Does anyone know what time we leave St Thomas? Bill is going golfing, that excursion is scheduled to be back at 2:15. He wants to go shopping in St. Thomas but I'm not sure if we'd have much time - so I want to go without him.

Thanks! I looked on the website but couldn't find times. I'm not a fan of the website. :rolleyes1

Go without him and pick a time to meet up at 3 for a final hurrah. ;)

We purposely got lost on St. Thomas last time we were there (i.e. wandered back roads aimlessly), and had the best time. We're already trying to plan for our getting lost time again!

Hey all........we had a nice 4th.......big bbq on the beach, then fireworks at night while sitting on the jetty and making smores while we were waiting........All 3 of our girls were there, one brought 5 friends and the other brought a BF. Also, some family stopped by so we were busy.......yesterday "The Rents" celebrated their 51st anniversary.........today we are in recovery mode.........I guess there's only one thing left to do............START PACKING!!

Good Morning All!

We had a nice but hot 4th of July. ds14 marched in the local parade, he said it was a lot of fun. All of their hard work paid off, the band looked and sounded very good. The directors are former Drum Corps members, so their style and philosophy is very similar.

DH works part-time as a race photographer, so he was up and out early to photograph a race. He also picked up tickets for the Houston Symphony's free 4th of July concert and fireworks. We went down early for a picnic in the park before the concert. As always the 1812 Overture complete with cannon is a crowd favorite.

I'm entering my busy phase before we leave - I'm starting a project for the Houston area YMCAs conducting safety and records audits of the aquatic departments. This year, there are three of us auditing, I don't have quite so many to do. But, it will still be busy - I'm trying to get them finished before we leave.

Hmmm, does anybody know the word for that feeling that's equal parts excitement and panic 'cause that's what's I woke up with this morning!

Excitement that we can say we're leaving NEXT WEEK  but panic :scared1: at the realization of just how much I've got to pull together to make that actually happen!

I'm usually sooooo organized, but for some reason not so much this time around. I think it's called "excitipanica" and I've got a serious case of it!!! Anybody else got it?

Jamie

We are entering our busy phase too. The kids are both at sleepaway camp this week, I head to Rhode Island for a wedding on Friday, the kids will be at grandmas for the weekend. I get back Monday, kids will come home, and then we have to man the snowball stand for boyscouts at the local carnival Tues and Wed. We leave Fri the 17th, at 7:30. I am packing this week while the kids are gone, lovely gram agreed to wash the camp clothes, so I can throw a few more things into the suitcase, and off we go on the 17th. EEK!! Everyday this week I will be running errands at lunch!

If you want to meet up - my plan for St. Thomas is to go to the Sapphire beach in the morning, snorkel, play, then head back to the ship for a quick bite around noon. Then DD and I will probably shop, either with or without DH and DS, depending on what they want to do. If you want to head out in the afternoon with us, feel free!

We are heading out early AM 7/17 and should be at the Radisson late afternoon. :drive:then :boat: then:beach: :cool1:

We fly out at 5pm on the 17th - making a connection in Charlotte - and arriving around 9:45pm. We're spending the night at the Hilton Garden Inn and then taking FLTours to the ship.....

I'm so glad I only have 5 more shifts.... of course they are all 12 hour shifts and tonight and tomorrow are night shifts.....
