For any of you who have recently been to Epcot, Have you by any chance ran into a purple Dragon named Figment? I fell in love with that Dragon the first time I went to WDW in 1980 and have heard that they just revamped the ride to include more of Figment. Please tell me how it is?

Welcome to the Dis!! We were there in May and they have improved that ride so much. They had added lots of Figment and the ride was so cute. They even added a few suprises along the way. :)

Welcome to the DIS Helen! Yes, they did re-work the ride. It adds more of Figment, and if you loved the first ride, they still have that tune in there!

Journey into Imagination is my favorite ride. Plenty of Figment in this new version. You will enjoy it!!!! :) :)

Are there still a lot of dark parts to this ride?? This was my favorite ride years ago when it was all Figment. When we took dd for the first time (she was 2) I didn't realized they changed it SO MUCH! It was her first ride in WDW and it wasn't a pleasant experience. Not only the dark but the quick movements and sudden loud noises really killed that ride. Glad to hear they changed it.

Most of the ride is in the dark. It still is a great ride though. Maybe if you told her about it first she would be ok.

Is it still basically the same version (Dr. Nigel) ..only with Figment added ion more? When was this version begun?

This version started last year. Yes the Dr. is still the main part of the ride along with Figment.

Thanks to all of you who answered my question! We will be going the first week in December and I can hardly wait to see the "new" show. I remember the show in 1980 and yes it was mostly dark with some cute songs and things...I collect all things Figment (Stuffed animals, pins, whatever I can get ahold of) so I need to get some more things...hopefully they have a gift shop.
THANKS AGAIN!:Pinkbounc

You will love it. It is more like the old Figment than the 2nd version. I got a magical moment for my birthday on Journey last October. They only loaded our car and let us go through by ourselves. It was great.
