I will give your son's e-mail address to my DD. Her name is Lisa, and hopefully she will be in a join in type of mood. What's your son's name?

We haven't received our ribbons yet, but I'm sure I'll be jumping up and down when we do. Cam, I'm so jealous you only have 2 more days of work left! It gets impossible towards the end to think of anything else.

Does anyone know whatever became of our signature lines?

Mary, I thought your #11 was too funny. I can't decide whether to lug the laptop on the cruise. It might be useful for downloading digital pics. If I have it, I will be on through Friday. Otherwise, we leave on Wednesday.

Cam, the card was just great --- hope you don't mind but I assigned Ian to make up something similar.

I am thinking about packing --- maybe this weekend?

Thanks Cam for the ribbons!! DS called me that he had opened the mail, and was very impressed! His name is Garrett, and he is looking forward to meeting all of you.

I will be the last one on the boards, as we are driving up on Saturday morning. So you can look for me through Friday night!

I'm looking forward to much shopping and starting to lay out stuff to pack this weekend. The official count down has begun!

Hi, everyone! So glad to be home. Walked in the door last night around 11:30, I guess and was back at work this morning sometime between 5:30 and 6. Crazy day, too and I will definitely have to work Sunday, since I can't go in tomorrow -- gotta go to the hairdresser to have her "disappear" my grey! Then tomorrow afternoon is Andy's party -- just a few family friends and their kids and my parents and my brother and his family. Just wait until he gets a load of our gift. He is definitely going to be reluctant to leave home for 10 days.

I am glad everyone is getting their ribbons. Those business cards were a hint from the DIS boards on our last cruise. I wish I had had them re-done since Jenn now spells her name with 2 "n's" and both kids, I am sure, would love to have their email addresses on the cards.

Another tip: Your kids might like to take a small address book and have everyone put their contact information right in there, so it is all in one place.

Well, Howard is going to pick up Jenn at the movies and I am going to bed.

We will be on the boards until Wednesday night -- we hope to leave here by 7:30 Thursday morning for our SW flight out of BWI. I am hoping my next Disney visa bill will have been generated by then, so that I can redeem more reward dollars. We have $204 on the rewards card right now and will use it for all our expenses in WDW Thursday and Friday and will use the balance on the ship.

Cam ~ I got my ribbons today. Thanks so much! Brian rolled his eyes when I showed them to him (much like when I showed him the matching tropical ºoº shirts!), but agreed to wear it next Saturday. Your cards are really cute. I wish I had time to make some up before we go, but I don't think it's going to happen. I feel your working late pain. Thursday night I stayed till 7 and tonight I got home at 9. I really should go in this weekend, but I think I'll just work late Monday night so I can enjoy the weekend (and finish any errands that need to get done). Plus, Jake's friend Matt that is joining us on the cruise is in a band that is playing at a local coffee house Saturday night. That boy can jam on the guitar!! Jake took drum lessons for a few years and is pretty good (Cam - make sure you have a good soundproof room for Andy's drum set!!)

We are leaving for the airport in Indy at about 8 next Friday morning. I'm sure I'll be on the boards Thursday night (AFTER I've finished packing!). Our flight leaves at 11 am. Today at work I happened to look at my watch at exactly 11 am. A big smile came over my face as I thought where I would be next Friday at that time!

I know what you mean about not missing a hairdresser appointment. Brian asked me tonight if we could have our friend who is going to housesit/dogsit for us over for dinner next Tuesday. I told him that was not possible because Jake and I have appointments with my sister (a hairdresser) that we can't change. Then he wanted to move the dinner to Wednesday. That wouldn't work either. I work for a large multi-specialty medical clinic. On Wednesday there is a ground breaking ceremony for a new 140 bed hospital that we are going to build. I have worked for this clinic for 18 years and really want to be at the groundbreaking ceremony. Then he asked me about Thursday night. Another no go....I'm getting my "pre-vacation manicure" right after work! Plus, if history repeats itself, I'm sure there will still be last minute things to do (fun things like clean the bathrooms, clean out the fridge...).

I hope everyone has a good weekend and is ready for some R & R come Saturday. A friend of ours was over tonight and asked me what I was going to do while the boys were parasailing on CC. I told him my goal was to have a few drinks, catch some rays, and love life! Only 4 more days of work for me (I'm not saying how many hours each day will be though!)!

You guys are TOO funny about your appointments ... but I'm the same way!

I'm getting "blonded" on Wednesday evening (my natural color is a yucky light brown, coupled with the ever-proliferating gray). My children will be with me - Christopher always gets a pre-vacation buzz cut (his hair is SO unmanageable) although this time he is asking to spike his bangs and color them. I thought it might look okay if we color it blonde or something not too noticeable, but he's talking about BLUE! (Not only did I say "NO!!", but we're cruising with my father - PapaJack - who is very conservative and would NOT approve!!)

Tori also needs a trim - she is growing her bangs out and they too are unmanageable - hence the ever-present headband!

My Mom (Tina, who is also cruising with us) and I have spa appointments on Thursday to get our manicures and pedicures. That will be a LOT of fun - side-by-side pampering!!

Here is my tip of the day - and it's especially for Jeanne - DON'T wait until the last minute to start packing!! I'm such a freak that I've been packing (or at least getting stuff out into my guest bedroom) for weeks, but I've read some nightmare posts on these boards from people who started too late. That meant they got very little sleep before leaving for the cruise, and then pooped out once getting on the ship. There is TOO much to do, so fatigue won't be a good thing!!!!!

Hi Jill, there will be 8 of us staying at Ron Jon's Friday night. We're leaving Thursday morning from New Hampshire and driving all night. We're staying in two of the 2 bedroom units. We travel with a handicapped friend who is in a large wheelchair. You can't miss him. We'll have our green ribbons. Steve's will be on the back of his chair. My sister Cathie has a DS who is 16 and I have a DS 13 and a DD 10. Hope to see you.

We're not staying at Ron Jon's ... but look for our green ribbons before boarding at the terminal or at the sailaway party ... your DD8 will fit right in with the girls on our group!!

Hi everybody! Welcome Jill!

Well it's reaching a fever pitch now! I loved all the hair color stories, and now I actually have a tip to offer (well, I had to have at least 1!) Beauty supply shops sell something called a color crayon, which is temporary color that will wash out with shampoo. I color every 4-5 weeks, and we are going away at the end of the 3rd week. My hairdresser gave me this tip so no ugly gray will show through while I'm away (perish the thought!),and so I wouldn't have to take freshly colored hair into an ocean and the sun--they always get mad about that!

I see packing as a long project, so I think we'll be working on it during the evenings next week. With DS away, there will be some rare quiet time

Hi, everyone & welcome Jill!

Glad to hear everyone is getting so excited. We are now totally focused on the trip, with Andy's party done. He LOVED his drumset and said his birthday cake wish came true so quickly!!! He was stunned to hear that the drumset has been in the house the whole time since he got home from camp and he didn't know it! (It was less than 24 hours )

Okay, here is my tip of the day: Wear your closer fitting clothes early in the week and save the looser stuff to wear later in the week after days of indulgence, including food and frozen libations!


all right, guys, off to bed. I know you can't believe I didn't write a book again today! I promise I am really not as weird as I seem to come across on these boards. I am just a little about to everyone and being on a "boat with waiters" being treated like a . Looking forward to sitting around at night in the clubs with other fans!
