Last year the people next to us had a few magnets because I think they had purchased the birthday package. We celebrated our honeymoon last year but did not decorate our door. We forgot....in the midst of getting married etc to do them lol

Hey Mari, I am so stressed out right now. So much to do and I'm pulling 16 hours at work tonight to get some time in before I leave. We'll be leaving the house at 5 pm tomorrow night so I may or may not get a post in before I leave. So I can't wait to meet you all and have a safe trip.

Alright ladies, here's my last post. I'm heading off to the airport woo hoo. Won't be in Disney till Sunday but thats ok. We're going to Tampa for a few days and then up to Disney. I hope you all have safe trips to Florida and can't wait to see everyone on the cruise

Just took the kids to a side trip to Denver...

We're here for a bit..just trying to get everyone packed and last minute items purchased.

The gal constructing our FE is going to send it to the ship..so we will see if it actually makes it I was totally unaware the terminal accepted packages..

We wish you all a great trip We plan to be at the terminal early as well

Ist time cruiser here- just found this thread. This cruise is to celebrate our 20th anniverasry. Myself, DH and DD,14 will be leaving Thursday. Can't wait!!!

OOH I am sooo jealous, I don't leave until Friday. I have my dh & ds(8 & 12) clothes packed snuck some of my stuff for the cruise in there too), tonight will be the toiletry bag. Gee, I'll wonder what dh will say when asked if he packed hi own luggage, . Well, my wife packed it and I don't think she would put anything banned in the bags, although I didn't take the trash out the other night so I can't say for sure, she did say something about getting even.

I have all kinds of goodies for him and the kids on the plane so they will keep occupied. I'll be a nervous wreck all morning tomorrow until they land at Orlando, at least they have an early flight and I can track it while I'm on the computer at work.

I'll probably be back on tomorrow night when it is all quiet in my house.

DH & the 2 youngest boys got there safe. Had a mishap at the airport, DS7 seemed to be nervous when they left at 5:30 this morning (he was shivering but it was cold in the house thanks to DH keeping it like an iceberg in the house) and last night he got a bit weepy that I wasn't going with them (he is definitely my momma's boy of all 3 boys), well when they had breakfast at the airport he had a belly ache & wanted to go to the boy's room , well needless to say, DH had to buy him a new shirt & some custodial people at Newark were probably not too happy (although knowing my MIL it would have been cleaned up by her, lol). Talked to him shortly after & he was felt much better.
They had lunch at ESPN (that seems to be the place we go first to eat), and they hit MK tonight, at about 9pm they were headed back to the room.
I am almost packed for myself (I did sneak some clothes with them). I have to work tomorrow , but I can't wait until Sunday after the drill, with a frozen : dancing with my boys at the sail away party

OK, it is 12:18am EST, I am flying in less than 12 hours, I took a break, I am still packing this is so not me (or I guess this is the new working full time me).
I got the nails done tonight, the pedi is at 8am and I am leaving straight from there to the airport.
When we get back we should do trip reports, i am one for collecting the navigators, just have to scan them (now I can do that at work, LOL)
I am planning on getting off the boat to do some shopping in nassau ( I am pretty sure my inlaws are coming with me but now from what I understand the heat & humidity are unbearable (welcome to my little world that we call NJ shore summers plus my own personal summers aren't helping) but DH said that his mom had to get a wheelchair & the kids are very tired, guessing from the heat (or maybe they miss mom Anyone want to join us? I am going to try to go to the nassau shopping presentation.
Well everyone again safe trip & I will see Mickey Mouse tomorrow night!

We' re back!
We got home yesterday (went right to the airport after leaving the ship).
Thanks sooooo much for all of the great goodies in our fish extender!!!
My DS 12 was excited to see the things in our FE. This was a great idea! I wish I had thought to do something for each day.
Anyone play Bingo? I played every session and was one # away from that jackpot, that would have been nice to put towards the next cruise
If anyone and heard Pikey mention Vincent: that was my DS12. We had a lot of fun, I am still unpacking (Was up to 2:30am last night, we got in our car from my inlaws house and my mom called, she was at the emergency room with my dad so I went to the ER last night after I got the kids settled. He finally got a room today, he was having some heart issues and his BP was very high, so far he is ok though, just waiting on the cardiologist.)
Hopefully I can get back on here within the next couple of days to recap our adventures (one of which DS 7 got to start the Indiana Jones Stunt show, up through winning the champagne at the cruise staff happy hour ).

Hello everyone! Thats us JUST home! Its 2pm Monday 21st. I am still SO woosy since the cruise! I don't feel sick, just a bit disorientated.

Everything went smoothly for our flight home..only 7 and a half hours coming back...something to do with tail winds
I've started the unpacking and I'm about to have a go with my new toy...my Cricut Expression. For those of you who are not crafters... its just a machine that cuts letters and shapes. Mind you, it took up a WHOLE suitcase, much to my DH's annoyance.

So to summarise about the cruise.
1. we all really enjoyed it.
2.our restaurant servers were fabulous and really made it special.
3. there were times that we felt we were rushed, trying to make it for something or other and that got us all a bit stressed out.
4.we lost each other a few times...because we didn't communicate well enough and a vague "I'll get you on Deck 9" wasn't good enough
5. I think the girls wished they had got involved with the clubs sooner, but there just didn't seem the be the time early on.
6. We all LOVED doing the Fish Extender thing! It was so exciting arriving back to see goodies in the pockets. (DH found our dry erase board in a pocket in the suitcase so it was only up for the last day.

I'm starting to make too many typing errors now so I guess the jet lag is setting in. I'll probably be back online in the wee small hours when I'm eating cereal and can't sleep.

Well, my husband and I just got back, ate dinner and I just went through my 500 emails. Fun fun. Dropped our Norwegian buddy off at the airport after getting out of the airport ourselves. ( 2 diff airports, one in RI and the other in MA). Thanks to everyone for our gifts in our fish extenders. We had a blast handing out our gifts. It was also fun to come back and see what goodies we had waiting. I also thought it was funny that I'd go in the room and come out 2 minutes later and there would be more stuff. So sorry I just missed you guys. Trishde, I believe I met one of your sons. Did he tell you he saw some strange lady that wanted to unload Blowpops lol.

Thanks again I'm off to bed. It's been a long 2.5 weeks on vacation.

We all had a wonderful trip to FL and crusing. We prefer a May travel date since it was rainy in our July trip, but July was so much better traveling for the kids....many more teens for them to meet.

We've rebooked for another DCL in July 2009

Thank you for all the goodies!!!! We were hoping that the kids would learn about different places and people and the treats and goodies really reflected the different areas everyone was from. Everything we found was really wonderful!!!


One of the Louisiana girls that my DS15 met was actually called by the DJ he works with on the morning show of one of our radio stations today. She was interviewed to describe what fun she had on the cruise.

For me, I'm exhausted from the trip, and am on day 5 of a work stretch since we are so shorthanded.Tomorrow I will travel to Denver to drop off DS 8 and DS 13 for a trip to California to visit their cousins and grandparents..whew!!! Can't wait to catch up on sleep this upcoming weekend.

DD has been set up with her own email today by DD13 so I can send that to you just incase the younger ones want to "chat".

I still feel quite dizzy (feel as if I am swaying a bit and walking up hills that don't exist). Anyone else feeling this? I havn't had a Bahama Mama today...honest
