Hello Andrew we're in Southgate north London which I'm guessing is probably about 30-40 mins round the North Circular from where you are.

Are most people from the UK heading out to Barcelona a few days before we sail or is anyone like us and going out on Saturday morning ?

I believe Andrew is heading to Barcelona a week before the cruise. I am going 4 days prior. No way would I have the nerves to arrive the same day

Funny you should mention that - I would have sworn it was only once or twice. But you know - blame the person that's not there. I shudder to think what will happen if I take off.

Oh Helen - did you hear the news? I 'was' signed up to do the REPO! A friend thought I would like to do it. and so I talked with DD14 and DH and both said go ahead. DD wasn't too happy but she's been a doll with me this summer. So the worst part about this is that when they leave on the 15th of August, I will have to get myself to Barcelona and met up with my friends. I am actually looking forward to those 3 days as rest and relaxation with an opportunity to visit Monserrat which I couldn't do before the cruise.

Anyway, I am now trying to talk another friend into doing the cat 12 with me but if she doesn't - next time.

The best part of the news? When we dock in PC, FL, DH and DD14 and possibly DD20 will fly up to WDW for Labor Day (Holiday here that is a major excuse for NO WORK!) and we will fly back out on Tuesday night so another mini-vacation. What a way to send the summer packing! And since we are DVC members, - we get low points!

Darn IT! I was typing and missed it! Story of my life - each one I've gotten has been purely by accident. I've assisted several but not gotten many. But anyway, Kyla and I have decided not to try for anymore, MJ is a little intimidating.

I forgot to tell you my news - Im soooo excited

I'm getting a new car , (Well a lot newer than I've got, but not brand new)

I'm counting down the days till Thursday till I pick it up.

Its a Renault Scenic (sp?) green in colour and made 2004.

We're also hoping to get on the 2012 inagural cruise. We're down on a wait list but I'm not sure Disney will use it when it actually come to booking the cruise but I guess it don't hurt to try

Now you've got me worried about getting to Barca on the same day as we leave. Still we are due to land about 10:20 in Barca from Luton airport. As the ship doesn't leave till late I guess that gives us time for delays

I use a TA to book our cruises and when I heard about the new ships I contacted him and he rang DCL and faxed in our details to put onto a waitlist. If you want the details of our TA just PM me.

I'm sure you'll be fine.

I however am a big worrier and my nerves wouldn't allow it. You dont have a long journey. Some of the USA guests are arriving the same day!!!

No, I have been teaching for 25 years and we have never closed school due to the heat. Sometimes I think, it is more dangerous keeping the school open during very high temps than snow days. Although, it has to really bad for my district to close even when it snows!
It was really horrible though the past two days- the kids really cant concentrate, and I just feel lightheaded and sick! Thank goodness its Saturday, because I think today is worse than the past two with the high humidity. I also want to hug the person that invented central air conditioning !!!
