July 2011:Calling all planners-Post your dates & Resort

Taking a little break from a VERY stressful day at work to share a thought :surfweb:

My DD princess: woke up in the middle of the night last night, she'd had a "bad dream". Of course, her "bad dreams" usually consist of something like "I was at school, and I was wearing a green dress, and I wanted to wear a blue dress" :scared1: She's quite dramatic sometimes. Anyway, she of course came in my room and told me about her bad dream. She said "we were at Disney World, and it started raining" So of course I had to explain to her that in July it will probably rain, but it will actually help to keep us cool! My poor DD now thinks it's going to rain all day, every day we're there. I guess we'll have to have a few more talks in the days leading up to our trip!

:hippie:

Too funny! My DD just this morning also told me that she had a "nightmare" last night that we were at the haunted house & that the ghost switched her head. Of course she has seen the new videos - had to tell her it could happen in the mirror but of course isn't real & it'll be REALLY funny. So yes, we'll also be having some talks prior to our visit, too ;-)

July 26 to August 2!
Me and my mom will be staying at the Coronado Springs resort :yay:

Welcome!

And, I am seem to get more and more excited as each day goes by about our coming vacation. Reading this thread gets me all the more excited. Next week is Spring Break... well that just puts me in the mood for a permanent Disney Vacation!!! :dance3:

Have people ever treated it like a beach vacation? You know, sleep in, eat breakfast, spend some time by the pool, and go in to a park whenever?

:scared1: There's no sleeping in at DISNEY:sad2: JK... but we do try to make it to rope drop and usually leave in the early afternoon for some swimming.

I, personally, love that about longer trips. It's so nice to have relaxing time to do nothing and SHOP! :rotfl: oh, you can tell where my mind always is! :lmao:

Also, the crowds in July are NOTHING compared to the week before Easter! It's like sardines! That is when we have always taken our band trips to WDW. From Palm Sunday on it was almost unbearable at any of the parks. So if crowds are worrying you, just think...it could be much worse! :goodvibes

We have gone at Easter time too and by 11am you couldn't even move through Main Street :crowded:

I'll let you try that philosophy on my DH and see how that works for you. Last time I really wanted to get up early... I tried... I really, really tried... never worked. So, i bow to his "power" over me... and go for the we get there when we get there approach. Still have fun. Needless to say, we are not commando DiSers. :rolleyes1

:lmao: When we went in April,2009 it was so crowded MK opened at 7am.
Here is a picture of us at TTC at 6:45am with the kids,my mom and brother.(Dh was taking the pic) The sun was just rising, but it was the only way to beat the crowds. I just dressed the kids while they were still sleeping:rotfl: The only one not on board with my plans was my mother. She is not a morning person, but she made it.

LOVE IT!!! When we bring a child into our family through adoption.... I am sure the way we do things will change. Even if I leave DH in the room while I go to rope drop with the child! :lmao:

Well, keep in mind that my brother and his wife will have a nine month old and I'm still dealing with a heck of an injury!

(It's 3.5 weeks and there's still so LITTLE improvement. I seriously didn't believe the doctor when she said 3-6 months recovery time... until, about a week ago, I accidentally missed a dose of pain medication and owwwww. Today, I intentionally missed a dose - long store - and still owwww. My physical therapist said that I should start feeling better 6-7 weeks after injury) (I don't get paid enough for this!) (This stupid injury also forced us to cancel our vacation that was supposed to start today!)

it's going to be official! traveling 7/1-7/7
today one of my girlfriends and I are planning her half stay with me
she's going to stay with me 7/1-7/4th
so we have to figure all of those days out

wooooooooooooooo! POP!

Is it the end of June yet?

For some reason I keep thinking we are already in May which would have me over the moon because it would mean that we would only have one more month to go until July and DISNEY :banana::banana:

I wanna say WELCOME to those that just hopped on the July planning train!

For now though I have to go clean house and then pick up some stuff at Sam's Club.

I just finished my scrapbook from my trip in December with my brother. My goal was to keep it to one book, because I needed two books to fit in everything I wanted from last summer's trip. Didn't make it. Two books again. :rotfl::lmao:

I think I'm under 80 days now but I'm too sick to really care right now. Yet another sinus infection. Sadly, the neti pots and the sinus rinses just don't work for me like they do other people.

Happened to notice the date today and realized that 3 months from now DD and I will be returning from our trip to WDW! :sad1: Then I realized that I have less that 3 months to drop a few pounds and pack!! :lmao:

AGH! 87 daysss! I cannot wait anymoree! (Although, 87 is the number of my favorite hockey player, Sidney Crosby! Go Pens! :rotfl:)

Can June get here like yesterday?! I can smell the Florida sunshine already, :goodvibes

good morning july-ers!

I'm going the first through the seventh! One of my girlfriends is flying in with me and then leaving during the day of july 4th. I think the nights she's there we're going to spend watching MK fireworks. We plan on going to MK our first day because it's open until 1 and the reason for this trip is to celebrate my mom's birthday (she passed away on Feb 20th) and her birthday is the 2nd. So that way, at midnight I will be able to wish her a happy birthday at the most magical place. Then the following night (her birthday) we are going to California Grill (it was her favorite, location wise) and we will watch the fireworks there, obviously. But then I read on this thread, the 3rd has the same performance of fireworks as the fourth, is that correct?

And so then when I'm solo, the fourth I'll be at the yachtsman and then maybe to MGM because of its magic hours (until 1 am)

Then Epcot (5th), haven't quite decided the 6th (maybe AK and a water park?) and then I always have to leave my trips off at MK :goodvibes
