Joy & Sadness

What are you doing third? This exact scenario may differ from day to day but the combined waits for doing each attraction first or second will likely equal about the same. Once Frozen opens and the new film is running at Soarin it will alleviate some of the standby crowds at Joy/Sadness and Test Track. Ideally you would want to do Epcot at two Rope Drops to decrease wait times. One day start with Joy/Sadness and the other start with Test Track. One day FP+ Soarin and the other FP+ the new Frozen ride.

The other option(s) is to prepare for longer waits or accept you won't see it all on this trip.

I have 2 days. Aug 31 and Sept 7, both Wednesday, both should be low crowd days

Day 1 -
1. stand by by Soarin (we have breakfast at Garden Grill, which I'm not sure whether or not to keep. We don't need to meet all of the characters)
2. stand by test track
planning for Frozen FP later in afternoon

This is the day I need help with -- Sept 7
Day 2 (no Frozen)
1. stand by test track
2. joy & sadness
3. FP soarin
my daughter is hoping to get in Anna & Elsa line before closing and just wait it out.

*** I guess I'll go with that because I have to keep my boys happy too -- then can stay at TT while we go to joy & sadness

But it looks like I should make sure the boys are prepared to occupy themselves for at least 40 minutes

Has anyone been to these at rope drop recently that can report in on how long the wait has been? My kids would like to do both Joy/Sadness and Baymax and then hop over to the character spot to meet those characters. We're headed to Epcot this month and I'm trying to finalize my plans. I'm willing to use a rope drop morning on it since my dd loves Baymax depending on the wait time.

Also, in the past some of the characters that don't sign gave out autograph cards or something instead - does Baymax do anything besides a photograph? Trying to prepare my dd on what to expect before we go.

Thanks!

We went at rope drop on 6/12. We waited a little over 30 mins. Baymax after, even though the line was long, took about an add'l 5 mins.

Just a thought that this might change after FEA and the Frozen M&G are open... might the lines for Joy & Sadness shorten some, at least early in the day?

In Epcot today I have frozen fast passes for later today so I did top drop for Joy and Sadness. There were about 10 families in front of me. Done by 9:10 then did Mickey Goofy and Minnie with almost no wait I guess everyone else was in Norway

Epcot Aug 31 - low crowd day

How much time to allot for Joy & Sadness - -we'll do Test track & sum of all thrills first, so arriving around 10am I guess. Thanks.

fathers day was a very light crowd and joy and sadness was 1 hour wait. (happened to pass by and ask)

Does anyone know which characters you get to see with Disney Visa card meet & greet? That could impact our planning.
