Hi All,

Yes, this is to CONFIRM that I will bring the numbers and be responsible for helping to hand them out for the raffle. I will also be bringing gift bags for each "kid" in our group that wants to participate. I think that if there are any big kid bags we should keep those apart from those for the smaller ones.

I will also be bringing a couple of extras just in case.

Bought a new piece of luggage today as well as 3 Hawaiian shirts for DH & a couple of sundress for myself. So, as near as I can tell, with the exception of getting some spray on sunscreen for the DH a couple more camcorder tapes and a mystic tan for DH and myself I may be done shopping for the cruise and can now start packing. Yippee!! :Pinkbounc

I still need to make the two little girl Pirate costumes, door signs and chocolate truffles but I will have all of next week to get those done.

Well, just about to sign off but am still trying to decide where to go to dinner tomorrow night (6/21) with DH as it will be our 2nd wedding anniversary :bride: :cake: :love2: and we want to have a nice night out just the two of us. We are going simple and will celebrate bigger on the cruise.

Take care all & have a terrific day!

Happy Second Anniversay. You mentioned camcorder tapes - I totally forgot - we need to go to Bestbuy to purchase those cds for our video camera too :guilty:

Jim, since you will be updating again - I will print it out one last time when you update - please add Roy's suite # (I am sure will figure it out if not  )

We also have early dinner seating (as well as AOIP57 and her parents) and this is also our third Disney Magic cruise ;) .

Iamlikesokwel - Chelsea - right on this page is Jim's list of everyone here cruising. Right at the top is the dismeet - also dismeet at Roy's suite - I believe the Roy suite might be for adults - Can anyone confirm this? Legalbriefs - Ages okay to attend? For the dismeet - if you plan on attending on Sat., you can try to wear lime green shirts. Raffles - my 12 yr. old daughter might like to participate in the raffle. We each buy a gift/bag (inexpensive) for the same # of our children that we have and want to do this and we exchange by raffling so every child is guaranteed a gift. Hope this helps.

gotta go get ready for work. Talk to you guys later.

can I confrim we are going to the dis meet! How much are you supposed to spend on the gift I know you said inexpensive, so $10 - $15 or is that to much!? Well we always tend to over do it on those kinda things! Is it just for little kids? or teens too?

Oh we also got our documents, last week yea!!! It's our first cruise ever so we are really excited!!!

TTYL,
Chelsea

I'm a little confused on the gift exchange..(Doesn't take much  )
I already planned on bringing a little bag for all the little ones. (I'm going for about 40-50bags) I'm thinking the older kids (older teenagers) probably wouldn't be interested. Now should I bring a gift exchange bags for adults maybe some little "Surf City" (Huntington Beach's nickname is Surf City) stuff. My motivation for asking is my kids would probably get upset if I didn't include them in the gift exchange!! In other words I'mtrying to avoid whiney kids!! I could bring 4 different bags (from the ones I'm bringing the kids) to be part of the gift exchange. Have I completly confused you all. I think I've just confused myself.
In a nutshell...I'll bring a goddy bag for the kiddos and 4 others for the gift exchange..Does that sound right?? Amy :flower:

I know I keep asking about this gift thing, but just like Amy I am confused. :confused3 I have no children or teens attending the meet. Does that mean I should not bring a gift bag? It will just be me, dh, and ds22 at the meet. I think I am understanding correctly that the raffle is for the kids....if I am wrong (which would not surprise me in the least) just let me know...

Betsy,

If you don't get it taped, just give me a VHS tape and I'll transfer it over for you :)

Can you believe it's less than two weeks?

Deb

Deb, Betsy,
I missed watching it. Can I possibly get a copy of this feature about the Disney Cruise Line from you? I'm not sure who amongst the 2 of you will be at the July2nd West Coast cruise......but anyone who was able to tape or record it, I would love to get a copy and can I just pay for the CD, DVD or VHS when I see you? Thanks.
Clarissa

Clarissa--Do you want it when we get there or do you want it ahead of time? There is probably still time to mail it to you. Also, check the Travel Channel listings to see if it will be rerun again.

Betsy (I'm going on the July 2 cruise. Deb is going on the next Panama repo cruise. Lucky girl!!!)

Dave at home getting ready.........

Dave at work waiting for the week to pass...... :bored: :bored:

What I need to do before I leave, cannot be done until Monday or Tuesday. Until then, I cannot believe how slow this week is going.

Sure am glad that Fran is taking care of the gift bag thing :rotfl2:

We have suitcases all over and the laundry nazi has emerged. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Just a few things to pick up on Saturday.

Dave

Reagrding the gift bag I think anyone can participate as long as we all agree that there are fun things that kids or adults would like. Sorry don't want to pry a little bitty bottle of Crown Royal out of my daughter hands saying..No this is Mommy's and she can't/won't share :earsgirl: !! That is how I'm doing for the gift bags that I'm putting in for the gift exchange. Fun, Fun, Fun stuff with a southern California twist!! Sound OK? Amy :flower:

Hope the weather holds for you guys. It's been sunny all day which isn't the norm for this time of year. We usually get the June gloom in the Am and clearing in the afternoon. I can even remember being at the beach on the 4th of July and we left because it was still cold down there. Amy

hi ! i went to the beach here in nj today and it was a bit chilly. i didn't want to burn so i put sunscreen on and not sure if i got any color! looking forward to meeting eveyone, however we will not be doing the gift bags. recieved the confirmation for laura's teen cruise, today in the mail. it says we sail at 4pm. does anyone know if that is correct. ? is the dis meet still at 3 pm? and what time would the orange life boat drill be? ordered shoes from chadwicks. they came in and fit!! siz 5 1/2 is hard to find! dh shoe size 14 eee is hard to find too! he's still looking for flip flops. well see ya soon lisa

Hi Clarissa,

I won't be on the cruise, but I'd be happy to mail it to you. If you pm me, I can zoom it to the post office tomorrow. Or, you could wait until the 2nd when you get to meet Besty. Betsy and Wendy (along with their families) are so nice.

I'll be thinking of you guys on the 2nd :)

Deb

Okay everyone regarding raffle/gift bags - now I am confused  .

I am assuming this is for the younger kids with of course the parents willing to participate to buy something small. I am thinking kids 14 and under might participate - give or take a year. I have one 12 yr. old dd who will participate so I am buying one gift bag (I bought an extra one - actually - I have one boy, one girl bag). Everyone buys the # of bags to match their number of children participating.

Chelsea - not sure if you would want to participate. Just in case you do - fun anyway :teeth: - you would buy one bag for you and your friend if she wants to participate - Please we went to the dollar tree store - something $2 - $3.

Amy - you have four children - I am hoping you are bringing four bags - please don't tell me 40-50 bags (you are too sweet/kind :flower: - not because I don't want to shop for someone else - but I don't think that I have room for all this and this can cost $40 - $100 if you spend a dollar or two for each bag.

This will be more like a grab bag? How would the raffle work? I know Wendy was also confused - please if I am not thinking this properly - I apologize :sad2:

Bear with me........rmember, I teach 6 year olds. We keep things simple!

I understand I buy 2 gift bag..........(1 for DD and 1 for DS, right????)

However, should they relate to DS and DD's ages? Am I making one for another 10 year old girl and one for a 13 year old boy? THIS has me confused!!!!! :confused3

Cruise nazi.........now laundry nazi!!! People will start to think my head also spins around, and I spew green gunk! (think EXORSIST!)

Fran
:teacher:

WE made gift bags regardless, I think we should do an older one not just for little kids for everyone like Amy J said! It's more fair, I think we spent to much tho! O, well I dunno!?! Well who ever wants to do the old kids/ adults trade lets do it! We could spend a little more ya know! WEll tell me your thoughts! What were you thinking Amy J? WDW1014? We could do our own trade if people only want to do a kiddie one!
Like Secret santa!!!!

xoxoxo,
Chelsea

I KNEW I could confuse you all!!! :rotfl2: That wasn't even too difficult. I guess I still have the "gift".
OK ...Now, I'm bringing a little something for the kiddies that will be totally separate from the gift exchange. I'll hand these out starting with the youngest and stop when I run out (about 45 bags). (Let's just say I visited the Oriental Trading Company they have cheap, cute totally frivolous goodies so I found some fun things to put the little ones in a festive mood) Now for the gift exchange..I will have 4 bags because I have 4 kids. Anything they get in their bags will be fine with them. (Just as long as they get a bag) I think it is impossible to be age appropriate for all the kids involved so if we just keep it kid friendly we should all be safe!! My kids will probably have fun switching all the stuff between themselves and it usually workds out in the end...plus mom is bringing stuff I know they will like. So now did I confuse the rest of you who weren't confused before??!! A person has to have a goal in life!! Amy :rotfl2: :flower:

For the gift bag I bought a few small items at the dollar store. I got things that boys or girls, aged about 5-12, but possibly anyone, would (hopefully) like. I am making one bag since I have one child. Would you like it labeled by age range, gender, or anything, or just take it pot luck?

I think you pretty much have to go by age range rather than specific ages because there may not be another child of your child's age and gender (we have the only 10 y.o. DS that I know of). We could do gender specific bags and mark them, but I didn't do that.

It would be fun for the teens and adults to participate, if they want. Do we do a separate bag for the older folks (meaning about 15/16 and up)? I'm in favor of that. I like Amy's idea of doing something that sort of represents where we are from. I was thinking along those lines already.

So, someone make a decision and let us know what it is. (Did I already mention that I am decision-making-impaired?) And if no one else decides, I'll just bring two older kid/adult-type bags to trade with anyone else who brings them too.

Betsy

Betsy, I knew I could count on you to add to the confusion of all of us confused, decision making impaired, overplanners. (Just kidding!!) I'm making my bags good for kid or adult. I think my head will explode if I have to come up with separate kid/adult bags. Anyone else care to add to the confusion. LOL Amy  :flower:
