We are at the Hotle Cram pre and AC Barcelona after!

Are there supermarkets in downtown Barcelona? I don't want to carry water with me. I need the room for clothes and shoes!!

Also, we are planning on bringing wine onboard with us. Are there liquor stores near the port? Also are there any requirements for buying liquor. I assume a passport will be enough or do they even require an ID. I know around here you have to have a valid MA drivers license. A passport wouldn't even work. But this is Massachussetts so that doesn't surprise me.

Not Sure where the supermarkets are but there will be.

You can be Liquor at the supermarket ( like in the UK)- dont think there are any requirements - just have to be over a certain age - 16 or 18 I think?

I was suprised when you couldn't but spirits in a supermarket in USA.

Dh did the booking but I think it was $118. US for the transfer from Airport to hotel, Hotel to Ship and Ship to airport. I can't find the confirmation. If I do I can give you the exact amount.

That would be great for me, too. I'm thinking of getting the transfers back to the airport & rent a car from there.

i'm staying that the hesperia presidente. i think it is downtown somewhere. i'm planning on buying a couple of bottles for friday and saturday and just drink the ship's water from deck 9.

There is a store called El Corte Ingles, which is a huge store that usually also includes a grocery store. I recommend going to the Corte Ingles & pricing out souvenirs, if you have the time. It's usuall y less expensive than the specialty shops, and you can get LLadro, fans, castanets, and other Spanish type souvenirs.

Also, if any of you are cooks & use saffron, you can get it for much less in Spain than here in the US. It's called Asafran. (Accent on the last a - can't get my accents to work on this keyboard)

Dont know if its me but that seems quite steep.

But them Im not sure how many Euros you get for the $ ???

that is disney's standard price for ground transfers, but that is for 2 people. i looked at my cruise for next year and they are charging me $59 per person for just airport to port.

DisneyLover5 we are staying at the AC Barcelona the night before the cruise. I'm a bit worried about how the jetlag will affect me. DH and sleep through anything but I've never been able to sleep on a plane.

in nc your can't buy hard liquor in supermarkets and on sundays you can't buy any beer or wine until 12pm and i think the abc stores are closed on sundays.

Yes, I think it's one bag per family and about $15-$20. I think the idea is to exchange on our Sun morning Dis meet. I think we just put the place where the bag is from on the outside of the bag.
