July 18 2009 Tortola - Part 2!

We are booked on the early shuttle from the Radisson.

This trip is really starting to get stressful for me. DH booked a split stay at WDW because we bought into AKV and got developer points that had to be used this year. So we are staying 3 nights at AKV and 2 nights at SSR (our niece is joining us with her 2 kids and are staying at SSR for 2 additional nights). I'm trying to figure out breakfast and place a grocery order. DH wants eggs each morning, niece said they want cereal. I don't care which it is but with the split we need to pick one or the other. Transferring food seems too challenging to me.

Also, because of the split I wasn't able to book our ADR's for the 2 nights at SSR when I called for our other ADR's. I, of course, forgot to call back until last night. :headache: The CM I got at dining was a pill, this was the 1st time I've encountered attitude from someone at dining. So I told her I needed to rethink things and hung up. Of course I called back, sat on hold for 15 minutes and got her again. :headache::headache: We had to change our table service on Wednesday to lunch since there were no dinner ressies available anymore, and Thursday morning our character breakfast is at 8:55 which is a little later than I wanted. But then I realized I needed to pack us up before we went to breakfast because we will be checking out that day. DH is going golfing so he will be no help. :headache:

I can't wait to get on the ship. :drinking1

I finally booked my ride to the ship, I'm using "Jack" as well..........The Amazing Race 2 is on.........(what this means is, I'm challenging all of us to see who gets there first!):rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Oh, No!!! Joann #1 LOVES challenges!!!!:rolleyes1

DD (17), DD (5) - CA - Room 2635

This is our first time cruising with Disney and we are so excited. Please pass along any tips you might have so that our trip can go smoother. We're also planning on staying in Florida for 4 days after the cruise so if anyone knows of any great hotel rates or maybe a timeshare that some wants to rent out, that would be great.

Thanks from DW and DH!

Welcome Billsgirlz!! I have added you to the FE list in the 1st post. Do you want me to include names? Just let me know and I can update. You will love the cruise, this is our 5th!!

Depending on where in Florida you want to stay - you might want to check out the rent board for Disney Vacation club. You could stay at WDW or Vero Beach if someone has points for rent.

YAY! Got our cafe press stuff today. For some reason that just made the trip seem a little closer. Today at work it was a Monday and a Tuesday all rolled together. Lets just say I will be very glad to transition most of these children on to kindergarten. of course that means I'll just be getting a new batch when they leave.

JoAnn #1 - ar you going to do the Grand Gathering? We just got our confirmation letter about it. Didn't realized we'd be mailed something.

Also, a quick question - are we better off with pounds or US dollars on Tortola. I know they accept US $ but are they worth using or are pounds better. It will only be for the little stands. Our excursion is through DCL.

We've never hassled with changing money. Usually we're just grabbing a coke or something like that. If it's something big, we usually use the Visa card.

USD should be fine unless you want some "sterling" souvenirs. :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:
