July 18 Tortola cruise part 3

The picture of Figment has got to be in Downtown Disney...I just can't figure out where...it is not in the Christmas Shoppe, wondering if it is in that toy store (next to EoS)????????:confused3:confused3

Here's a closer picture of Ice Gator. :)

It's actually Ice Gator from Blizzard Beach, and the window is a display from Once Upon A Toy... Most of the display is made up of toy parts. :)

Wow I never noticed it. That's what so wonderful about WDW, the little details that no matter how many times you visit, there's always more to see.
Thanks!

Guess what i got over the weekend. A new little furbaby. Went in to petsmart for a dog bone and came out with that and a five week old kitten. A local agency runs adoptions out of there stores. She is so cute and fluffy and it's nice to have something fluffy to love on again.

New school year starts next Tuesday got my class info today. I've changed my mind about my kids going on to K. This next year is going to be lots of fun.

How wonderful! Don't forget to post pics!!!! What did you name it?
How did you make out with your tests? We were worried about you.

We named the kitten Lilly. I'll post pics soon.

Talked to a nurse today. One test came back normal the other did not but it was a horrible cell phone connection so i could not really understand what she was saying. I've got an apt. on the 8th of next month so I guess I'll find out then.

Please keep us posted. And don't forget to post a picture of Lilly!

Hi everyone!

We arrived safely in Kampala last Sunday evening. It's taken a while to try and get settled (not there yet, honestly), but at least we now have an internet connection - albeit via a slow cell phone.

No pics yet - I can't believe Aaron hasn't been taking any photos yet, but it's been a bit stressful. Hopefully soon.

Tomorrow is the first day of school and the girls are excited and VERY nervous. We did get to meet their teachers on Friday morning briefly, but not really any classmates. So tomorrow will be a very big day.

Will post pics soon! Hope everyone is doing well.

Joann

So glad you arrived home safely! I hope the girls had a good first day of school.

Thanks!

How true! We watched the Japanese candy making at Epcot for the first time last month. It was so interesting. In all the trips to WDW we didn't even know it was there until my son's girlfriend told us.

One of our friends from the Med Cruise, Andrew (many of you know him -AndrewDerekUK) is on that cruise. Hope it all goes well. We were really lucky with our "Tropical Wave" near Tortola. The seas must be really rough in that area for them to reroute. It is probably rough on the Western too as one storm is set for the Panhandle. August and cruising :scared1:

Andrew was on our 2006 cruise.

I'm melting. My DD has HS soccer tryouts at 2:30 - 4:30 every afternoon. I don't know how she does all that running? I miss the wonderful July weather we had. Oh well, this too shall pass hopefully before I turn into a big puddle. At least the AC is still working $$$$$.

Off to Boston to visit DS. A little worried about Hurricane Bill. Chances are good he'll just produce rain. Hope it isn't too heavy. We were hoping to enjoy the city a little.

My youngest DD is at preseason training at Drexel in the worst weather we have had all summer.........

Best wishes to Maryann and family on your visit to Boston this weekend.....the ocean was intense today.......:confused3

I have the pictures from our cruise on my website. Click the "Pictures" link in my signature.

Lauren and I are heading to FL in the morning for a quick trip. We're planning on watching the shuttle launch...

Hey Gang!

Sorry I haven't been on here lately. Since I was on last, I went right into professional development training for two days then we started school! I had students for four days this week and was TOTALLY EXHAUSTED every night! :sad2:But, it's going well.

Glad to hear everyone is well and that JoAnn #2 is safely in Kampala.

I do have a question for the Floridians of the group. Mark is speaking twice at a conference at the Gaylord Palms. On Sept. 10th. shortly after lunch I land at MCO to hear him speak one of the times. Unfortunately, my flight arrives in the middle of one of the times he is in conference. I will need to take a cab from MCO to the Gaylord. Anyone have any idea how much that is going to cost? :confused3 I really DO NOT want to take one of those shuttle things. They stop at 100 hotels and pack them in! :scared1:

Greg, I thought that shot of the gator might be the window of WOD when I looked at it.....

Looking forward to a few days at WDW and WITHOUT CHILDREN!!!!!:woohoo:

I'm sorry, this isn't a typical comment (lol):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So, on Sept. 10th, I'll be recovering from BTSN and YOU'LL BE IN WDW! Some thing is wrong with this picture!:worship:

Just back from the hospital. My mother fell last night and broke her hip. So we are now waiting to see when her surgery will be. I'm very tired.
