July 27 - 7 Day Eastern Cruise

ldb1030 --- She doesn't even have her luggage yet. I told her I would buy her a new set for her B.D., but we haven't been shopping yet. She did buy her girls new luggage, though.

Paintballbusters-You should have bought her luggage when you all were out shopping over the weekend!!! Get busy! We only have 44 days!
Beachgirls- You are welcome for the hotel help!:D

GrandmaLinda, I'm LOL at the crew quarters. Good luck on that.

I will make reservations for dinner and high tea.

We'll talk about all of these other people.

For you all that missed it, I'm from beautiful Oregon.

Do you think my white and black spotted coat will be too much for a cruise?

Hi y'all! I'm packed, luggage sitting by the front door...just waiting now! LOLOL And if y'all believe that, I have some prime oceanfront property in Kentucky I'd like to sell to you! ;) Actually, things are nuts at my house right now, we just put it on the market (we're downsizing) it's an absolute WRECK.... we're trying to get ready for our cul-de-sac garage sale and I have this HUGE tub in my bedroom full of our clothes and stuff we need to take on the cruise. BUT.... I ordered a Linens N Things g/c so I can go get space bags and we'll pack our clothes in there and then vacuum the air out (I'll use the vac on the ship when it's time to pack up to come home :( ) So anyway, I'm outta here now to go finish packing up garage sale and cruise stuff so I can hide everything in the basement (which also needs decluttering...sigh...)

You're going to be needing a cruise.

I have just spent over an hour reading past "Navigators" from the Magic on an April cruise. I wasn't sure at first if I wanted to know everything (I like suprises) but I found reading them (including all of the teen activities) very helpful. I'm working reservations around the shows I want to see, stuff like that.

There is just so much to do. The challenge will be to just make time to relax.

:smooth: hey, Cruella, thanks for the reservations! I hear the reservation line for the Palo is horrible and I was wondering what to do with the 8 & 5 yr. old while I was waiting. Drinks are on me at Palo! I love Oregon. Visited there many times. My mom's family was from Eugene. Beautiful State, great fishing. Lots of Californians moving there. If you can handle the Florida heat and humidity in that coat, go "fur" it. ZooMommy: if you have a Costco nearby, you can get those Space Bags there, lot less than Linen's 'n Things. Linda

HI all! It sounds like everyone is soooooooooooooo excited about this cruise. We are two.:Pinkbounc Hope all goes smoothly with everyones packing. We are slowly getting it together.:D
Zoomommy- the space bags at Bed Bath Beyond are 19.99 for one jumbo, and two large. They all hold quite a bit. These are storage size.
Cruella- You are so sweet to share your Palo with grandmalinda. See we are all friends and we haven't even reached Florida.:p My husband as always wanted to go to Oregon. It is so far from us, maybe someday.
Grandmalinda- my 8 year old wants to know what your grandaughters like?
Well all have a great and wonderful day and may you have something special happen today!:D

Anne

Do space bags really work? After storage do the clothes come out flat or do they really puff up like the commericials? Are they fresh? Will you give us a space bag class on the cruise?

GrandmaLinda, I live in Eugene. Are you in California?

I go to Florida in the summer a lot it seems. I think it's because I work around the school schedule and Disney is there. It's so beautiful here the summer, I tell myself I'm crazy to leave but that MOUSE is a big draw! As long as the AC works down there I'm fine and I do love those afternoon thunderstorms.

Never mind GL, I just saw San Diego by your name. I'm watching the Van Damm trial as I type. Just horrible.

Hi, DAP&I: granddaughter Danielle (8) has blonde hair, blue eyes, likes Britney Spears, reading, dancing and swimming. Tomorrow is the last day for her in 2nd grade. She is in Indian Princess and is also a Brownie. She loves gymmnastics and will be going to golf camp this summer. Her sister, Kylie (5), has blonde hair and brown eyes and likes whatever her sister likes, of course! Both of the girls will have 2 weeks of camp just before the cruise. Busy summer.
Cruella: I just opened a Space bag of my summer clothes and they're pretty wrinkled. I think the bags will work best on stuff that doesn't need to be ironed. Will we have access to an iron? (Since I'm in category 12, I'll probably have the maids living next door to me. Should be easy to get someone to do the ironing.) I'm glued to the Westerfield/Van Damm trial also. Although I live about 30 miles away from where Danielle lived, I was one of the searchers for 2 days. I was even interviewed on tv twice. You couldn't convince anyone in San Diego that he didn't do it.
Linda

GL. Looking bad for DW and they haven't even gotten into the material evidence yet. I hate the way they went after the Van Dams for their....well anyway, and today it comes out that Feldman is a card carring, volunteering member of NORML. Don't get me going on lawyers.

Will you try to email me through the email link here? I don't know if it works or not. If not I'll put my yahoo addy on the board. I may need your name and room number for the reservations. I've read different things concerning that on the boards.

I'm not getting anything done because of that trial. CTV coverage stinks. Bet it's better in San Diego.

Hey y'all! GL, we don't have a Costco here, just Sam's and I haven't seen the spacebags there. I read somewhere that there is an iron in Deck 7's laundry room; I won't put our formal stuff in the spacebags, though...

Cruella - I've vacationed many times at Crater Lake when I was growing up and one day I'm going to take my family there! That's God's country, for sure!

Please pardon my ignorance, but what's up with the Westerfield/Van Damm trial? I can't watch stuff like that; I can't hardly bear to read about that young lady in Utah. I can sure appreciate my mom's "over-protectiveness" a lot more these days...

Anyone wanna come help me declutter my house? Puhleeze??? LOL

Cruella, I'll try to send you an email. Yeah, the trial is carried on 3 stations here plus repeats at night. The San Diego Union Tribune seems a wee bit slanted against DW with bad pics of him & headline comments such as today's "Defendant said "we" in telling of trip to desert". First time I agree with a newspaper. You and I will have great conversation at Palo. I don't have a room number yet....remember, I'm down there with the crew! TA says they may assign a room late June. Linda

Fed Ex called, my docs are here! but they can't find my house. DUH! I've been here all day waiting for them to find it. DCL addressed them to my daughter. Good! She can pay for it too.

:bounce: :Pinkbounc How exciting!!!! You lucky gal! My TA said my docs would be sent directly to them. I'll call tomorrow and see what the status is. Linda

Hallo to everybody!
Here we are again (Laura & Marco from Italy)

We have been quite busy these days. Hallo to Cruella and Buzz2.
It's nice to see our "onboard family" is growing fast :bounce: .
We made a spreadsheet with "Who's who" information. We will try to copy it in a further reply later on.

Concerning packing ... since we leave home (in Italy) and board our MAGIC ship, there will be more than 24 hours of trip. We will have a "ship luggage" that will be opened only on the ship (4 days after leaving home ... we also have to recover the Jet Lag!).
Moreover we will have some small luggage to "survive" until boarding the ship.
We had the same packing in our previous cruises and dresses reached destination in good shape. No need of ironing. We use hardside Samsonite luggage, specifically designed for long trips

p.s. You will recognize us easily. We are the two unique people speaking Italian but Pinocchio ;)

Hi Marco and Laura!

A spreadsheet! How organized.:) That's a good idea.

You have a long trip to get to the Magic, remember you'll have friends waiting for you in Florida.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Cruella.
