July 2012 Resort and ADR Lists Thread...Countdown to Disney!

Shopping is now done, packing is now done. Hair, nails, etc.... DONE! All that is left is washing the van and loading it up! Yea!!! Now I may be able to chill and catch up with the Q's of the day!

Here is our nails. We went with a vacation theme. My DD's picked my nails. They are "Disney Blue". DD#2 went with pink zebras to rep our resort choice. And DD1s are pretty self explanatory.

Evening At Ohana's


Took the POFQ bus to Magic Kingdom and then the Resort Monorail to the Polynesian Resort. Oh My Word People, I forgot how much fun and how great the food and service was at Ohana's. DD and I ate so much and the entertainment was fabu. Celebrated my Birthday for the 5th day in a row. Midori told me next year we have to stay at the Polynesian. SO, I had better start now and save all I can. Tomorrow is Hollywood Studio again.

I forgot the funniest thing. Last night the Singer looked at my shirt and said employees are not allowed to sit down and eat with guests. Please go back to work. We laughed so hard and the people around us laughed also. I looked around at the servers and my shirt was pretty close to the shirts they were wearing.

As for question of the day: I personally want to go to at least one rope drop in my lifetime,however getting a teenage boy up "at the crack of dawn" is nearly impossible. So this year since he is old enough I plan to go to a rope drop by myself and he can take the shuttle transportation over later.. He just walked in the room as I was typing this and said "oh I think I could get up and go". So we will see, I am not holding my breath! LOL

Px4 I love the nails!!! Have a great trip. I have got to get my pedi and mani scheduled!!!! I am running out of time here.

You both look like you are having a wonderful time! We want to stay at BWV next time if possible as we love Epcot so much and would be able to just walk in from there! Nice and close to our favorite park.

Anjalee: Sounds like your family and RHMH just keep barely missing each other! Hope your trip is magical!

Wake up everyone, time to get going, Disney is waiting. Lets all have FUN today.

We changed our schedule today. We are going to Magic Kingdom

Anjalee - I see you are dining at Kona's at 12:45 PM. DD and I will make a special effort to take a break and go to Poly to see you guys. I will be wearing a Teal shirt with a sail fish on the back. DD will be wearing salmon shirt with a eagle on the front with the words Soak up the Sun, from Old Navy. I have to ake a break about that time and go to the transportation center to pick up my back pack I left at Animal Kingdom yesterday.

That's too bad about the other girls. I remember how you were looking forward to that! We're going in Sept.

Carrie - you are right. I was so looking forward to all 3 girls this time. I will be sure to follow your trip as you are t Disney in September....

July 19th Magic Kingdom


We decided to go to Magic Kingdom today instead of Hollywood Studio


Arrived for EMH at MK. Got fast passes for Space Mountain and rode it twice. Rode Blue Line, Buzz and did the Laugh Floor. Rode the Steam Train to Frontier Land to get fast passes for Splash Mountain. Rode Thunder and Pirates and return to Splash to ride it with fast passes. Took the train to the Main entrance and took the Monorail to the transportation center to retrieve our back pack we lost at Animal Kingdom Dino ride. Got back on the Monorail and went to the Polynesian to see if we could meet up with Anjalee and her family since we have been missing them throughout the week. They were eating at Kona's and Anjalee recognized us and walked over to greet us. Nice to talk to you Anjalee..... Went back to the Resort and now getting ready to go to DTD on the PO Boat. Do not know what we are going to do tonight. Maybe come back to the resort or back to MK.

July 19th Magic Kingdom

After napping, we text-ed Solana and decided to meet up at the Polynesian. Midori and I rode the boat from POFQ to DTD. Went to World of Disney to get Midori 2 – Vinylmation. Stopped by Goofy's candy store and purchased some goodies. Caught the Polynesian bus from DTD to meet up with Solana. Solana and her cousin was eating at Kona's and we decided to eat Sushi at the Sushi Bar. After we finished, we took the monorail to MK and caught the bus back to our resort. Midori and I had a SUPER day at MK, meeting Anjalee and Solana. It is really nice meeting fellow Diser's communicating on the Dis Board. Tomorrow – DD and I will decide if we will return to MK or go to HS. Talk to you Diser's later.

Question of the day...

Water Parks or no water parks?

We stopped visiting Water Park 3 years ago. If you visit Blizzard Beach, you have to try the Ice Cream Treat - (Few years ago, it was called the Garbage Pail) NOW - they changed the name... ??? Can not remember the new name BUT - WOW!!! a delightful treat... It is enough for 4 people but Midori and I had to have our own Garbage Pail. It is a half gallon of Ice Cream, Chocolate, Whipped Cream, Nuts, Cherries, Sprinkles, Crunched up Waffle Cones Chocolate sauce, ETC, ETC, ETC. I will post a picture - I just remembered i have a picture stashed away in my external drive.

Had a really good day too. We went to MK for rope drop. Got to ride Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, People Mover, eat breakfast, ride POTC and meet Merida (which my DD was thrilled to do). We finished up with Barnstormer and Dumbo before leaving the park at 11:30. Not bad for a morning in the park. Next, we headed to Kona for lunch at the Poly where we met up with RHMH and his daughter. Very nice meeting! . Lunch was very good, but my dessert, the Kona Cone was so good. Next, we headed to Epcot to ride, Maelstrom, Imagination, Spaceship earth, Ellen, Gran Fiesta Tour, and take a nice trip to Mouse Gears before dinner at San Angel Inn. We had a nice dinner and were on our way back to the resort. The kids are fast asleep. Tomorrow we are relaxing a little.

Question of the day...

Water Parks or no water parks?

Last time we went to the water parks was in 2002. We will not be going to the water parks again this year as we plan to spend a resort day at the pools and lazy rivers at Bonnet Creek.

Sounds like all of you at Disney right now are having a great time. Hey guess what WE ARE IN SINGLE DIGITS!!! 9 MORE DAYS!!!!!

I promised my boss today I would have all of my work completed prior to leaving! I have been so busy at this new job much quicker start in this position than was expected! I am not complaining as I am thrilled it is working out so well!

Water Parks or no water parks?

This will be our first year not doing the water parks. We have kinda vetoed TL the last few years since we always seem to get hurt there! They really need to do something about the bottom of the wave pool! Remember years ago when it had a sand bottom? We love BB but not for the price. Maybe in a few years when dd#2 starts to like the slides better.

That is really neat that you got to meet 2 disers! I think it would be really beat to do that! I told Ang to look for me at AKL!

Trying to figure out posting from the Dis App, really liking it!

Car is packed! Gave up washing it. The rain seems to never stop here anymore. I feel like I live in Seattle just with strong storms instead of drizzle. If DH gets off early tomorrow, we will hit the road then. If not, we will leave a out 3am fri/sat night. We still have no idea where we are staying Sat night. DH doesn't want to prepay for a room if we can't make it there. So we will either be adding a room to AKL mid drive or we will wing it with a outside hotel. But in any case, we will be on the road within 15-30 hours!!!!
