Are you leaving soon? You said you will stop posting soon. You are a wealth of information though. You can't go yet!

We don't leave until July 13. When I said I would stop posting, I meant last night. I think I had three or four posts in a row.

What kind of camera did you get? I purchased a new camera two years ago and of course, it's now practically obsolete. I love technology but it gets expensive!

Also, where/what is the Dumbotron? I don't remember that from the Wonder 3 years ago. :dumbo:

Terri :beach: (me - CC - 13 days!)

I got a Sony DSC W70. I have to admit, I really like it. I have been looking at some of the pictures I took last night, and they are really clear.

The Dumbotron (I am not sure if that is the official name, or the name that the DIS gave it) is behind the stage at the Goofy pool. Stuff is shown on it during sailaway parties. I have also heard that they put Playhouse Disney on it in the mornings (odd, since the kids who would want to watch Playhouse Disney would probably be at the Mickey Pool), and Disney Channel Movies (like High School Musical) in the afternoons. They have been showing PotC on it after the Pirate Party late at night. We may see PotC 2, depending on what DCL does. More than likely, the Wonder will get it when she goes into drydock this October.

Quick question. Does anyone know if you can carry on board presents that are already wrapped? Should I place them in my check in luggage? Since we will be celebrating Zach & Savannah's birthday on the cruise I wanted to have a few things for them to open.

Thanks!!!! :thumbsup2

P.S. Finished another door sign. It is displaying the lovely lime green micky's!!

I know if you carry a wrapped present through airport security, there is a good chance you will need to unwrap it.

However, if you put it in your checked bags, the contents are not visually inspected, only x-rayed. So there is a good chance that they would not even know it was wrapped.

My suggestion would be put it in checked bags (if not fragile), and put a note on it that if security needs to unwrap it, ask them to tape it up again. :)

Hi, just back from my night out, and a viewing of Pirates. I wanted to just stop in to say that I loved it. I do think it is pretty intense for younger children, so I would advise those with children under 9 or so to check it out first. My 10 year old will be fine with it, but those, I believe under 6 may be scared at some parts. The sea creatures that you see on the previews are pretty scary.

Johnny Depp was awesome again.

Good night all. I will awake with one week to go, and the busyness of packing will begin full force, I am sure, by MOnday. I am ready, ready, ready!!

We have changed our pre-cruise hotel again. The Radisson had a non-smoking room open up, so we are back there. I will go back to check, but I think I remember someone else staying at the Radisson from a few pages ago. If anyone is up for a meeting Friday night, let me know.

One more thing...

I updated the Cruise page with what is going on each day.

Good Morning :sunny:

Lets get up and stretch :yay: :cheer2:

Lots to do lots to do

Everyone check your list

Fill out your forms

Lasts loads of laundry

My motto: always leave a clean house before vacation and if possible no laundry (less to do when you get home :)

Enjoy your day because were almost on our way! :dance3:
(more ryhming sorry :rolleyes1 )

Thanks for the info. We almost took Savannah last night to see it but changed our mind. Even though she doesn't scare easily, we think she is a little young to see a movie like that. So we promised to take her to see CARS today. I will just have to be patient and maybe I will get to see it on the ship.

I couldn't sleep last night so I started to pack. I got Savannah almost all packed and I got out all of Zach's things. I'm just going to do a little each day so I don't stress about it. My goal is to have everything done by Thursday. This way I can try to relax on Friday. YEAH RIGHT!!!!

Thanks so much for that! To us newbies, it makes it all so much more clear before we even get there. I didn't realize dinner times actually change each day. :confused3

All the talk about this camera makes me want to go out and get it. We have the Canon Digital Rebel and it's so big. I love the camera for everyday things but taking it on vacation is another story. I may have to head over to Best Buy today!!

Once you get your dinner time, it stays the same through out the cruise. In other words, if you have APL, you will eat each day at 5:30 no matter what restaurant you are in.

Oh, duh, I see. Can you tell I need all the help I can get?
Thanks again!

T-shirts and magnets are done!!

I suppose the pink is not that bad. But we will stand out.

Howdy. I'll be aboard the Majic next week and last year a discussion topic lead to the small resin models which can be purchased on the cruise. Several folks wanted one. I had asked then if anyone wanted for me pick one up on this cruise, I'll do so. Let me know. Of course not for free.....

I just purchased the Sony DSC W50 (almost the same day as thegales bought his!). I wanted the W70 but no one in town had it so I went with the 50. So far I like it. It's so small I'm afraid I'll forget it somewhere!
