Do to the weather report of upcoming rain in the week we decided to all head to Blizzard Beach. My dad wanted us to take the big plunge on Summit Plummet.
No scooters today, Mom and Tracy decided to try it without them. We knew that there was a chairlift and we had Karsen who would play in Tikes Peak so we could switch off and they could each rest.
Getting in was fine. They should really have a stand for towels and lockers right after you walk in the gate. We did not bring towels and wanted to get lockers. Now if I would have been thinking clearly I would have told everyone to bring towels but I was worried about mom and Tracy without the scooters and giving my husband advise on what to watch for with those two. They like to push it and I could just see them falling down. Anyways enough on that, they were fine. We rented towels for a dollar a piece and put our things in the locker. Everyone took off to Summit Plummet except Karsen and I.
Well it was a love or hate feeling of the slide. My niece hated it she said it hurt going down, so much so she was crying when she got off. My mom said it hurt also but my son and my husband loved it. Now not to be mean because I also take after my mother but mom and my niece are larger people then my husband and son, which might have something to do with the pain factor.
Well that was enough for Mom and Tracy. We all joined to the Teamboat Springs family raft ride, which we all loved. This was a great ride and worth it. We did this a couple of times until Karsen afternoon meltdown. Karsen and I headed back to the cabin to do laundry and the others stayed.
I was told they did the Cross country Creek and enjoyed that also.
After dinner at the cabin we all headed to Disney Quest and Downtown Disney. The men took the kids to DQ and the females went shopping. Boy did it pour!! We were walking thru ankle deep water heading to DQ from the market place.
Well I did like the shops at the market place. I am a scrapbooker and the memories shop had some kits it was interested in. I didnt care for the scrapbooks but that is a preference. I loved the Disney Home store and picked up really inexpensive gifts for people at home. My DS and DH loved Disney Quest also. One tip there is a cafeteria on the fifth floor of Disney Quest it has pizza and cheese fries and other things. A very inexpensive quick place to eat.
