Well I've now read through about half of the 343 pages of this thread and even though I've only know you bunch for about 24 hours I've come to the conclusion that

YOU ARE ALL COMPLETELY STARK RAVING BONKERS !!!

having that said it will certainly make for a fun cruise !!!!!!

I know I've seen it somewhere in this thread but can someone tell me where there was the list of people on this cruise as my DS 11 wants to know if there will be any DIS board kids his age that he can hang out with ?

Also if there are any kids his age could he please PM them (using my DIS login) and get to know them a little before we cruise ?

Mykids are DD 11 nearly 12 and DS 8 will be nearly 9.

Hello Andrew we're in Southgate north London which I'm guessing is probably about 30-40 mins round the North Circular from where you are.

Are most people from the UK heading out to Barcelona a few days before we sail or is anyone like us and going out on Saturday morning ?

Know it very well, Yes that roundabout above the Piccadilly line, went to a few resturants around there.

Yes North Circular and A12 actually.

I let you into a state secret, I say North East London, true, its a London borough, but also Essex. Havent posted this before but I live in Romford.

Anyway, this board hs been busy and we even decided to honor your memory by renaming the 5000 post as Admiral Andrew - I tried to campaign to make it Assistant Admiral Andrew or AAA for short but got no takers!

Anyway, glad your back - hope your feeling better and hope to see pictures soon!

I see you have met some of our newbies - lots of people jumping onboard last minute.

OBTW, looks like I am taking the ship back to the states. Signed on last night and made final payment so I can't back out. Anyway, more details later. I just signed on and saw you and couldn't let you pass w/o saying hi!

We are actually only a 3 min walk from the station.

Josh (DS 11) has just remembered that he swam against ROMFORD in a swim gala last week. He was in a 50m freestyle with him and 7 boys from Romford, he aquitted himself fairly well and came 4th

Congrats!

No, I have been teaching for 25 years and we have never closed school due to the heat. Sometimes I think, it is more dangerous keeping the school open during very high temps than snow days. Although, it has to really bad for my district to close even when it snows!
It was really horrible though the past two days- the kids really cant concentrate, and I just feel lightheaded and sick! Thank goodness its Saturday, because I think today is worse than the past two with the high humidity. I also want to hug the person that invented central air conditioning !!!

Sallie - what happens here in CA is whenever it hits 90 degrees before 10 am for 2 days consecutive the following day - 3rd - they let the kids out by 12. HOWEVER - my experience has been that when this hapens - that 3rd day is usually cool! You know the saying - you can't fool with Mother Nature?

Sorry guys for the first time ever I cant 'ketchup ' on posts my DD is waiting to use the internet as well.

My DD20 said that the reason that that tweens/teen thread is only 8 pages is cuz the parents aren't letting their kids on the boards!

Its a Renault Scenic (sp?) green in colour and made 2004.
