July 18 Tortola cruise part 3

:rotfl:

I'm sorry, this isn't a typical comment (lol):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So, on Sept. 10th, I'll be recovering from BTSN and YOU'LL BE IN WDW! Some thing is wrong with this picture!:worship:

I am not, nor have ever claimed to be NORMAL!!!! :lmao::lmao:

Hi Everyone!

So I drove for the first time here today! Sunday there's not a lot of traffic. The other days of the week, traffic is VERY difficult and dangerous. Hopefully after a few days though, I'll be okay. We don't have our car yet, so I'm borrowing a friend's. At least it's an old junker, so if I do have a fender bender, no one will notice! :lmao: (She's already had three!)

Just back from the hospital. My mother fell last night and broke her hip. So we are now waiting to see when her surgery will be. I'm very tired.

Oh, I am soooo sorry! Prayers with all of you.

School starts tomorrow for DD and I....

I hope I am ready... I think I am ready.....

Wait... where did summer go????

Next Cruise (RCCL):
1 years, 4 months and 3 days.
490 days.
11,760 hours.
705,600 minutes.
42,336,000 seconds.

Finally after a ton of testing and months later I finally get an answer about what is going on with my stomach. I have Chron's disease my Dr said we would go everything on the 8th but at least now I know what's wrong and it is treatable.

Lissa

Absolutely treatable. At least you'll get a list of what to or not to eat. You should feel better soon, although it does flare up now and again. :hug:

Ok, this is it.......school in less than 12 hours............:hug:

Good Luck tomorrow JoAnn #1!!!!!:hug::hug:

HEY FLORIDIANS! Let me know about how much you think that taxi ride from MCO to Gaylord Palms is going to cost me!!!! I leave in 17 days!!!!:yay::yay::yay::yay:

Mom had surgery Sunday afternoon. Yesterday they got her up and she walked from the bed to the door. They are saying she may go to rehab tomorrow for about a week. I'm just afraid for her to be alone in her house anymore. There are lots of stairs. I'm hoping she will stay with us a little while after rehab but we have stairs too.

It's incredible how fast they make them get up. It really does speed the healing and prevents blood clots. If I were you, I wouldn't let them release her from rehab until she was well enough to be on her own. Talk to the social worker in the rehab place. I wouldn't mention that she will stay with you for a while. They tend to send them home quicker if someone will take care of them at home. Then if she never gets to the point she can be back on her own, it's not their problem anymore and you have to hire someone privately. Even though I'm sure she'll want to come home quickly, and you want her to as well, don't rush it. In rehab she'll have physical therapy every day, at home maybe 3 times per week. If she goes home alone, they can't, by law, release her until she is either fit to be alone, or has an aide to help her. Find out all your options. Call her insurance company as well to see what they'll cover. Good luck with this.

Sorry, I just don't know -- we never take taxis from the airport to hotels! It's about $60 to our house from the airport, and we're 20 -30 minutes from the airport.

I would call the Gaylord Palms and ask them -- they would know best.

The Orlando airports website says it's $43-$75 from MCO to Kissimmee, which is probably about right.

Glad to see you are seeing the sights. Don't forget to remind Aaron to post pics!

I'm bugging him. He said, "I don't have anything to take pictures of - we don't have our stuff yet."

Umm - hello - people don't care what our STUFF looks like - they want to know what Kampala looks like! :headache: You know the fantastic view of the city that we have from the balcony, or the Ibis that wake us up at 3am every morning making that horrible racket in the garden, or the flood the other day when the only road connecting our neighborhood to the rest of the city was under 3.5 feet of water! You know, the fun stuff! :scared1:

We did get 1st day of school pictures, so I'll try and get him to post those soon.

JoAnn, I hope your 1st day went well! Welcome back to school! :hug:

Great to hear from you, JoAnn #2. Yes, that's exactly it, we'd love to see pics of the area,and of the girls, of course. Don't forget to change your location on your User CP page. It will finally be a place we can pronounce!!! :goodvibes

Yes, hope you had a great first day, JoAnn #1! :wizard:

On an extremely somber note, a friend of mine passed away after a routine surgery due to an unexpected blood clot when she fell.........so unexpected! So I think Maryann is right and has had a lot of experience with this stuff. GL with your mom and keep us posted!:hug:

Yes, tell Aaron, we want to see everything!!

My first day was excellent, crazy right! I had a new projector installed while I was at a meeting and despite the heat, a lot of work was accomplished. The AC in the staff room was miraculously fixed after being broken for two years......weird, right? :rolleyes1Did I mention that we have a new principal?:woohoo:
