the Magic Fountain. Has a time been set yet?

Does anyone know how far it is to the fountain from the Gran Marina Hotel?

The reviews of the excursions are interesting. Not what I expect from Disney but I'm glad they will have had lots of time to straighten everything out by the time we get there.

It's sad to think that the first 11 day Med cruise is coming to an end tomorrow. But that means we are one cruise closer to going ourselves:banana:

Congratulations to all the pirates out there.

Sandra

eeyorelvr10 - I wanted to let you know that I finally got a chance to see Captain Crash's pictures - I felt like a bit of a voyeur - but they were great - really helps with the fish extender and door decorations. I also saw your picture - great picture - now I'll recognize you! I personally like your pin - very festive. Is that your true love with you in the picture?

This might sound silly, but why would you want to bring pictures of your shower on the cruise???:confused3
There's a certain logic to it... It probably won't be too many days into the trip before you start missing a shower that's larger than a double width coffin, that has more pressure than a water pistol, and where the toilet next door doesn't sound like a dragon with a hairball.

I just wanted to let you know that I got a call this afternoon from DCL saying that the Palermo excursion: Village of Cefalu and Marionette Show has been cancelled. I was able to book the half day Cefalu excursion, but just a heads up to anyone considering it or anyone who booked it but didn't get notified.
I wonder if that has to do with that post I read somewhere about that excursion - the one where all the kids were traumatized by puppet decapitation?

It would be interesting to compare what we're hearing about excursions with the Caribbean excursions during the first season of the Magic. Bet there were some rough edges then as well (probably more given that everyone was new).

I'm actually curious about all those who are trying to get on the waiting list for the inaugural cruise of the new ships. I can see the appeal of being first and getting the unique pins, posters and T-shirts - but at the same time, do I really want to be the one who gets to learn firsthand why they call them "shake down" cruises?

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

You guys are talking way to much!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

300 posts since I logged off last night!!

I am at the beach for my neice's graduation from HS!! Beautiful day here

www.bethanycam.com

The graduation was so awesome!! 7:30 pm at night was a little late to start, but I cried....just the same.

Daniel (my oldest) graduates in 2 weeks....I will be a mess for that!!

Penny,
We could see how long it would take to get a pirate...

But something tells me we would both fall asleep and someone else would swoop in and snag it away after all our hard work.

I am having a bridal shower on Saturday for my future daughter-in-law. She's coming on Friday from Fla. with my son, her mom, grandmother, and brother (They're originally from New Zealand and I love to listen to them talk.) Half the guests are from out of town and many will be coming to my house at some point. I thought I'd get away with the house being somewhat presentable since the shower is at a restaurant but since I'm doing some entertaining here, too, it needs more than presentable at this point! I've just finished making the favors and centerpieces and I'm still feeling overwhelmed. None of the bridesmaids live here and are not coming because they live in Fla.(they'll be going to a shower there) so it's been pretty hectic. Thank goodnees for my girlfriend and my mom who both have been a big help.

Thanks for listening to me vent.

When this is over I'm going to figure out how to do multiple quotes!

Good luck with all of that! Girlfriends and Mom's are the best.
