Dont know what a fish extender is or what it does. But would love some details. This is our 1st cruise in years. The last ship we sail on is now on the bottom of the Ocean, SS Independance. Her sister ship was the SS Constitution (remember the ship that Grace Kelly took to marry Prince Rainier of Monaco)

I did the Fish Extender thing last trip, it was cool but don't think I will be doing it this trip, just not my thing, want to meet everybody and anybody though because I love meeting new people

Leis sound like a great idea. i printed off the coolest picture from the creative dissigns site"Cruisin with the Mouse"
I am making that my sign.
I finally figured out this t shirt thing. Natalie from that thread was amazing!!!
Everyone should take a look at that site, they are amazing.

I'm unsure by your post if you want to participate in the Gift Exchange... you mentioned the Meet & Greet and your cabin numbers, but no mention of the Gift Exchange. I think this might be partially my fault because I'm not sure if I've done a particularly good job of explaining how the Fish Extender Gift Exchange works.

I think the part I might not have explained well is that the FE Gift Exchange is sort of like a Secret Santa Gift Exchange. Everyone hangs something outside of their cabin door from a silver fish message clip, thus the name "Fish Extender" -because you are extending the capability of DCL's silver fish clip. Then, everyone who is participating in the FE Gift Exchange picks a time during the cruise to go around to everyone else's cabin doors and put a surprise (or surprises) in everyone's Fish Extender.

Here's a breakdown of how it works:
A WEEK BEFORE THE CRUISE:
*Print off the list of participants' cabin numbers (I will PM this to you) and be sure to pack it in your suitcase. You'll need the cabins numbers to know where to deliver your gifts.
*Purchase (or make) your surprises. You can do one gift per cabin, or one gift per person in each cabin, or little gift bags, or whatever you'd like. The possibilities are endless. See the links in the previous posts if you'd like ideas.
*Make or purchase a "Fish Extender" to hang from your cabin's silver metal fish message clip to hold the goodies you receive. Any kind of bag will work.
DURING THE CRUISE:
*Pick a day/time to deliver your surprises to every cabin on the list by putting your gifts into everyone's "Fish Extenders"! This is a lot of fun!
*Enjoy all the little surprises you find in your own Fish Extender! This is even MORE fun!

I'm so glad you want to participate in the FE Gift Exchange and the Meet & Greet! Both will be a lot of fun! I found a previous post where you listed who is sailing with you. For those who are planning to give a gift to everyone in each stateroom, please let me know who is sailing in which cabin. Also, please be sure to let me know what cabin number is assigned to your GTY after DCL assigns those cabins (around June 15th).

A friend of mine has also had great success with printing onto photo paper and then sticking her graphics onto adhesive-backed magnet paper. The colors turn out really good using the photo paper and this also skips the need for laminating.

I did the same thing for our sign on our last cruise! Very easy.

Hi! Welcome aboard! We're so glad you've joined our Meets Thread!

Our Meet & Greet will be between the 3pm Lifeboat Drill and the 4pm Sail Away Party at Topsider's outdoor tables (at the very back of the ship). You can easily get there without going through the inside of Topsiders Restaurant by walking around the starboard side of the ship, past Goofy's Galley and Scoops. It will be a fairly quick meet - starting immediately after the Lifeboat Drill, so that everyone can get to Goofy's Pool by the 4pm Sail Away Party.

After you've had a chance to read through our thread, let me know if you'd like to join in on our Gift Exchange, too!

so, who all is going to Disneyland before the cruise or after? I am won't be staying at a Disneyland hotel but i'll be staying at at a hotel around there. I can't wait for the cruise hopefully the college club social is as good as the last cruises I went on so I'll be able to meet and hang with more people
