We took the train from a hotel near LHR. It was great for our family! I wish that we took a camera. We switched trains and buses so many times.

I think the fun part was the double decker bus, the Harry Potter bus, and the Paddington Express, which was REALLY a nice express train.

I know the UK folks will laugh, but we left @ 9:30 a.m. and arrived right at our ticket time 12:30 p.m.

It was so neat!

Personally, I think you did well..I would struggle to find my way by train from Heathrow to WB Studios. I will post some photos to the FB page from when Celestine and I visited.

Have you seen the Blackadder series? Stars Rowan Atkinson and Hugh Laurie, who you know as House.
Very funny the fourth series is my favourite. Google: "Blackadder goes Forth", there are plenty of clips on You tube etc...

LOVE Blackadder. My favorite series is the Prince Regent, especially the one with the actors and their MacBeth superstitions.

Hi all! Maybe I should post this on FB, but I figured I would try here first-- I have a couple of questions about the FE-- I've been reading up to see what it is all about, but still have some questions.....

-Are you supposed to say who the FE gift is from or is it anonymous?
-How long does it take to deliver the gifts? Can you do a deck a day or are you supposed to distribute them all at once?
-I've read that you can either choose to give a gift to each family or to individual family members-- what do most people do?

What have been some of your favorite FE gifts that you have received?

From previous experience...

Most people say who they are from, as they tend to be a little something from where you come from or of use during the cruise. For example we have had pegs, sweet, highlighters, postcards, magnets.

You can take as long as you want to deliver, we ted to let the girls deliver a deck a day.

Some people give a gift to all in the cabin or goody bags for each child.

Just so you know, I like Jack Daniels and OBC

Our experiences have mostly been like ReadingFC's, too. Most will attach a little tag or note with their name on it so you know who it's from, but some don't. We deliver whenever we have spare time, usually on the way to lunch and dinner. Our personal favorite gifts have been glow sticks, luggage tags, luggage identifiers (not tags, but something colorful to tie to the handle to make spotting your suitcase easier), chocolate, hand sanitizer, homemade first-aid kits, emergency kits, pirate gear... we like anything, really! There are no expectations, and no minimum price, so go with what you're comfortable doing and spending. You can do one surprise per cabin or something for each member of the family - whatever works out best for you. We've received items that range in value from a handmade paper bookmark to Disney travel mugs. The exciting part is coming back to the cabin and seeing something poking out of your FE!
