Ok, here's the most recent info on the day charters.......

After talking to my DH, we've decided to go with the Kuralu day sail trip to Jost Van ****. The price is about $90pp give or take $10, I'm still working on this one. I've asked if we should just make one stop to White Bay Beach (home of Soggy Dollar Bar and a beautiful beach) or if we could also go to Great Bay. They're getting back to me tonight. I think it includes transportation, soft drinks, beer and lunch (I have to double check on that but I should know tonight.) I know some of us expressed interest but that was back when we were talking about the Baths. I'll have more info tonight but please PM me if you're interested b/c there's only 20 people maximum.

We've also decided to go St. John for the day to snorkel. It will cost between $50 - $70 to include ferry shuttle to St. John, snorkel equipment and snorkeling on the north side of the island. This one has a maximum of 28 people for two boats, about 14 each and includes only soft drinks and beer.

If anyone is interested in either of these trips please PM me with a total number of people and whether or not you need snorkel equipment for the St. John trip. I will share more info as I get it.

Hello, the is newbie Strawberry Rubia, aka Michaele [Mykal-EE]. Is your snorkel trip to St. John a DCL excursion or a private company. My husband and I are scuba divers. I'm just now researching dive companies. Did yours cater to divers as well.

Hi Everyone! This is our first time to post We have been following the thread for months and finally could not resist getting in on the conversation. I think we are officially addicted to at least reading daily. My sister (Charleen) has posted a few times on our entire groups behalf. So, we are already on the FE exchange list.

You guys are a fun group and we are getting so excited for the cruise. It is our first Disney Cruise with our DS(Jacob 9) and DD(Abigail 6). I hope to meet some of you at the meets so the kids can meet others their age.

So....the FE has been ordered, FE gifts are in process and the shirts have arrived. Thanks Virgil for such a great shirt design. We loved it so much my DH(Stan) and I had to have 2, one with the date and one without. In response to the above question, the one with the date does have a light gray block, even on a white shirt.

I think July 1st is a great date to cut off FE's. I'm sure anyone joining at that time would understand. As someone said, it would be hard for them to gather over 35 FE gifts at that time.

I just got my grab bag gift today for our Meet. It's a mix of NYC and Long Island where we live. Hope whomever gets it, likes it!

There is one stateroom on the FE list that still does not have a number, it's for Jenny & Mark in Indiana. I also don't have a screen name for them. Does anyone know them?

I feel the same way about not wanting to stop the FEs - - as said, the more the merrier! At the same time though, there does come a point where I think it's fair and reasonable to say "when," and this seems to be a very practical suggestion. It might even make sense to cut it off a day or two BEFORE the date the first person is leaving for this trip just in case that day (the first person's departure day) brings an unexpected (and large) surge in additions to the FE list.

As for the Magic docking at Castaway Cay, I'm fuzzy on specific cruise dates at the moment, but would swear that we've docked one way on one cruise and the other on a different cruise, and that it was definitely weather-related.

I thought about mailing our FE gifts too but realized I needed to make sure I had space for the new things to get home in my suitcase. I have spatial relationship problems anyway.

I've also planned for 36 people. I don't know what I would do with half of it? Ebay? Maybe I can start a business of making FE gifts for other cruisers to give out?

I agree that there should to be a cut off for the FE. If someone is just joinging that doesn't give them much time to pull together 35 FE gifts. They could still participate in the DIS Meet grab bag exchange.

FE-I think 10 days prior to sailing would be fair because as someone else mentioned, If you were signing up that late it would be difficult to collect or make that many FE gifts not the mention the FE itself. Also the last min packing rush would not really leave any time to continue to add to your final number. Jmho

I would like to propose an FE cut off of July 1st. This is an easy date for everyone to remember and gives everyone a couple of weeks to finalize what they are doing and how they are going to get things to the ship. It will also give me time to finalize the list and email to those who want it ahead of time.

There is a chance that some stateroom numbers may change at embarkation but it will be few and easy to take care of.

Also, PLEASE review the list and make sure the information is accurate! There are some people on the list have haven't posted for awhile so I'm not sure about the info. The current list on post 1 is up to date as of Wednesday night. I will try and get another update posted tonight.

Is there anyway to verify that the people that haven't posted in a long time are still on this cruise and participating?

That would be us, leaving on July 1st. We will bring enough for 40 in the F.E.. I hope , if there is a updated room change, someone will let us know at the meet on Sunday. If something is going on Saturday, hopefully ,we will know by the time we leave. Disney World for 5 days, Universal for 4 days, then Ormond Beach until the cruise.

The best way to do this would be to send PMs to everyone who is signed up for the FE to confirm that they still plan to participate. If they don't respond by the deadline, then they could be removed from the list.

I don't want to exclude anyone, but I also don't want to stress about preparing special gifts if the individual is no longer on the cruise or forgot about the FE exchange. If someone has dropped off, this would also make it easier to accomodate last-minute additions.

July 1 is a good date for me. I don't think anyone wants the cutoff to be this Wednesday when we are actually leaving for our trip!

I've started my very last class. The day we board the ship I will be finished with my masters. I am ready to be done and take a break from school.

I'll check and let you know. What they told me was that they could do two boats....so, maybe the second boat could do dives instead of snorkeling.....

Just found out I might be getting a tour of Kennedy Space Center July 13-17th... if thats the case, I get paid to hang out in florida for a few days before the cruise leaves and the company will pay for my flights.

I think they'll keep us busy 13-16 but is anyone going to be down there the day of the 17th to give me something to do that day? My fiance, Kristin, wont be down till later that evening.
