July 2011:Calling all planners-Post your dates & Resort

good morning july-ers!

I'm going the first through the seventh! One of my girlfriends is flying in with me and then leaving during the day of july 4th. I think the nights she's there we're going to spend watching MK fireworks. We plan on going to MK our first day because it's open until 1 and the reason for this trip is to celebrate my mom's birthday (she passed away on Feb 20th) and her birthday is the 2nd. So that way, at midnight I will be able to wish her a happy birthday at the most magical place. Then the following night (her birthday) we are going to California Grill (it was her favorite, location wise) and we will watch the fireworks there, obviously. But then I read on this thread, the 3rd has the same performance of fireworks as the fourth, is that correct?

And so then when I'm solo, the fourth I'll be at the yachtsman and then maybe to MGM because of its magic hours (until 1 am)

Then Epcot (5th), haven't quite decided the 6th (maybe AK and a water park?) and then I always have to leave my trips off at MK :goodvibes

WELCOME! What a great way to remember your Mom!

This next week is going to be all about house cleaning and orginization for me (ok and looking for more items to pack in our vaction bags :rotfl::rotfl:).
Sams club was ok, but with all the high wind and rain, the power kept going out :scared1: I was standing near where the water/produce is, putting those huge bottles of water in my cart when BOOM there went the lights! When the power came back on, we got the heck out of dodge.

Were closing in on that 80 day mark! Like a PP said, I can SMELL that Florida sunshine!

 Hope you start to feel better.

Thanks! Apparently 4 weeks is the magic number! I am starting to feel better. i am still taking copious amounts of pain killers... but at least I finally feel better, on them. (A little reluctant to stop, as you can only imagine!)

83 days. WOW!

University of Michigan's last day of classes is today. We have snow predicted. I think it's pretty funny. Summer's almost here! Don't mind the SNOW!

Hi all,

I would love to join in on your party here. I just got off the AirTran website and booked our flights (we got what I think is a great deal). I'm so excited, I feel like a kid on Christmas. I don't know where we are staying yet. I have a PIN for free dining. We are thinking Pop Century or one of the Port Orleans. We wanted Caribbean Beach but all they have are the pirate rooms available with the PIN. Even though we were not fond of Coronado Springs, we were willing to try that one again, but nothing is available there with the PIN. If anyone has any opinions please share.

Our dates our 7/9 - 7/16. We are going with the kids but this is our 20th anniversary trip. Our actual anniversary is June 15th, but I plan on getting the anniversary pins and the bride and groom ears.

This will be our 2nd trip in July. We went at the end of the month last year and survived the heat and crowds.

Now I have 2 trips to plan. I'm also planning my sister's family's first trip. They are going in August.

I'm getting so excited!! Who hasn't booked their flights yet? What is considered cheap/resonable??? Arrgghh I get to kick off our pirate vacation with The new POTC 4 next month!! We are staying in the pirates themed rooms!

I am going July 14-July 22 2011 It will be a first visit for my neice and nephew. We are staying at Port Orleans- French Quarter

Looks like we will be in FL a day early. Is there anything you guys do that is a bit north of Disney?

I don't really want to add a day on so thought maybe we would do a bit of other exploring since we will now arrive on Saturday vs. Sunday. We are doing a college visit and the tours have always been listed at 10 AM, so I was basically pre-planning in my head that way. They opened the tours and in the summer it is at 1 pm...so I have completely shifted our touring stuff but that means we are arriving on Saturday vs. Sunday. Since we are driving, I figured we would have time to explore something else now that is on the way.

Gives me more stuff to plan. LOL!!!

I'm looking forward to POTC 4 too! I also think Cars 2 comes out in June! Until then we'll keep watching Tangled and Tron, over and over, as well as other Disney classics. I like to push all things Disney on my boys! :rolleyes1

I booked our flights on Orbitz before the price raise and got th em for 198 pp round trip. I keep looking to see if anyone booked for cheaper but so far it's a huge nope so I guess no refund for us.

Only 78 days til we leave for Disney!!!

And if gas doesn't go up much more, we may still be able to afford to go by then! :scared1:

Gas here is going for $4.01 a gallon:scared1: Is it sad that I can remember when gas was 1.25 a gallon?

Nah, I remember when it was $.99 a gallon :rotfl: It actually got down to like $1.50 here when oil tanked a few years ago. It's gone up steadily ever since  It's $3.85 here now....well it was this morning, i'm sure it's changed now. Still cheaper than flying, and we can't be without a car when we get there, since we're not staying at a Disney resort (unfortunately)

Looking forward to the good weather,,,
Gas here in mass 3.75
It was raining, windy and 51 degrees here today in upstate NY. I'm so ready to feel the nice sunshine against my skin!
