July 15-22 2006 Western Anyone?

I'm in the midst of packing, one more load of laundry needs to be done in order to finish. I think we will end up with one suitcase for each of us, dh's golf clubs, and a garment bag. We will take our softsided cooler as a carryon as well. I was thinking of jamming everything into 2 suitcases but that leaves no room for anything we may purchase - can't have that now can I!!

I'm not sure if I'll get another chance to post but I'll try tomorrow before we leave. In order to enjoy our fancy airport hotel room we decided to go early and Noah can go swimming. We bought him a new game for his GameBoy and he was not happy that we won't let him have it until Monday.

DH and I watch Pirates of the Caribbean last night (the 1st one) and we are trying to decide if it's ok for Noah. I'm afraid the ghosts may be a bit too much. Although I almost think he has to see it since there are so many things that are themed by it. Such dilemas

Well I best get back at it. If I don't get a chance to check in later - safe travels to all of you - looking forward to our meet on the 15th!

Went to see CARS today. It was cute! We really wanted to see POTC II but with Savannah it was a no go. My neighbor volunteered to watch her for us on Monday so we can go see it. I think I may have to take her up on that offer.

Call me a copycat, but I found the Sony Digital Camara (DSC W70) and you can guess what happened next, yup, we bought it. Like I said earlier we have the Canon Digital Rebel which I love, but it is so big to lug around. We actually went to Best Buy and they were out of stock. I was like, ok, that is a sign, we really don't need it. I came home got on the computer and saw that Circuit City had it in stock. I told DH and next thing I knew we were on our way to get it. That is it, no more shopping until the cruise!!!! I can official say that I am a SHOPAHOLIC!!! I think I need help.

WOW, I'm amazed at how little luggage you will have!!! How do you do it? I already have a bag planned just for shoes!!! I may have to re-think this packing thing.

lol, that reminds me. After my DD10's dress rehearsal for her dance receital, we found a video camera. We thought we knew who left it, but we weren't quite sure. then someone had the great idea to just watch some of the video to see who was on it. but then we thought better, just in case . We decided just to wait to see who claimed it.

It actually seems like a lot to me! We got rid of the garmant bag . So we are down to 3 suitcases, golf clubs, and our carryons. We don't take much for shoes. DS will wear sandals exclusively, DH is bringing dress shoes, sandals and wearing his tennis shoes, I have 2 pairs of sandals and 1 pair for dress and will wear tennis shoes on the plane. Oh, I also have flip flops for the pool/beach and Noah has water shoes.

I do plan on doing laundry at WDW and probably on the cruise also. Since we will be gone for almost 2 weeks there's no avoiding it. This helped reduce the number of outfits.

I see we all have been really busy. I know that it has been very busy here. Everyone is so excited. We are starting that, "Next week at this time we will be...." It is too funny.

Oh, sillykidsmom. Went to see Def Leppard and Journey last night, and they were both fantastic. It was so neat to dance and sing along. They sounded just as good as ever.

I have been researching the beaches in Cozumel. Paradise Beach seems to be a good one. Has anyone ever been there? Paradise Beaach has free admission and free use of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Water sports are an additional fee. I had wanted to do the ruins, but I'm turned off with all the mosquito talk I've read on other cruise sites.
If anyone has been to Paradise Beach, I'd appreciate your input.
To everyone that is leaving for vacation: Have a safe trip! I am looking forward to meeting everyone on the cruise.
Oh. . . one other thing . . . has anyone done the Nautilus Undersea Tour in Grand Cayman?

I broke down and bought the second memory card for my camera. I am still not happy about it.

The excitement level is building in the house. The girls made sure to tell everyone at church that we were going on a cruise. We have to get serious about packing today. We have just been in the gathering stage. We now need to start organizing it.

We are doing the same thing here, "Next week at this time....." It is coming fast upon us. My DH's family is on the Magic right now!! They are doing the Eastern Caribbean.

We have arrived in Milwaukee. The room is nice but showing age. So now vacation has started - what are we doing - Noah is playing GameBoy, Bill is watching golf, and I am checking the board. Woo Hoo!!! I think we will head down to the pool shortly.

Suitcases are at 90% fullness. DH is taking care of pool needs and lawn set up and making sure all camera things are together. Have neighbor taking in mail

Also finishing my ten minute tidy of the house

So all in all not much left to do but lock the door.

I am now working on another magnetic door sign. I'm doing one up with the POTC theme. Not only are these boards addicting, making the door signs are too. My creative juices are flowing (that doesn't happen very often) so I better get back to the sign. Savannah is in the pool with daddy so it's the perfect time to do this.

They are addicting. I loved making my signs. The only thing stopping me from making more is the cost of the magnetic paper. I guess i could do the magnetic strips.....somebody STOP ME!! I think way too much.

My mother is staying here while we are gone, so I plan to really clean Monday and Tues, so packing can really get going on Wed. I keep adding stuff to the pile. I just do not know how I am going to fit everything in .

The funniest thing is that I am carrying every vitamin I take, DH needs Imitrex for the migraines that get him, it seems, on every vacation, tylenol, Bonine, just to name a few. I may have my bags searched for drug traffiking.

I think overpacking may be an issue here. We will see how it all works out. I think I will make a game of it, and try to limit myself a bit.
