July 2011:Calling all planners-Post your dates & Resort

OHHH Split Say! Nice choices! I :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc The Wilderness Lodge! I think this will be our last visit there for a while though (family of 5 and even with military discount I duno if we could swing the Jr Suite) which makes me very :sad1: but I know it will be home to me again in the future.

I've never been at Wilderness, but with the AP discount it was too good to pass up lol. I'm super excited for this trip! We usually stay at the values since the price is great, but this time we're throwing in a little something extra for our 10 year *dating* anniversary, lol. :lovestruc I hope you have a fabulous time and you will get to be at Wilderness once again! <3

oh my gosh! congrats!!!!! maybe a proposal is in the air?! :lovestruc

I've always wanted to be proposed to at Disney World. On the poly beach, to be exact :rotfl:

now if only I could put that much effort into dreaming of the guy that would be proposing! :lmao:

i hope you have a wonderful time!!!:wizard:

Well, if he's proposiing at Disney World, I think it's a good start for a dream of the right guy! ;) I like your thinking... a proposal at the Poly beach is a great argument (with that dream guy) for those future trips to be at the Poly.

My brother is going to propose to his girlfriend when we are down there. He wants to do it near the castle while the fireworks are going off.:goodvibes

That's awesome! It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. :goodvibes

I'm just getting totally giddy about all of this. Can't talk to DH b/c he's not nearly as excited as I am (in fact, he's dreading it but that's only b/c he doesn't know how great WDW is) I am constantly checkig these boards, looking for tips, talking to anyone who will listen :). Seriously considering ridemax as none of the TPs are EXACTLY what we want to ride and since we're a bit pressed for time I want to maximize our experience. SOOOOO excited!!

My DH, DD (13) and I are headed down the week of July 4th. It'll be mine and my DD's first time.....DH went about 16 years ago.

We're super excited. :wizard:

How exciting!!!!! I remember how excited we all were for our 1st trip. Do you know where you are staying yet?

Congrats! I was so into everything our first trip that I want to go back and "enjoy" it this time. Last time we had to try everything and I went with a spread sheet. Not to mention my two girls has outfits for every dinner AND every charachter greeting we would go to! lol

We're at POFQ. I've wanted to go for a long time we just have never really had the chance to. Now...we do! :woohoo:

That's where we are staying this time. What are your dates? Ours are 7/9 - 7/16.

This will be our 1st time staying there, but with the refurbished rooms with queen size beds, we couldn't pass it up.

Mine isn't thrilled either, but he's being a really good sport acting thrilled for the sake of the kids. :thumbsup2 I know he'll have a blast when we get there, he's just not nearly as excited to plan as I am. All I get from him is "that's fine, whatever you want to do" :woohoo: But then again, he only gets excited about stuff like the NFL draft and March Madness. He may just end up being surprised at what he keeps saying "that's fine" to :rotfl2:

I'm getting the same responses from my DH and I think every time I talk about Disney with him he's rolling his eyes :rotfl2: I understand his point of view...the last time he went was when he was a pre teen/teenager and it was a family trip. I have learned that his family trips growing up consisted of him tagging along, his mother yelling at his father for the smallest things (some of which he had NO control over) and him not getting to do anything he thought was cool. You would think though that after close to 11 years of marriage and several trips where the only arguement we EVER had was over a park map in VA :rotfl2: that he would get excited about this!:confused3
I made sure to NOT make lunch ressies (per his request), to make sure we had atleast 3 out of our 7 days in Epcot (he :lovestruc WS or atleast the parts of it he got to see). 1 day total in DHS (split up), 1 day in AK (again Split up) and the rest of the time in MK (I am going to try to hit up MK as many times as possible though).
I got this app for my mytouch from undercover tourist and we shall see when we go how accurate the ride times are.

We're staying 7/3 - 7/9. We'll just miss each other.

In response to the conversation going about those around us not understanding why we obsess so much, I hear that! I think my DH humors me though. He listens to me babble and nods his head and smiles. He really loves going to Disney, so he doesn't care how I get us there... as long as we get there and have fun! :)

I just wish he didn't give me such a blank look when I talk about all the fun things. I keep threatening to go without him though.... I mention several friends now and then who would like to go. It is a good way to make him "behave" at least until July. :lmao:

Actually we couldn't be more excited for him. My brother waited a long time to meet someone nice and we are so happy that he met his girlfriend. The only problem is her mother is not too crazy about him (she actually doesn't like her other SILs either:confused3) and she is going to be on this trip too so it should be interesting what happens after he pops the question:lmao:

:welcome: You picked a great resort for your first time. POFQ is one of my favorite resorts. You are going to love it there.

I just booked the Tomorrowland Terrace Wishes Dessert Party for July 12, 9:00 pm! I've been stalking the dining reservation system for a while now, waiting for July to be added. The kids will be so excited to go back to this again! I looked at the price for a few seconds while paying for it, silly me.

I really want to book this, but I can't justify it. We have the QSDP and will have tons of desserts and snacks.

Has anyone ever done it before? Is the view of Wishes worth it?
