JULY 19 Cruisers- Less than 3 WEEKS now Yipee!

My DD10 is still looking for a pen-pal. Are there any DD10s out there who would like to meet through email before sailing on July 19th?

Kraig,
I booked our DD13 on the Teen Fury excursion becasue she wanted me to. I figured we can cancel it up to 2 days before sailing if she changes her mine. She is looking forward to Common Grounds. We have been on five other Disney cruises but this is the first time she will be with the teens and not in the lab.

Great, so I see you have it all planned out. Tell your daughter that Common Grounds is SO much fun!!! The counselors are awesome. When I went last time, they were so cool. My bro and I would go and hang out there all the time. I plan on spending more time there. It is definitly a step up from the Lab. I still talk with a couple of girls from my last cruise that I met at CG. She will have a blast!!

debkay - my dd is also 13 and is booked for the Teen Fury too. She already has an email from another teen that will be on the cruise but if your dd would like to email her PM me and I'll give you her email addy. She hasn't had a chance to get on yet but hopefully tonight or tomorrow night she can and respond to the emails.

bothofus,

Just checking to see if you received my email. Please let me know.

Thanks!

We got our confirmed excursion reservation in today's mail. Anyone else get theirs?

December99, I sent a PM to you giving you my DD13 email address for your daughter to contact her. Glad there is another 13 year old on the Fury Teen Cruise.

I booked the Teen for Fury for 2 of my sons and the Stingray City Snorkel Trip. We have a FAX so they faxed the confirmation to me right away. My boys have been on the Teen Dance Cruise 2 times before and said it was fun. Believe me, if they didn't like it, they wouldn't be agreeable to book it again!

tezb,
Glad to hear your sons are booked on the Teen Fury cruise in Cozumel too. How old are they? Our DD is 13.

We booked the Rum Point Beach Adventure & Stingray City Snorkel in Grand Caymen instead of The Stingray City Snorkeling Tour because the brochure said you could view the stingrays from the glassbottom boat if you didn't snorkel. My Mom is coming on the cruise with us and she doesn't snorkel so we picked that one.

We also booked the Key West Catamaran Sail & Snorkel in Key West. I think that may be a Fury excursion also. Has anyone ever taken that one?

Thanks for the count down in your signature!

DebKay, my teens are 15 and 17...I also have a pre-teen, 11 yr old but he's too young for the teen stuff. My 2nd son was 13 for our 2nd cruise and was very excited at the time to be able to go into Common Grounds. They just love the cruise as their vacation. You can still go on the Stingray Snorkel Tour w/out snorkeling. I'm not much for snorkeling either but it looks like you don't have to snorkel to be able to see or touch the Stingrays. Just wade in and see them. That's what I plan to do. I heard there are also others who just stay on the boat and observe from there but I want Disney to get some family shots of us w/ the Stingrays. Check out a recent thread entitled For Tezb. It's a picture of another Board Dis'er's dtr holding a stingray on the excursion they took. A pic that DCL took. Incredible how big and friendly they appear!

tezb,
good. I think my bro and I will do the fury catamaran cruise. I remember that's how a lot of kids met on our last cruise. we didnt book it yet though because I thought what if something happens where not a lot of kids do it or something else is going on. but I have seen a lot of people doing it so I think that we will. it sure sounds like fun.

I just booked our excursions. We will do the Glass Bottom Boat tour in Key West (and we're going to do 'touristy' things on our own afterwards); Cozumel Ruins & Beach Tour, the girls (teens) will do the Fury Catamaran Teen cruise in Cozumel; The Wild Side for the girls in Castaway Cay and also Banana Boats for them.

We wanted to do the Stingray City & Discover Caymans tour excursion in Grand Cayman, but Disney cancelled this tour -- now I have to find something else similiar to this that will also accomodate our 5 year old son :( Also, I tried to book the parasailing at Castaway Cay for DH and DD's, but it was booked for the entire day!

Well, off to do some excursion research for Grand Caymans! Thanks to all of you who have DD's and DS's emailing my DD's...it is really helping to get them more excited to cruise! If anyone else has teens that want to email with my DD's before the cruise, just PM me and I'll tell my girls! ;)

Bobbi

Bobbi,
Wow! I wonder why Disney cancelled that excursion. I hope you picked another one and can get it booked. I really like that we can pre-book excursions. It is a lot easier than the first cruise we took when we rushed around the ship the first day trying to book the spa, Palos, register the kids and get our excusion form into the box first!
I sent DD's email in a PM to you. I'll let her know she may get some emails from other teens.
51 Days to go!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Yippee! Now I don't have to worry about the excursions anymore!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I looked at some of the non-Disney stingray excursions, but we also wanted to see the turtle farms and 'hell' (not that 'hell' is a biggie, but we wanted the chance to have a picture opportunity and send it on to our church small group with a caption that reads something like "we've gone to hell". ) I know, corny:rolleyes:

I booked the Island Tour and Snorkel with stingray tour. Hopefully, we'll enjoy this one...:smooth:

Thanks for the suggestions on other Grand Cayman excursions!

Bobbi

glad you're squared away on excursions.

by the way, do you happen to be doing the Swim w/the Dolphins in Coz ???

I love your "Go to Hell" idea!!!!! heheheheheh!!! TTYL

catjammies!

Hi Catjammies -- no, we are not doing the dolphin excursion in Cozumel. We chose the Cozumel Ruins & Beach Tour. When we chose to do a cruise, we chose the Western cruise because of Cozumel and its Mayan ruins. Sticking to our original purpose, we booked this tour. :D

I have read both good & bad things about the San Gervasio (?) ruins, but figured that we'd give them a try and judge for ourselves...;) Besides, it looked like an excursion that my 5 year old son and his teen sisters could 'tolerate'.

The teens will then be going on the Fury Catamaran Teen cruise while DH, DS, and I recuperate on the ship!:smooth:

Bobbi

ROFL Bobbi....we were also hoping dd would want to do the Fury so that dh and I could go back on the ship and recoup from the Tulum tour we are going to do (we aren't doing the beach one I don't think) and go to dinner at Palo that night if we can get ressies.

She is also doing the Wild Side at CC and her and I are gonna try parasailing....   :D

Bobbi,
While our DD is on the Teen cruise, we plan to visit Carlos & Charlies to see what everyone is talking about. We will recoup the next day while at sea. Of course that is after dance class!
Glad you got your last excursion booked.

DD sent out her first emails to the girls last night. Hope they got them. She's getting very excited now that she will get to "know" some of the girls before she goes!!!!! Thanks for that suggestion of them doing this.

We are booked for the July 19 Western Cruise. We have a DD14 and a DD10. They would love to hear from others around their age. We will be sailing with another family with DD13 and DD10. I am counting down the days!

My DH and I and our twin daughters, age 4 and inlaws and DH's sister will be on the July 19th cruise. Cant wait! :)
