Wow Deb, you have a busy week ahead of you! In order to feel like I have some control over this chaos I have going on here, I started my daily To Do lists for today thru the 29th. I actually feel better, slightly less stressed. :lmao: I know, how weird. Once I get it laid out by the day so I can see what needs to be done, then I feel better about it. Control! :lmao: I also just talked to the dog sitter and his mom, and that is going to be fine! :thumbsup2 He's a nice kid. They are going to come out next week, meet the dogs, and get the lay of the house, responsibilities, etc. That just reminded me, I need to add dog food to the list. :rotfl2:

Here is hoping for at least another good hour of work today! Ha! :rotfl:

Patti

Patti- Okay you made me feel ALOT better with your pet story!! :rotfl2:

And that's an excellent idea of making a DAILY list! My list is so long now with no organization! I might have to give that a try! When/If I find time!!! :guilty:
Of course I find time to post on this thread now don't it!!!! :teeth:

Ok--got my docs this morning. They were waiting on the stoop of my old house when I got there. Also checked in online and faxed my dh the form you need to print out. My printer isn't hooked to the puter that is online.

May actually get warm here this weekend. We've been hanging in the upper 60's/low 70's. Maybe 90 on Sunday. That will get me in the mood.

Patti--I can't believe we are actually going to vacation together. LOL!! Vegas that one year was strange to see someone you know so well but never met. Hey--I can't wait to meet your WHOLE family. Then when you tell me stories about them--I'll know. HEEHEE

ok--gotta keep cleaning.

That's why I come to work! I can always seem to find time to do the stuff I need to do here! :lmao: I can't imagine my boss would be very thrilled to know that, but that's ok too! :rotfl:

My thoughts exactly!!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the animal stories--priceless. My ds5 is asking for a brother, sister, dog, fish, etc. He's not getting any of them. This just really reinforces it.

17 days -- will we survive?

Did you read the DISer that has a cap on her DCL talk? I couldn't bear it. :sad2:

Then the DISer that wanted to know what might be playing on her 2008/2009 new years cruise... :lmao:

Ok, question for any frugal (cheap) people on our cruise. We are sharing a room at the Hyatt with my parents. I figure 4 adults and five year old don't need 2 rooms for the sleeping hours we'll be there (parents land at 6:30, we land at 9:30).

The question is.... Will we have a hard time getting to the room? Security, etc? I've heard you need a card to get to the elevator, but I figure DM & DF could come down for us. Jeez I feel cheap. More money to spend on my photos.

Sheila-We leave on Thursday June 29th! OMG :teeth: 2 weeks from tomorrow!!!!

Nancy-Oh my! Melissa and Alexa sound like the same child as far as the cell phone/texting goes! I'm sure they can't imagine how we old folks EVER lived without cell phones!!
I'll wait for YOU to decide about the unlimited internet!! :rotfl:

Thanks Lisa!! :lmao: I think I will see whether Melissa has any money left, after paying for her cell phone bill, when she returns on Saturday! Because I will only do the unlimited if she splits the cost, since I surely won't be using it that much!!!! :rotfl: Talked to her tonight a bit: she sounds tired, and for the first time, maybe missing home a bit. At least, I think she is missing the food, LOL, sounds like the food has not been the greatest! We certainly miss her....it is so QUIET! :sad2:

Sheila, we leave in two weeks, on the morning of the 28th. Oh, just can't wait now!! :Pinkbounc

And Patti, meet another list maker here. :wave2: Keeps me sane!!! ;)

My dh thinks I'm losing it! I told him how stressed I was yesterday, and how I felt much better after making my daily lists. He looked at me like I told him I was leaving him for a Martian! :lmao: I'm still really stressed, but working on it. I came in and realized there were 2 important things on yesterdays list that didn't get done. :furious: Ok, I just ran home :drive: to get what I needed, and that is now off the list!

Man--I am still trying to get through the school end. We don't get out until the 23rd. We had the science fair last night and friday is a major project due for my oldest. Don't they know I have a cruise to plan for!!!!!???? Gees.

This weekend, we are working on shoes. Everyone needs water shoes, flip flops, etc. It will be a shoe extravaganza! Next week, I have to dig out everyone's clothes. Put things out, try things on, etc.

May I suggest that everyone confirm all their hotel reservations, car rentals, etc in the next week. Ask for any early check ins if necessary. All flights are leaving at the same time and everyone has seat assignments. Jetblue already changed mine once. We make copies of our passports and itineraries. We leave one set for my parents and we take one with us. Oh yeah, you all know that the safe requires a magnetic card to lock and unlock. Problem is the magnetic card will usually end up damaged by the end of the cruise. We use any old hotel key that we have from the few days before the cruise. Also, the same card is needed to open that closed it.

Sorry--woke up at 2:30 this morning and never got back to sleep. A nap is in my immediate future. Don't mean to sound like a mother.

Vegas was fun! It was fun to meet everyone face to face! The only one I haven't met is Mel. I'm glad you suggested we go with you on this cruise! I can't wait!! :sail: Only 15 more days until we leave! I have SO much to do in those days, but in the end, it will be fine. :hourglass

I haven't been sleeping well. Getting up at 4:20-4:30 every day! I've been coming in early every day saving up time for the days I need to get off early. Unfortunately, I can't add any more time to my last day, I'm only here 3 hours that day! :woohoo:

It's going to be HOT here today! I think it will cool off some tomorrow, and be upper 80's over the weekend, but then as the CWS gets in full swing, highs close to 100! Every year this happens! :confused3

Today is a busy day for us. Jess has a dr appt at 2:00, then starts at Sylvan Learning Center at 4:30 for 2 hours. It's close to Kohls, the place I buy dog food, and a Husker store, etc. I can finish up a lot of my errands while she's out there! :woohoo:

I better get some of that work stuff done. I've been here for almost 2 hours and have accomplished 1 very small task! :sad2:

LOL on the school not taking your vacation planning into account! I can't figure out why they are still in school at the end of June! When do they go back? Heck, mine will almost be back in before yours get out! :lmao:

Glad you reminded me about the key. I will dig up something. If nothing else, I will keep our key from the Hyatt and use that.

Can you nap for me today too? :rotfl2: I could sure use it! :surfweb:

This is the Hyatt at the airport? We stayed there one night before the cruise and I don't remember having to have a key for the elevator - but that was a few years ago so maybe things have changed. I remember going right up and to the room. And one of the nice things was that they have a deal with Disney so you tag your luggage, you leave it outside your door by a certain time Sat morning and they take it for you - you see it again in your room on the cruise.

Nancy, when Brianna went to DC, she did find after a few days that she missed us too!!! :) It is a great week for them, they have a wonderful time but in the end, they're glad to be back home

Patti, we're expecting a hot and muggy weekend too. But for us, it's welcome....we've been having inches and inches of rain, bad floods in some areas (not us, thankfully) but you just feel awful for what some people go through. :sad2: Our pool has been uncovered since the first week in May and we haven't been in it yet.

A few posts ago we were talking about the internet and using laptops (of course I can't find it now) - someone mentioned the cost of unlimited......not sure if I understood correctly - is there a different charge if you use your own laptop v DCL's computers?

Today is Brianna & Kacey's first day of finals - they each have 2 today, Kacey has 2 tomorrow and they each have 2 of Monday.....then they're done :thumbsup2

pixiedust: Here is some pixie dust for the girls and their finals! I'm sure they will be excited to be finished!

I think the wireless package is more than the regular internet package. I will have to go back and check that. We may want to upload pictures, which is why we would use our own.

Patti

Thanks Patti - the girls are definitely ready for summer :sunny:

Let me know if you find something about the internet situation - I was thinking about the pics too, the girls will most likely want to "empty" their cameras so they can take more pics :)

Ok, here's something to make YOUR day seem better. We have a spare 1/2 bath by our FL room (sunroom). Had termite treatment June 2. Go to use the restroom and sitting there looking at the floor with CRAWLING TERMITES---ACK. Hole they treated termites--SWARMING. I finish (screaming all the time, mind you) and run out of the room. Grab the warranty out of the files, wash my shaking hands and call the people back. They keep saying "calm down, calm down" (I sounded like they were counselors at the suicide hotline) and that it was a post-treatment swarm. Wish they told me about this ahead of time. Waiting for a call for them to come back. They said they'll die in a few hours--I'M SKEEVED. I keep itching thinking about it.

ACK.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

OH by the way YEA!!! we made it to the top!!!

Patti, did you get your documents?

EEEEWWWW!!!! :scared1: Way better you than me! Why would they not tell you about the post treatment swarm?? :sad2: I would freak!

My TA's home office has them. I just sent her an email for an update on the whereabouts of said documents. Here response will be shut up, and relax, I'm handling it. :lmao: She's a friend, so I guess I could let her get away with that. :teeth:

I'm itching right along with you  Wouldn't you think they would have given you that important info about the "post-treatment swarm" when they did the initial treatment???

OH by the way YEA!!! we made it to the top!!! -What does this mean?

Where did everyone go today? I actually got some work done! :woohoo: I'm sure my boss will be thrilled. :teeth:

I did errands so I was out a bit. DS comes home around 3. His swim instructor comes here during the summer (instead of giving the YMCA a cut she gets the money) and I have to make sure they use the upstairs--bug-free bathroom.

We made it to the top of the page instead of scrolling way down or possibly to the second page.
