I'd be lying if I didn't say mine was the prime rib. I hate to sound so... American, but it's really the best I've ever had. To be fair, though, I have to eat it with the spicy red pepper sauce they have sitting next to it, so I guess that Africas it up a bit. :)

Other than that, I love the falafel/yogurt sauce, as well as pretty much all the soups. The latter is especially odd for me because I really pretty much hate ALL soups, but they're all so perfectly flavored that I usually end up having a couple of bowls. There's also that ginger soup, but I usually categorize that in the "dessert" section. :)

But there really isn't ANYTHING they have that I don't love, and I eat at least a small bit of pretty much everything when I go. (Ugh... I'm starting to drool)

And then dessert. I'm always stuffed by the time I get to it, but I don't care... Zebra domes and bread pudding for the win! :)

Of course, there's recipes for all this stuff on various Disney sites, and they've always been really good about giving me the recipes for things that I might want, but it's just never the same making it at home. It's like they sprinkle pixie dust on it or something.

I hear ya about the recipes. DH asked me if I could make the Palo chocolate souffles at home. I told him no the only place you can get them is on the Magic or Wonder! It's just not the same anywhere else.

I don't remember the ginger soup, but I'll try it out next week and think of you (in a good way of course).

I wonder if they still shoot fireworks on the cruises at sea? Anyone know?QUOTE]

They did last year. Pirate night at the pirate party:

It's weird, but I think I've only had a couple of incidents of fireworks on board throughout all the times we've sailed. There's a lot of factors that go into it, I believe. I know it has to be incredibly calm with no winds, and the captain has to position the ship for it. Also, there might be some sort of regulations that affect when they can do it. But, I go to sleep early a lot of the times, so it's possible that I've missed several. :)

Heh heh. Unless you don't like it, then pretend I didn't tell you to eat it. :)

I've actually been there on a couple of occasions in which they didn't serve it, but most of the time they do. Be prepared, though. They call it ginger carrot soup, but it doesn't really taste much like either. Just a faint taste of ginger. Mostly, it's just heavy cream, and tastes like an amazing-yet-melted ice cream. I made my mother try it, and she was really nervous about what sort of flavor it would have, but after she tried a bowl she went back for two more. :)

Hope you all had a wonderful 4th! My mother in law had 31 people over at her house (the one with 2 bathrooms that we are staying at) But she had plenty of leftovers from their big 50th get together! the kids did their traditional...run aroud the house before the picolo pete was done.....am I crazy or are those A LOT shorter then they used to be! there were about 8 littles running around the house and the older teenagers couldn't resist hiding and trying to scare them as they ran by. Good times!
Hope to hear what some of the rest of you did :yay:

Sadly, we've got company coming over on Monday, and so I spent the entire day trying to play catchup cleaning after having to repaint the room and losing two days. The end result was that we watched the neighbor's fireworks through window and the comfort of air conditioning. It was kind of lame, but we had some relaxing time snuggling the girls after everything was over. :) Sounds like you guys had a blast!

Had a good time watching fireworks with our neighbors last night. There is a small campground within walking distance that has a small lake they shot fireworks off of. Nothing like Disney but nice to not have to drive anywhere. My to do list is getting shorter. Just finished our t-shirts now all I've got left to do is one paper for my class and pack of and a Dr apt and a hair apt on Monday in between work.

Having spent the last three years in Africa, I find that very close-minded.:sad2:

Although, I must admit that I'm unfamiliar with "Boma", can you enlighten me??? :confused3

Boma is wonderful definitely one of our favorites. DS loves muscles and it is all you can eat. If you like trying new and unique dishes, Boma is the best.

After spending the past week "spring" cleaning and reorganizing the house, I've come to the conclusion that I believe I will just live on the cruise ship, and be done with all this home owning stuff that takes so much time and energy in favor of letting someone else do it for me. :)

I like the way you think.... :cool1:

We are staying at Kidani village the 2 days prior to the cruise. Maybe we will see you there!!!;)

We are only at Kidani for a few nights, then we move over to SSR. On July 16 (Thursday) we go to Port Canaveral so we can visit the Kennedy Space Center on Friday. I'm not totally thirlled about all this moving around, it will be nice to be on the ship for 7 nights!

I'm with you. When I go on vacation I want the shortest distance between the moment I'm free to the moment I'm relaxing, both there and back. Even tagging on extra days on either end for water parks or resorts kind of take away from the relaxation because of all the luggage packing/unpacking and traveling. It DOES sound like you're doing some fun stuff, though, so I think it's probably worth the tradeoff! :)
