My hubby is suggesting that we must use Disney for the port trips out of St Petersburg as they sort the Visa issue ? Any thoughts anyone as I really prefer private as usually much better and cheaper to share with a smaller group

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

No VISA is required!

You have options, by special arrangement with cruise lines and Russia border control.

Yes you can go on DCL trips when they come out you will see there are good, but expensive and you will find time clashes so you Cant do everything.

For say a family of four, or four sharing, a private tour is cheaper, you direct what you want to do and when the guides cut the lines seem to get in rather than a coach load queue and queue up again.

I used Anastasia in 2010 loads others did as well and all rated it fantastic.

I am booked again with them for 2015.

The decision is yours, but I would say look into it do not have your minds closed to it.

Contact them get an itinerary and a quote maybe book it wait see what comes out from DCL " if" that's better cancel and book them, they will not be. They will be expensive.

Ask Anastasia re the border control and visa and read there response, it's not required.

I know we are a little over a year away
I will be at least one maybe two cruises before that:yay:

But when will and how will you send out how and where to meet the bus:surfweb:

my email is xaverianfan@yahoo.com

You will be sent clear instructions once we have final numbers & confirmed hotel reservations. This will include a time, a photo showing where to stand for the coach and contact numbers for me & Paul. The earliest this will happy will be after PIF date as the chances of anyone jumping ship then is minimal. Last time no-one missed the coach and everyone found the stops easily. It sounds straight forward to organise 2 coaches, but we need to arrange a route, make sure the coaches are evenly filled whilst taking into account one way systems, no stopping areas etc.

I just as an independent person want to back this up.

Paul and Celestine worked very hard on this in 2010 and everyone was pleased, it's a fantastic offer will save money as going to Dover isn't direct of easy, Dover a Priory station is a taxi ride away the port is in an industrial commercial port with a busy road.

It will all go to plan very very well!

Ps I didn't use it as I am closer to the port, on East London do can drive and cut through and avoid going into London.

And finally mention scumpy on Facebook from that coach and the Internet lights up!

Coach to Dover Update....

Have initial price, but I will squeeze more out of them, which I will use to buy drinks, nibbles & candy for the passengers. I am going to set the price at £20 (roughly $30) per person for the trip to Dover from London.

Let Celestine or I know by PM if you haven't already registered an interest.:thumbsup2

Is the coach price at £ 20 per person and per way so for us would be £ 120 as we are two adults and one child ??

The coach is £20 per person from London to Dover single. We are doing back to back cruises, so we will be flying back from Barcelona.

Nobody has yet requested travel back from the port, I am willing to organise if there enough interest. The main complication with the return is that most people want to go straight to an airport. Last time I organised a coach and several private transfers for the return. The coach went from Dover Port - London Heathrow - Central London.

We are away on vacation to the USA for three weeks in August, once we return I will up the input on planning for this trip. It is difficult to even try and plan pick ups yet, as you cruisers don't know where you are staying so what chance do i have of finding you LOL. Willing to help answer any questions about transport etc...just not pick up points yet.:thumbsup2

I think it sounds impossible to organize, I am not sure how you do it.:worship:

Thank you very much for doing this.

If you have the winning lottery numbers, please let me know!!!

Marriott County hall is the best pick up location, however it is one of their more expensive properties. Grosvenor square will work as there is usually no problem stopping to pick up

Hello everyone!

We are booked on this cruise and are excited about it! Our group includes two cabins:

Dave, Carey (me) and Zach (14)
and
Marchelle and Amy

We just returned from the 9-night Greek isles cruise, with a few days ahead of time in each of Venice and Cortina d'Ampezzo (so nice!). We've had this cruise booked for a while but needed to finish our last trip before we could focus on this one! It looks like I need to post several more times before I can PM for the FE and FB groups. Will try to figure out how best to do that without bothering everyone . . .

Looking forward to a year of trip planning!

Carey

Casey and Tracey - I am so glad to hear of more boys in this age range!

Our DS Elian is into playing Magic, Dungeons and Dragons and (of course) many different multi-player computer games (such as Minecraft). Do your boys like any of those? Anyone else have kids who like these?

He also likes doing improv, drama and musical theatre and playing gagaball. He is a committed boy scout (life scout) and into math, science and robotics.

On a past cruise, he connected with another DISboards boy ahead of time who had similar interests and we are all still friends and have even visited back & forth. (They live about 8 hours away from us.)

One year from tomorrow, we sail!

Sent from my SCH-I535 using DISBoards

Does anyone know how long before we sail you can book a parking spot at the port in Dover?

For now the calendar goes as far as the end of December 2014.

Thanks in advance
