No, I"m actually in Texas... we have a very good friend who lives in Florida that we want to take with us, but she will only go if it does not cost me any money, so, if Florida rates come out, I can add her and upgrade even and NOT pay any more money.....

Why is it that the school requires all text books to be back at school the week before final exams? The kids did review sheets at school but they were turned in for grades. What are they supposed to study?

finals this week, so nothing to grade until they take their tests....

Why is it that the school requires all text books to be back at school the week before final exams? The kids did review sheets at school but they were turned in for grades. What are they supposed to study?

If you are n Texas, I can answer that - some one who does not have brains, decided to make Texas start school all at the same day... BUT... they did not change their textbooks audits... so the audits are all scheduled for the week that school gets out (or a few days afterwards)... so books had to be in early this year... normally, we would have been out for a week or two.. but not with the new rule of all starting later....

We started a tradition with friends on the last day of school. Supper party!!! The kids needed to blow of steam and the moms needed to celebrate surviving the 1st year of jr. high. It was definitely an adjustment for all of us. 3 years later, we're ready for our 3rd annual party, surviving 8th grade and the youngest kids finishing 6th grade - with plenty of Margaritas for the moms!!!
