July 15-22 2006 Western Anyone?

I lied. I am still posting.

Formal night is Monday. The entertainment for the night is Golden Mickeys. Thursday is semi-formal, and the entertainment is Disney Dreams (my DD10's favorite character on the cruise is Ann Marie).

Bahama Form is for Castaway Cay day, July 21.

Are you leaving soon? You said you will stop posting soon. You are a wealth of information though. You can't go yet!

Wow, everyone was chatting away last night. I think my exhaustion kicked into full gear last night because I was in bed at 9.

If all goes well in Key West we too will skip dinner on the ship. I would rather eat at Sloppy Joes anyway. Yummy!!!! I'm trying not to get my hopes up but it is so hard. I want the kids to experience Mallory Square.

Do the Bahama immigration forms have to be filled out prior to boarding? I haven't even looked at any of that yet. I remember getting them on our last cruise though.

The Bahama forms need to filled out prior to boarding. I have most of it done, guess I can finish at check in. Never sure what to put down for TA, number of nights, etc. - the section 2 stuff.

Thank you very much, but I have a small stash of Captain Morgans Spiced Rum ( the little bitty bottles) that I am bringing for night one. I think when we go to Key West I will find a liquor store and see what I can do. I think it will be okay to purchase it there and bring it onboard.

I am really looking forward to some really good drinks. I don't drink a lot, or I should say, often. I can drink a lot if I take the notion. :rolleyes1 Just the thought of sitting on the beach with drink in hand, and no worries. Oh, can we go now!!!????

Well if you change your mind just let me know. I'm not a big drinker either. Lately if you saw me you would think I'm an alcoholic!!! Every weekend for the past 3 weeks we've had parties at our house. You would have thought I just turned 21!

I'm with you. I'm looking forward to a nice drink on the beach. Soon, we will be going soon!!!

Aren't you leaving soon too? Your another one that is a wealth of info. I better break out those forms and start filling them out.

You have to tell me how the movie was. Zach and Jon are going sometime this afternoon but I want a woman's perspective on it.

We always have a house full of kids. With having a pool and a game room, the kids always migrate over here. I love it though!!! I haven't experienced the sleepovers yet. I guess it will be coming soon. 3:00am!!! Did you get any sleep?

I was planning on going to the beach today with the kids but there is a 80% chance of rain today in the Sunshine State. I knew I should have went yesterday.

I will definitely let you know about the movie. I am not sure that I will be on here tonight, because we are going somewhere ( not sure where) after the movie. I am sure I will have to get on for at least a little. :thumbsup2

We do not have too many kids in this part of the neighborhood. They are all away it seems. No one is home or out. We had to plan this sleepover. Today is house clean up day, so I am sure I will hear some complaining. I just have to get it decent enough to get through the weekend. Oh, and the yard. Why does it have to grow so darn fast? It would be nice if it could wait until next week, but it looks like it better be done now too. bummer!

A week from tomorrow, I will be half way to Florida...in a plane....thousands of feet up....giving up my control  BUT, the reward....a magical time!!!

I hope I did mine right. I just filled in 0 nights, because we would leave that evening, and for travel agent, I put AAA of Tidewater. It was a bit confusing, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is right.

All forms are filled out and signed. Got all documents together, passports, birth certificates, cruise docs. I can check that off my list! Back to cleaning the house. I told the kids before they go out and play that anything left around will be subject to the garbage. Wow, did the pick up fast!!! (of course a little pouting and moaning)

Sunset in Key West on July 16 is at 8:18 pm.

We are planning on skipping dinner on the ship that night (assuming we stay in Key West until 10:00 pm.)
I see that many of you are revealing names. So here I go . . . my name is Doreen, husband Tony, kids are Kyle and Justine. I am hoping all goes well with Key West and we do stay in port longer than scheduled.
I see some of you are skipping dinner. Do you think it's possible to attend the Main seating dinner and still get off the ship in time for sunset at Mallory Square? I'm not sure I could convince my husband to skip dinner.
A week from today we will be airborne en route to Orlando. We are staying one night at Wilderness Resort. I thought that would be better than flying the day of the cruise. My mother-in-law is a DVc member and gave us some points for the room.
OK . . . time to go shop for a dress!

I have mine filled out and all together also. I think I check them every other day. I am so afraid of getting there and not having something.

I have not done one bit of cleaning yet. I did my exercises, got everyone breakfast, watered the plants, started wash, and brushed the dogs. It seems that the days are just getting shorter and shorter....or maybe I am getting slower and slower. :rotfl2: I have a few errands. Pups need treats etc. My mom is watching the house next week, so I am going to shop for special things for her and my aunt to eat and drink. I might as well get that done today.

I will,of course, check back again soon. I am so addicted. I walk by the computer and say," Tammie, move along, you do not need to check the DIS boards. No, no, no, stop!!! You can do it......Oh well, don't listen to the angel on your shoulder. Just a quick check. " :rotfl:

Have fun shopping.

I am not sure about being able to attend the main seating and still make it to Mallory Square. I also have the main seating, but I have never been to any ports before, so I do not know how close the ship will be, or what it will take to get off the ship. We shall see.

Don't worry, I will stop posting soon.

So, I bought a new camera. This has been very aggravating.

What kind of camera did you get? I purchased a new camera two years ago and of course, it's now practically obsolete. I love technology but it gets expensive!

Also, where/what is the Dumbotron? I don't remember that from the Wonder 3 years ago. :dumbo:

Terri :beach: (me - CC - 13 days!)

Hi Disers on the 7-15 Western. Don't mean to impose, but I'm on the 7-29 Western, and was lurking on your thread in anticipation since you're the next Western group to leave!
Saw the last 2 posts about the camera memory, and wanted to add that I've read that you can go to Walgreens in Key West and put your photos on a cd for about $4. (Take all your photos of the stateroom, ship, etc the first day, then go to Walgreens) Then you'll have a fresh start for the rest of the cruise. That's my plan, too, with only two 512 cards! :thumbsup2

Good Luck and hope you all have fun!
:wave2: Thanks! That's good advice!

Terri

I'm opposite of you. I got the cleaning done but exercise, hmmm what's that. Isn't cleaning a form of exercise? I don't know what got into me today. I guess it's the 11 hours of sleep I got last night.

Yes, house cleaning is a form of exercise. :thumbsup2

I have a commitment to exercise every day very early and it is my first priority for ME. Of course it is mixed in with the priority of children, but if I get the exercising done, I feel better about the rest of the day. It just seems that everything takes so much longer with the kids here. This summer that is especially true.

Well, back to that cleaning now. I was cleaning the computer screen and...... ;) I may see another spot , so you never know when I will be back.

Have a wonderful and safe trip. You must be so excited!!!

Quick question. Does anyone know if you can carry on board presents that are already wrapped? Should I place them in my check in luggage? Since we will be celebrating Zach & Savannah's birthday on the cruise I wanted to have a few things for them to open.

Thanks!!!! :thumbsup2

P.S. Finished another door sign. It is displaying the lovely lime green micky's!!

If your checked bag is opened for inspection they will most likely unwrap the gift. I would suggest taking wrapping paper and doing it upon arrival.
