Oops, we've been pushed to the bottom of the page.

Bought ds a pirate costume. Got him a size he can use to dress up in and possibly for our next cruise. Bought it in May, tried it on the other day. No pants. Jeez.

In case anybody wanted to know, my (like I want them) termites went back into their hole and died. YEA!!! I'm still getting the chills.

Eww, eww, eww.......... (sitting here scratching while typing) :scared1: .........yes, I really did want to know how this turned out for you. Glad they died in their hole too......would hate to think of you having to clean up a bunch of dead termites!!!!! My parent's house had a termite infestation many years ago, but we never actually saw them, just their little trails........... Makes my skin crawl just thinking about it! :crazy2:

OK, better thoughts. It's getting close people!! We're in the homestretch now!! :beach: Castaway Cay, here we come!!

Good morning everyone! It's going to be a HOT day here in Omaha, just in time for the College World Series to start. :woohoo:

We are getting close Nancy! 2 weeks from today we will be getting ready to leave for Orlando! :cool1: I'm starting to reduce my stress slowly but surely. :Pinkbounc I took care of a bunch of things yesterday while Jess was at Sylvan. Everything I needed to do was out in that area. The only thing I didn't get was dog food. I went to Petco, and earlier in the week they had someone moving a pallet with the fork lift, and they hit a water pipe, and it took out all of my dog food! :sad2: So, I can drive all the way across town, or wait to see if they have more come in on the truck next week. I think we can wait.

In case anybody wanted to know, my (like I want them) termites went back into their hole and died. YEA!!! I'm still getting the chills.

I'm glad to hear this! EEEWWW!!!! It's Friday!!! :cheer2:

Wow Lisa! You got a lot done yesterday! I won't be off work until the week we leave! I'm off early enough in the afternoon to take advantage of it most days. I'm dreading my walk today. It was horribly humid and warm when I left for work at 5:20 this morning. I will be off at 11:00 today, so I will be doing that first! I only have a few things on the list today. :teeth: Better get my billing done so I can get out of here today! :cool1:

Congrats to your step-daughter!!

Glad the buggies are history---may they RIP! LOL!

My dd last project went to school today. Yeah. My end of school countdown has begun. I can't wait until I don't have to get up early anymore. (Do I sound like a teenager or what?!) I think I like no school better than they do. No schedules to keep, no homework to check, no lunches to be made.

Of course, my own bug guy came out yesterday when I was gone. We have been seeing loner ants around--small ones and the big ones. He came and sprayed. Of course, when I talked to him last night, he said he accidentally forgot to spray the one room I was seeing them in. He apologized because he has been SICK with a fever and chills and his mind isn't all there!! It took all I had not to scream at him that I'd rather have the ants in my house than a sick person less than 2 weeks before I cruise!!!!! OK--I am calm. A complete lysol can will be used!

A busy weekend here. My dh isn't getting a present---I've agreed to take our boat out for the first time this summer. Seeing as I have like nothing to do----NOT!! But, no, I am the good wife and will give him what he most wants this weekend---and we'll go out on the boat as well for father's day. HEEHEE!! Oh am I in a weird mood. I think it is TGIF mentallity.

Ok--gonna go get a shower and entertain my youngest.

Catch ya later.

Deb

Wow Deb, I can't believe your kids are still in school, when do they go back??

We haven't treated our house for termites, I know the neighbors have them and I've seen the swarm termites over here. But I'd rather spend my money on Disney! I won't be saying that when the house crumbles one day

We just packed my DS for Scout camp for next week, how exactly will I get all the clothes washed and packed when he returns??? I have an in-service on Monday of that following week and we're heading out on Tuesday!! OK-who did the planning here?? :rolleyes1

I'm a list maker too (to the extreme!), I'll need to re-do them a bit to calm myself done and know that I will get it all done with time to spare if I REMAIN CALM!! :Pinkbounc

WOW-I was dreaming of breakfast at Topsiders this morning as I was eating my cereal here today! I'm so ready to go!!

We're going to see Cars tonight--Everyone have a great weekend!! Michelle

I can't believe it's soooo close. Just getting ready to pack my "mailing box". DH almost peed when he saw how much we're mailing. Lots of "cousin" gifts for the kids. I told him to look at everything and only 25% is coming home with us--maybe.

DS graduates kindergarten on the 21st :sad2: :sad1: :(  I bawled at the mother's day presentation the class made. I'm gonna need 2 packs of tissues for this one. His last day is the 22nd. Need to buy teacher gifts from ds and from the class (head class mom-- )

Lands End bathing suit that I absolutely love and just bought in April... leg is unraveling. They don't make it in the color/size anymore--figures.

It's going to hit the high 80's here--finally. And 90+ father's day. I guess the midwest got the heat earlier than us. Aunt and Cousins on cruise coming from Dallas--100's this week. Can't imagine it.

Congratulations on the pinning!!! It must be great to have a nurse in the family. Our family has many different jobs, but nothing that can really benefit us. Like a TA or a Continental pilate. DH and I worked for Disney for quite a few years, but it was too much. We miss the 35% off, $500 7 night DCL trips, etc. OH well.

Thanks for the congrats! We are very proud of her! She WAS a police officer so we're VERY happy she's left that for a nursing career! We'll feel much safer..although her husband is still in law enforcement and my dad was for many, many, many years, I'm pretty used it it but I don't think her mom ever liked the idea!
I'm a TA and believe me, not many benefits anymore! WAY different than way back when I started...in my late teens :sad2: !
But I'll take what I can get! Can't think of anything else I'd rather do so I think this must have been my calling in life! :rotfl: :surfweb:

MrShiny---have fun!! Save some energy for the cruise though!

My kids go back a few days before Labor day. We moved towns and school districts---so they will get out a week earlier next year.

I love lists. Write almost my complete packing list out a few days prior. Number of shorts, shirts, etc. cross off as I pack. This year--I will do well just to get everything in one house. Just realized the suitcases are all in the attic of the house we are selling. So is my "formal" dress. Still haven't found my little fanny pack I like to wear around the boat. I know they are out of "style" but this one is soooo convenient, I carry it over my shoulder like a mini backpack. I bought it at Universal Studios and I am due for another one. Hope they still have them. Did I tell you guys that one year I left all my daughters' swimsuits at home when we cruised last? Had my mother overnight them to the hotel while purchasing another one to use at the hotel pool. Any savings from getting them at Costco was quickly eaten up. Yikes.

Hang in there Deb! It will all come together. My lists have saved me! When I went to the doctor today, my blood pressure was 104/64! Wow, who knew what a list could do! I followed my lists the last few days, and it's great! Of course, the side effect of this cruise is that it's making me obsessive compulsive! :lmao:

Patti

I love lists. Mainly because I have the brain retention of a sponge since having ds. I have my huge "to do" lists and then individual days as they pop up. I had to add "get passports and money" to my list. Yea!!! That means we're creeping up on "the day".

I get 6 days of sleeping late after ds's end of school and when we leave for the cruise. Getting my hair done 6/30 and I can get 2 good days if I don't go swimming. I feel like the old ladies that go for their perm every week for the two hairs on their head. Mani/pedi/waxing on 6/29. :sad2:

Just tested out all our Costco snorkel gear to make sure we're up and running. We're A-OK.

I posted something to the forum you guys might be able to help with. A question about Continental Airlines. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi all. It's been months that I've posted here because we have been busy packing and unpacking an entire house along with a basement and garage full of boxes from previous moves, ughhhhh. We moved Memorial Weekend and finally got the computers hooked up and realized I never booked Palo or excursions. I'm very bummed :( Anyway, is there going to be a sail away party where we can all meet? My ds 13 and dd 16 would love to meet some friends for the trip! (sorry, I don't have time to page thru this thread because I have to start packing!!! OYE!)

Anyone have a nice list of items not to forget?

Thanks ya'll.

Hi Laura! You DO need a vacation!
Yes, there is a cruise meet but I'll have to go back and see when/where! PATTI you are in charge of reminding me!! ;)
DD15 would love to meet your daughter, sounds like there are alot of girls in that age range so we need to make sure they all come to the meet with us!

OMG I can't believe we'll all be on the ship 2 weeks from today! So excited to meet everyone!!

Ok, here is what Deb posted. Glad we put her in charge of making this decision!
:thumbsup2
I say after safety drill on starboard side on the level above the sailaway party.

I also can't wait to meet everyone! Of course, you guys are giving me nightmares about cell phone bills and boyfriends! :scared1:

Patti

Hey there everyone!! :wave2: So excited we sail in two weeks! We actually leave for WDW in 11 days........going into final detail frenzy here! Thank HEAVENS for lists! :thumbsup2

Melissa came home this morning, tired but she had a blast. Actually, after a week of "freedom" on her own, I am not sure she wanted to come home at all! ;) So, Lisa you will relate to this, DBF is now over visiting. It was reaaall important to see him you know!!

So, Dis Meet sailaway party: please pardon a Dis Meet newbie here for a really dumb question, but how will we recognize each other? Are we doing the lime green Mickeys for identification (got mine!!). I guess I could just look for the group with all those teenage girls, and the moms who have that "thank God this vacation's finally here" look on their face!! :rotfl:

Just checked NASA's website and there is an update today: launch time is scheduled for July 1 at 3:48 p.m. It no longer says "tentative".......

Of course a lot can still change, but it is looking better and better all the time!!

Nancy- That's exactly how our evening was when Alexa got home! Never mind mom and dad, just get the DBF over here!! :rotfl2:
Also, I'll have on a Kansas State University shirt so you may spot me that way! I know Patti will have on her Nebraska Cornhusker shirt!
Now my sisters will also have on KSU so you'll just have to figure out which one is me! ;)

Okay, so how will traffic for the launce affect the drive to PC? Anyone know?
I hear that highway can be awful on a launch day! :confused3
