JTA sign ups at DHS EMM?

Now that these early morning events are underway, would love to hear how JTA sign ups work on these mornings. Are EMM attendees able to sign up upon entry? Are early PPOs still able to sign up before breakfast? Is the sign up location the same?

Thanks!

Now I'm starting to convince myself on the EMM event and am tempted to cancel my Hollywood & Vine 8:00 am ADR for it. Wondering if it's pretty safe to assume there'll be SOME advantage for JTA sign up with the event. If it's open for ADRs, they wouldn't block off the EMM people, would they?

My gut is telling me that most of those who went to EMM at HS didn't go for JTA sign up but other rides. Otherwise, there would be posts here by now.

From another post on here someone said there were only 82 people for EMM at HS on Monday. That was the 1st day. So not sure how many of those 82 are on the Disboards. May take a couple of weeks if the numbers are that low to get an idea. I'm planning to go on 8/22, though I'm not interested in JTA as it's just me. But my thinking is if the numbers were that low....I doubt they would have a huge impact on JTA.

Yeah... was thinking there might not be a ton here too quickly, was hoping maybe something would pop up tomorrow. Otherwise, maybe I'll have to be the one to advise in a couple weeks!

I am interested in this exact same thing! Although we aren't going until November but it's on a Monday and we also have 8am at H&V with the sole purpose of signing up before for JTA to avoid the RD line. But if I have to stand in line with EMM people also to sign up then I might just cancel the breakfast. Looking forward to hearing the reports!

Well, I'd contacted guest services online i need and this was the answer I got back:

Registration for Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple begins when Disney's Hollywood Studios opens for the day.

Not very helpful. I am 98% set to switch from the H&V breakfast to the EMM instead. We love TSM and the thought of skipping a long line for Woody and Buzz (2 yo's faves) sounds great. Was ready to sign up then saw EMM is non-refundable, so want to see if we get any new updates from tomorrow morning.

We are going to HS to August 15th which is scheduled for EMM, but we not doing the EMM (already doing the Star Wars Dessert Party in the evening so it's just not in the budget) nor do we have a PPO breakfast. Anyway, my older son wants to sign up that day so he and my DH will head over early to be let in at regular park opening. Based on our schedule for the day we are looking for a later afternoon time (4-6pmish) so I'm thinking it shouldn't be an issue. If it's a problem and he can't get a spot we have two days at the end of the week that are more open and no EMM is scheduled so he'll just do it then.

Please report back after you go!! We are going in September on a EMM day and don't have a PPO, and also need to do JTA signups, so really anxious to see how the EMM affects signups.

We had a PPO today and walked right up to JTA signup at 8am with zero wait and got the first show. I've been in the area all morning and a line hasn't built. Woohoo!

Did you see whether EMM people were able to sign up as well? I'm hoping so! We want the first show as well since we're hopping to Epcot before 11 for F&W. We're doing EMM in September

I did not ask but they did not ask either and I'm sure it would have been just fine.

Good news, there's a new EMM thread from someone who attended the event today: http://www.disboards.com/threads/hollywood-emm-august-8.3534550/

She wasn't signing up for JTA, but asked if it was possible to sign up during EMM and was told yes. :yay:

To clarify, is this all saying that PPO ADRs and EMM guests are all able to sign up for JTA before park opening and rope droppers.
